Comfortable and Attractive. Great for work. Only problem is the tie on top is adjustable and hence constantly comes undone and needs tied. With elastic you don't need the tie to be adjustable - should have just been decorative.

Extremely comfortable - nice look if a bit dowdy. Keeping them.

At first I thought these were not for me, but I just had a knee replacement and my heels were on hold for a few months. Imaging my surprise when I received compliment after compliment on them. They go well with dresses even if they don't give that pop that heels would give to an outfit. Now that I can wear heels again, these will turn into my traveling and walking shoes. Very comfortable.

I am so disgusted with ordering, trying on and buying shoes. I have gone to Nordstroms and tried on many pair trying to find (well made leather, consistent to size, good style shoes and come up empty handed. I am totally, furious with the poor quality of 99% of the womens shoes being made today. I bought this ARA shoe, at least it was consistent to size. The quality of the product sucks. I wore them all over San Francisco last month on a trip. They do not hold up. They are made by some designer to look good but the products are of the cheapest quality, patent isn't even real...everything is synthetic. So, while on the trip I called and ordered a pair of Stuart Weitzman to be delivered to my visiting address. They are at least better quality but cost twice as much? It is always a guessing game on what size one should get. I have a pair of Donald Pliner I bought 6 years ago...still look good all other shoes wear out in about a year...Sad. (I like lots of shoes but good ones.)

Classy looking shoe. I had initially ordered a 7, and it was too big so ordered a 6.5 and it was too small and tight so am sending it back. I think this shoe, if it fits, would look really great with slacks.

First of all, this is a good looking shoe. They look good with slacks and suits. I just got a brown pair. When I tried them on, the first thing I noticed is the arch suppport they have. The shoes look like they are well made. I ordered a 7.5, which is what I normally wear. They did fit and I probably could get away with wearing them without any problems. But, I would have liked a little more space in them because they had a snug fit and my concern is how they would feel after wearing them all day. I really wish they were available in wide widths. I've decided to order a size 8 and see how it feels. I'll do an update to this post once I've had a chance to do a comparison fit test.

This is a very good looking shoe, and it's wonderful that Ara offers it in a variety of colors (who knew Navy would be such a rare color?) Comfortable on my wide feet right out of the box as others have stated. I have two minor complaints 1) the bow/tie--for the price we/I paid for this shoe, I would expect the bow to either stay in place on it's own and/or already be secured by the manufacturer. My first day of wear, I had to tie them no fewer than 10 times--so today I glued that bow. I own another pair of Ara's and thought that they made and manufactured ALL their shoes in Germany, but noticed these were only designed in Germany, but made in Indonesia. That's my own fault, though.

Extremely comfortable, loved the detail, they look very dressy and great with a suit. Only reason returning is wasn't crazy about the psuedo wedge - if they had a defined heel, they would have been perfect for me. If this is not important to others, then definitely purchase, they are nice and comfy - professional shoes.

I am currently breaking them in at home with socks because they feel a little bit snug. I did not want to exchange them for a bigger size because I am afraid that they will give just enough to fit perfectly (I wear an 8½). I love the look of them (lava/nubuck)in a feminine men's style and cannot wait to wear them to work. They look like they will go with quite a few different colored slacks.

This was my first time buying this brand and I thought it was kind of expensive so I expected to return it but it is soooo comfortable. It is a pretty dressy looking shoe except for the rubber sole. Love them!

The shoe is pretty and comfortable. My only issue was that they squeak when I walked. For that price I have to be really happy, so I returned them..

I love the style of those shoes and they looked well made. However, for a size 10.5, I felt they were too narrow for me. I regret to have to send them back. I would love to have them in wide but they sadly do not combine the width.

Handsome shoe but about 1 1/2 sizes larger than the 7.5 marked inside the shoe. So, a quality control issue. I would have ordered a replacement but there didn't appear enough arch support or cushioning in the insole for my troublesome feet. This is a stunning shoe, though.

These are longer than they look in photos - probably an inch between the end of my toe and the inside end of the shoe. The design looked more over-the-top in person, too.

I was looking for a somewhat dressy shoe that wasn't a high heel. I'm pretty happy with these. They look nice with a pair of dress pants. The heel is what I would expect to see on a much more casual shoe but I'm ok with it. I ordered an 8 which is what I normally wear and it feels big with a very thin sock/hose. With a slightly thicker sock, they fit nicely. The sides of the shoe are high and hit my ankle bone. I do wear an insert in my shoes which takes care of that problem.

These shoes just seemed way bigger than the size I expected them to be. I also was a bit disappointed with how they looked.

I ordered M width and received "G" width - the shoe is too big and I feel bamboozled by getting something I did NOT order.

Don't order this Ara Rachel shoe if you have a high instep, as I do. It is far too tight, cuts across the instep. Usually I love all Ara shoes, but not this one.

I loved this shoe and had it in two colors. However, after a while I had a very difficult time keeping the bow tied. Any suggestions. I would like to order them again, but hesitate.
