If they fit right, I imagine they might be comfortable. I usually wear a size 8 medium, but these felt much too narrow and my big toe was pushing against the front. They are light weight and cute, though.

After wearing Merrell's before and even this style, I was disappointed. I had to use a different insole which did help it. The shoes is still stiff but wearing it is making it loosen up. Probably won't try them again.

I was really disappointed in this shoe. The original Barrado shoes I bought years ago (like 2007) felt great right out of the box and have continued to. These are the same style but not the same materials; they felt stiff and uncomfortable.

I usually love merrells, but these didn't really work for me. I thought they ran a little small and while the light weight style should have been comfortable, I felt that they weren't sturdy enough for a walking shoe. I bought these for a vacation, but ended up leaving them at home for something with more support.

On my never-ending quest for a cute, casual shoe to wear with jeans I came across this Merrell. I normally wear a 10-10.5, but ordered up a half size based on the reviews. I really wanted to love this shoe. It has a sleek profile, looks super cute with jeans, and was comfy. The only problem is that if you have any arches at all you can't zip the darn thing up, and walking around with the shoe unzipped and hanging off of my foot was not the way to go. Sadly I will be returning these for a regular lace up variety.

I bought two pair of these shoes in a size 8.5 to try, one this color and one in dark gray and purple. The two pairs fit differently, with these being slightly longer and wider. They are also stiffer in the back of the heel. This pair fit me better, but the color scheme seems impractical given how white the mesh is. The stiffness in the back of the heel is also an issue in that I'm not sure it will break in comfortably.

Usually love Merrell but support and comfort on these was not up to par.

I really wanted to like this shoe. I have a pair of Merrell sort of like this and they are almost 4 years old so I wanted to replace them. Not going to happen - couldn't find the same ones - so I ordered these because they are very similar looking and style. Unfortunately, they are very roomy on the top and there is no padding on the top at all - just a hard, shell against your foot. I compared them to my old ones and the old ones have some padding on the top and they are very comfortable. The shell of these shoes is hard like a plastic. The shell of the old ones is more cloth and leather. So, these are going back. Bring back the old style, please!

Stiff, uncomfortable, and too small for the size listed.

I was looking for a casual, lightweight shoe to wear with leggings that would pack well. I love Merrell, and this style seemed perfect. It is very lightweight, but alas, the construction just doesn't feel like it will hold up over time, and the canvas-y material feels like it will stretch out of shape, so I'm returning them.

Not enough support for me.

Bought this shoe for trip with a lot of walking. Disappointed that there is not much padding at all. Disappointing shoe from Merrel which is usually pretty good company.

Bad fit.. I love the look of this shoe and finally ordered it. Although it fit in length, there was just too much fabric - it sagged in the middle of the foot on the outer side and did not hug my foot so it looked too big. Also the material felt a bit thin and scratchy.

I was excited to order and receive this shoe - it was "just what I was looking for" in a travel walk-around shoe. Looks smart and comfy. But I am disappointed. The materials are all manmade, even the little strip of facing around the top of the heal, which rubbed a blister on my heel even wearing socks, after a short (less than 3 mile) stroll in the park. I also felt the shoe doesn't ventilate at all and my feet felt like they would really be hot when wearing for any length of time. They run at least 1/2 size small. I am returning the 2nd pair, with regrets to have not found the shoe I'd thought.

The shoes are cute. It just didn't fit me well. I have an average width foot but high arch. They were a little lose on the sides and the left one squeaked when I walked. They fit similar to water shoes so it just didn't look good from a sporty standpoint or a fashion standpoint. I felt like the right one made my foot turn in. I love Merrill and they are my most comfortable shoes but these just didn't feel the same. Returning.

Whoever decided Styrofoam makes a good insole should lose their job. Unless you enjoy hearing squeaking noises with every step you take, you'll need to replace Merrill's cheesy styrofoam insole with another of better quality. The shoe style is great although I scuffed the silver up a bit as it was very shiny.

Some reviews suggested to order a half size larger. So I ordered a 6 1/2 instead of 6 and it swallowed my foot. It had very little support.

I had high hopes for these because I live in the Pace Glove (the original) have had four pairs to work run and play in, but the Barrado was a let down. I loved the sharp look of the white/silver but the pair I received was dingy grayish and then didn't feel comfortable at all, and I really like the barefoot feel. The zipper up the top is not attractive and the heel height cut right into my Achilles. So back they go.

These are super cute but I feel like they run a bit small and were not that comfortable compared to all my other Merrill shoes.

The more I wear these, the more I wish that I had sent them back. They are very cute, but my feet hurt more each time I wear them. They have no arch support and my moderately-high arches hurt more and more each time I wear them.

I wanted to love these shoes with all of the high ratings, but they just did not fit me well. The back of the shoe rubbed my heal red and it rubbed the top of my toes. :( It's a very cute shoe and lightweight.

The right shoe is too tight. The heel band pinches my achilles. Several pressure points. I like the look of the shoe but these won't suffice for long walks.
