These shoes felt great immediately. I usually buy Brooks Ghost for the arch support and overall comfort. Thought I would take a chance on shoes that were both hiking and walking. They are light but surround my foot with support. Arch support is not quite as intense as Brooks Ghost, but no need to add arch supports. Toe cap is rubber so should be fine in light rain or puddles...would not cross a stream in them. And they look great on! Makes my size 9 look slender and more like a size 7...okay maybe a size 8.

I love the turquoise color of these, I love the fit of Merrells, and I love the idea that these can be worn as a regular hiking shoe as well as in the water. Unfortunately, the bumps and seams inside them bothered my feet whether worn with or without socks. If your feet are not very sensitive, they might work for you.

These shoes did not fit me well; the back of the shoe is very stiff material, which caused a blister on the back of my ankle. However, I did replace them with another pair of Merrell's, and still enjoy the brand. My new shoe is cut higher, so that it will not rub in the same place.

I ordered normal size (9M) and they seemed a bit long so have ordered an 8.5 M to be certain I find the right fit. The shoe is really comfortable but did not run short on my wide foot. And they are light but have structure which is what I need.

There was no cusioning or padding in the toe box. My toes were rubbing on all the seams. Had to return

The fit and size are perfect. They are great for walking and hiking on trails. I brought them specifically to wear while walking the dogs at my local animal rescue. I find the grip on the bottom of the shoe is very good in all types of weather while walking on cement, mud, grass, or rock. I have more than one pair.

I walk a lot. I've had them two solid years and they're still going strong, just one side is starting to pull away from the sole. The laces are tough. Super easy to lace up and go.

Love these shoes! I have hiked in them, climbed a pile in a ropes coarse with them and wear them as everyday shoes. They are great! I get compliments on them all the time!

Unlike my usual Merrell size, had to order 1/2 size down for these shoes. Wear with medium thick to thin socks. Love them. Comfortable right out of the box. Good arch and bottom of the foot support. Wanted a lightweight, supportive shoe for summertime--did not need the water aspect of shoe, but just a comfortable shoe to walk my dogs.

Love these. Bought again even though I had earlier version that rubbered my ankle. These fit perfect out of the box. Love for ever summer activity when you want more support than Chacos.

These shoes are a dream! I have a bit of a wider foot - and these are perfect without having to go with the wide width. They are breathable, incredibly comfy with no break-in period necessary, and super cute! The vibram sole is also super grippy, which is great for wet rocks/surfaces on hikes! Really happy with this purchase!

I work on a flower farm. On my feet all day, usually on gravel and dirt. These shoes take it all and my feet feel great. And they don't stink which can be a problem after getting wet and then drying on your feet. Plus I love Zappos! Great service, won't buy shoes anywhere else!

This is my 2nd pair. I really love these shoes. There is no pinching & the style actually makes my feet look smaller. They're very lightweight & feel like nothing on your feet. I wear them for hiking.

These shoes are yummy! However, all my sneakers and my previous Merrell's are and were an 8 1/2, so naturally I got these in that size. Maybe because they're meshy, there was more room for my foot to slide around, so an 8 1/2 felt too large. I had to send them back and go 1/2 size smaller, and that was the jackpot. I love how cute and stylish they look and how comfortable they feel. They are fantastic on rocky and sandy hills; they grip really well. When I brought the 8 1/2 to work with me to print out the label to return them, my coworker, who runs hiking trails, tried them on and fell in love with the arch and how light they felt. i think she'll be buying herself a pair. They really are worth every penny! Merrell's is my go-to for hiking shoes!

I love these. I love the Grey/Lilac color. I have worn these without socks- when it's going to rain and with a medium weight sock when I'm walking a lot. I wear a size 7.5/8 and ordered these in a size 8. These were very comfortable right out of the box. Just be sure to wear a sock that goes up past the shoe and stays in place so you don't experience any heel rubbing.

I had actually bought these & then another pair exactly like them later. I love the style and the fact that these are not from leather. I love the removable insole and the fit is perfect for me. They have great traction as well. These are very comfortable and I wear them to walk in regularly. The only part I did not know about before getting a "quick-dry" shoe is that if it rains, or when there is dew on the grass, the water goes right in to my socks. I need to find another option for the cooler months, but this is a great shoe! I wish they had other great options, and great looking options, like this that are vegan friendly.

I already have a pair , But I haven't been able to find the same sneakers . I have a bad hip & both feet theses sneakers are great .

I can wear a shoe anywhere from size 7M - 8M depending on the make and how they run. Size 8M usually runs a little long for me but my toes are a little snug in anything smaller. I have neuropathy in my toes, so I like that size 8 is a little longer than I need and you can adjust the fit by tightening or loosening the laces from the heel along your foot to the toe box. I find a little bit of rub on the top of my foot from the tongue, but I think I can make an adjustment to make it comfortable. Very light and airy. Comfortable after walking around for the day. I liked the grey/purple/lilac so much that I bought the adventurine/purple too! I have had compliments on both and they look nice with jeans and shorts.

Stylish and comfortable, I had to exchange for a half size larger.

Well made shoes for water or dry land. Great for Spring and Summer activities. Nice ventilation for the foot also. : )

First big thank you for Zappo's super fast shipping, I got them in less than 24 hours since placed the order. These are my first pair of Merrell's and they felt like designed for my feet, little extra room around the toe area, tried with the thicker hiking sock and perfect. Walked around the house with these, went up and down the stairs and they felt so good like I've always had them. I'm so very happy with my purchase and can't wait to hit the trails with these amazing light weight hiking shoes.
