I like the neutral and earthy colors, but I would also like to see a return to more contrasting combinations, such as the "rust" version of intercept: I have gotten compliments on this shoe color combo. Otherwise, pretty nice shoe!

I leisure travel all over the world including places such as Ireland, Germany, Guatemala, Turkey, Greece, Hawaii, Italy - and incorporate lots of hiking and pounding the city streets with each trip. I am never without these shoes! Incredibly comfortable and sturdy in all sorts of terrain and handles the concrete jungle with aplomb. When a shoe fits this well I tend to stick with it - I ordered my fifth pair today. Kudos to Merrell for not wavering from the fit or design over the last few years in the name of "planned obsolescence". (That being said, it would be great if Merrell could bring back the original "smoke" color!) I enjoy these shoes so much I wear 'em every day, all the time. Even gotten several compliments on the styling- gotta like that! Great shoe!

Love these shoes...I really asked around ALOT before I purchased, got the half size larger to make sure it fit right. These are the first pair of shoes I've worn in years that I didn't need a 3rd party insole added! They are very very comfortable after the short break-in period. I work overseas a lot and I'm on pavement all day, the only thing is that the Vibram sole is wearing out smooth much quicker than I expected. I got them this spring and the heels of my shoes are smoothed out already...that is the only thing I was disapointed with...I expectede them to wear a bit longer before that would happen...other than that, I'll buy them again...got a pair for my brother and he loves them too!

This model just made my feet fall in love with it. By far the most comfortable shoes I ever owned and I'm not exaggerating. I am getting the Gortex model and as well, unfortunately they don't have a size 13 at the moment. I'm normally a US12 but with this one I am a US13.

These are the most comfortable shoes i've ever worn right out of the box, I didn't even notice a break-in period. The soles are super grippy and flexable, but they do wear fast. To reduce this, I try to stay off the pavement and only wear them on the trail.The arch support is great all the way across, something I haven't found in other shoes. The only gripe I can come up with is that the ankle area is cut pretty low which reduces support combined with the inward taper of the heel part of the sole, but I got used to it.

I have owened many Merrell Shoes through the years, from mocs to hikers. These intercepts are my favorite. Though I ment to order the gore-tex version, I don't regreat my mistake. These are the lightest and most comfortable yet! They do run a little small but I took the advise of others and bought a 1/2 size larger than normal. They fit perfectly! I were them hikeing,bikeing or just casual. there great! I highly recommend.

I have never in my life wore a better pair of shoes, I am on my feet every day and these seem to be the best by far in every way. My feet do not kill me every day when I get home, they don't sweat on me, and they look nice. I remember the first pair of Merrell's I bought, I went to the store the very next day and bought another pair. This shoe is by far the longest lasting most comfortable shoe I have ever put on my feet!

These are great shoes, verry comfortable and i would buy another pair any day but three weeks after i got them the front and sides of the right shoe tread started coming unglued, its been about 2 months and the right shoe is looking pretty bad and flappy, but the left one looks new.

I recently got a pair of these to use for light hiking, exercising, & to look better than regular sneakers when paired with jeans. They excel on all fronts, though I do wish I had read the other reviews stating to go up a half size from usual, as it wasn't that apparent until after I wore them out on a trail. I can still use them, but the toe box is a bit small & my big toe can touch the front on the inside when going downhill, so I'm wishing I had gotten a size 11 instead of a 10.5 for them.
