This is a wonderful shoe! My first pair of Ara's and I couldn't be happier. I can wear these all day, with complements. They are dressy enough to wear with a professional outfit and cute enough to slip on with Capri's. And my feet never hurt. I love them!

I own these shoes in a light beige color and now added the black to my wardrobe. They are amazingly comfortable and great looking.

Holy moly! I have never worn a shoe quite this comfortable. I read the reviews and decided to give this shoe a try and I was not disappointed. It truly feels like you're wearing a slipper in terms of comfort. There is no "break in" time required. They are stylish and trendy looking and perfect with jeans or pants.

Love this show for business, casual and for art openings,etc where I do a lot of walking plus stairs, into and out of taxis. The shoe is super comfortable and attractive, the mix of learner both reptile print and sold smooth leather gives it a classy look. Wish there were boots with similar style.

I have been looking for a classy, but comfortable shoe like this for ages, and these are just what I wanted. Great fit and comfort, with enough coverage that I can wear a light sock which kicks up that comfort even more. They are wonderful shoes.

This is the second time I have purchased this shoe. In fact I also have them in brown. After 3 years they were out of shape because of my wider feet. But otherwise these shoes did not wear out. Extremely well made, very sharp look. Classy. I do have a wider foot, yet these are comfortable. Initially a little narrow, but they do stretch fairly quickly. Excellent look with a nice slack.

These are the most comfortable shoes I own. I have three pairs, two in black and one in brown. True to size; comfortable from the first wearing. I hope the style is continued.

These shoes are fabulous! They're incredibly comfortable and have a nice sole so I don't slip. I have very high arches and these shoes work great. One note: I have to wear trouser socks, not regular socks, for a proper fit.

Love these shoes! They were super comfortable right out of the box, true to size & not too casual, not too dressy. Perfect with pants.

MOST comfortable shoes I have EVER owned - wore them out of the box for a business trip to NYC and had NO discomfort. Took them on a 9-day business trip with a TON of walking. Couldn't wear either of the other shoes I brought along - wore these for NINE straight days with no discomfort - best shoes EVER!

I now own the Ara in all of the colors but brown. They are really classy and I often get compliments from men on them for some reason, maybe because they are a bit sporty? They are comfortable, give great support and take a lot of wear. I take two pair with me traveling so I can change off each day. The black and grey go with everything.

I loved these shoes out of the box but I think they run very narrow. I wear a 8.5 or 9 and thought I would be fine with a 9. The fit was short in length and very tight in width.

This shoe I purchased for blue dress pants or jeans and it has not disappointed. The comfort, color and style are excellent and true to description. I would not however, purchase 2 pair of this type shoe (different colors) because this is not a 2 pair type shoe. One is enough ugh. Try another style for variation. I did!

I recently had knee surgery and needed to downsize my heels, yet needed something that was stylish for work. I also travel and pound the pavement across the country. I tried these on and was shocked how comfortable they were and snugged my feet. So amazing I bought one of every color with absolutely no regrets. Perhaps one...can they make even more colors?

After reading so many reviews testifying to the comfort of these shoes - I ordered a pair. And they were correct. Right out of the box, these shoes are wonderful. I'm not a patent leather person, but these shoes are casually elegant. If you like the photo - you're going to LOVE the fit.

This was my first experience with shoes made by ara. I found the Rachel to be extremely comfortable, right from the start. Nice looking shoe, and a great choice for work when you need to be on your feet a lot.

I loved the look of this shoe from the minutes I saw it on your web site. I ordered navy blue and when it arrived I thought a mistake had taken place, the wrong color on the box as the shoe seemed to be black. Actually, after ordering another pair I realized that the only navy was the part of the top and sides, the rest of the shoe seemed to be black. So.... I ordered the black, oh no, my size was not available. Waiting with baited breath that my size in black comes back in. I love, love this shoe just was confused about the color. I love Zappos. JMS

Omigosh! This shoe felt like a soft glove right out of the box. I'm still wearing them around the house to be sure there is no sensitive spot, but they feel really good, and are very attractive for a comfortable pair of shoes. I need something extra under the ball of my feet and I have a somewhat narrow heel, and these fit in every way. I find them very nice looking. I can't believe I am spending $165 on a pair of shoes, but if they don't hurt my feet, it's worth it. If I can't find any other shoes in different colors, I may wind up owning 3 pair of these in different colors.

These are wonderful shoes. They are so comfortable that I could just put them on and go! I love this brand. It is always high quality, stylish, and comfortable!

I had two pairs of these shoes for a long time, and they were the most comfortable shoes that I have ever worn for work. Alas, they disappeared from stores just when mine had worn out. The uppers were still in great shape, but the soles were paper thin. This is after five years! I had just about given up finding them ever again, when I saw them on Zappos. Not only the black ones, but other colors as well. I chose three different colors, and they came quickly and in perfect condition. I am now a happy worker with happy feet.

These are in my top three pairs of shoes I own. They are comfortable right out of the box and require no break-in. They are cushioned but also supportive (not as supportive as Naots, but I have never had any foot pain or problems while wearing these or any other Ara shoes). I am ordering a new pair as my first pair is now about seven years old and is stretched out and I spilled something on them and the nubuck portion is badly stained. I am also ordering half a size smaller than my last pair as those always felt just slightly too long. Next to Naot Ara is my favorite brand for comfort. Like Naots they are not cheap but are well worth the money. I wore these shoes every other day to work for years and were my go-to shoes for the airport when traveling for work. This style has a slightly narrower front than other Naot styles, but they fit my problem feet fine.

This shoe is very comfortable out of the box. The style seems dowdy to me and looks good with pants only. Not as versatile as I'd hoped, but I'm keeping it due to the comfort.

This is a really nice looking shoe for travel and it looks comfortable but, my narrow foot with a narrow heel doesn't work. It is probably perfect for a true Medium size. I am able to wear the brands lace up shoes very well and love the comfort.

Very cute shoe. Had to return them because of my bad feet... not the shoe. Wish I could wear them and that they had them in Wide.

I wanted to like these, I really did. The leather is incredibly soft plus they are beautiful. Sadly, back they go. Too narrow AND the sole is, in reality, about 1/2 as thick as it appears in the picture. I need a thicker, more cushioned sole for my feet, legs, back AND Morton Neuroma. I kept the Alegria Essence & Alegria Taylor that arrived in the same shipment. Thanks, Zappos!
