I want to love this shoe. It's stylish, and my feet are getting used to the thin sole and they fit perfectly. However, after two long walks wearing both thick smart wool socks and even trying two pairs of socks, the back of the shoe still rubs painful blisters into my heel every time. They're pretty cheaply made, which I could deal with since all I can do is wear them for quick errands before I start to get blisters. I've worn the jungle moc for years and wanted to try a new style, but wish I had stuck with the moc. In fact, I'm still wearing my old, stripped down mocs because they're still more comfortable on long walks.

Hard to believe these are Merrell. Shoe felt cheap and flimsy. None of the good technical structure Merrell is known for. My foot slid around inside them, and there was very little padding or support. Very stylish, though.

I regretted not returning these shoes. The back design and material (stiff) caused blisters at the back of my heels in less than an hour of walking. Like another reviewer, I have to stop by a drugstore to buy an adhesive gel heel protector to save my feet. These are not cheap shoes and now I don't know what I'll do with them. Narrow, not true to size (1/2 size smaller than marked) and you definitely need to insert orthotics to have some arch support.

Unfortunately these didnt work out for me. I bought these for a Europe trip and they ended up being a bust. I tried breaking them in with a walk around the city but still got blisters. Such a waste of money. Im very disappointed.

I have some very similar Merrells that I abslolute adore, fit like a second skin. But apparently they are no longer available. These fit totally different, even needed a different size. Too wide, no support, not in the same world as far as comfort. VERY disappointing. Merrell, what on earth have you done to us??!!

I owned a leather pair of these back in 2006 or '07. I loved them so much. I wanted to love these so badly. I wear a lot of Merrell shoes, all size 8. An 8 in these is the right length, but VERY tight across the top of my foot. Additionally, the right and left shoe were different in the pair I got. The left zipped right up. The right shoe would not zip all the way and was very very tight. My right foot is my smaller foot. I am very sad to return these. Breaks my heart, really.

Gorgeous shoe, but disappointed with rubbing issue on both pinky toes. I gave it an hour and put them back in the box. I am a true 10.5 medium width and this shoe allows for thin socks not big bulky unless you have narrow feet. If you have overpronation issues, this won't handle even the mildest case.

I loved the shoes and was so excited to wear them but on the first wear they completely tore up the back of my heels. I guess it depends on the shape of our feet because others did not seem to have this issue. For me these shoes are a no go.

Sadly, this is the first pair of Merillls that has not worked out. I have worn Merills for years, lots of different styles, and they have always been a sure bet. Be warned, these shoes have really thin soles. My poor feet felt every pebble and rock that they encountered on their first outing in these shoes today. They really are more like slippers, I can't imagine how other reviewers can just walk all day in them. If you don't mind thinner soles, they are otherwise comfortable and pretty cute. So disappointed.

Arch support is negligible and inserts didn't work well. The right zipper kept getting stuck.

I found these very stiff and uncomfortable so I returned them. I also didn't like the look as much as I thought I would based on the picture.

The metallic toe makes it feel a bit like a clown shoe. Not much support, thin sole. I find Clarks Privo tennies much more comfortable. Returning.

BOO - This shoe has no support and cuts up the back of your feet and ankles. It's ugly and does not hold up in less than stellar weather conditions.

This shoe (in silver) is not only hideous, but also does not have adequate padding or support to constitute standing for more than five minutes. Buyer beware! The backs will scrape up your heels! If you buy these, invest in some moleskin!!

I have ordered and worn this shoe probably 10 times, this time the shoe material felt more abrasive. I have never had sore feet in the past after wearing these shoes.

I'm very disappointed in these shoes. They have very little support and flimsy structure. They are more like slippers. Not up to Merrell standards.

These Merrill’s were just not the fit or quality of a similar pair of Merrill’s that I have worn and loved for the past 4+ years. I tried and could not get a good fit with these shoes. I am so sorry because my previous pair was my “go to “ shoe for walking,shopping etc. I will try again with another style.

Caused blisters at my heels when I used it (wearing socks) for a short distance walk.

Disappointing. One shoe had a clear flaw in the mesh near the zipper, and both shoes were too loose over the instep area. When I added thick socks to compensate, the shoes were too short. Returned, thank you.

I read the few bad reviews and hoped they were wrong. I love merrells and wanted a pair that was more breathable for the summer. Unfortunately almost immediately I got HUGE BLISTERS on the heel. when I held these shoes up to my other Merrells it is clear why: the back section angles INWARD like a climbing shoe--all my other merrill's go up STRAIGHT. this works in a climbing shoe: but these shoes are made of a material that is too stiff for this type of angle. also--no arch support but an insert would easily fix this. I so want to be able to keep these but I dont think it is worth it as really can't be worn for any actual walking

NOT as pictured or described!!! I've worn this style for years as a travel and casual shoe. I've had it in a beautiful suede and in the black mesh pictured. LOVE this shoe! Imagine my surprise when I order my third pair (I wore the others out) and find out it is a solid, ugly black leather shoe. Also, this time it was too large. I put them right back in the box for return. SO disappointed!

Wanted to love them. They're cute but sooo uncomfortable. I read one review that said they were uncomfortable and didn't want to believe it. They scrape the back of my foot, have no support and no amount of fixes I tried made any difference. Don't buy them. I wish I had listened to the one bad review. Now I'm stuck with them

Yikes! In theory these are cute shoes for walking. In practice they look like something your would wear bowling or if you were cycling. My small feet look stuffed in these. Plus, they are not that comfortable; I could feel a blister coming on only my right heel even with socks. (The socks were to protect the top of my feet from the tight zipper.) So, neither cute nor comfortable = useless shoes.

These are stiffest Murrell's I've ever seen. They are also very narrow. Feel like they would be terribly uncomfortable. So I am returning.

I have had to return the same style shoe 3 times!! they all squeeked! bummer
