I really loved the boots. Size was perfect, they were comfortable and were the exact color and style I wanted. I unfortunately can't keep them though because they can't be tailored. (I have shapely yet slim calves and and ankles, and knee length boots always have a large gap just below my knee, making them look baggy and ill-fitting. I have yet to find a knee length pair that actually fit out of the box). The seam on the boot is double stitched and can't be replicated when altered (I always have knee length boots altered so they don't look baggy on my calves). I went to two shoe repair/tailor shops yesterday (I really did not want to give up on my boots so I went for a second opinion ;), and although they said they "could" do it, they said they did not recommend tailoring this type of boot because the tailored portions will be very obvious with missing seam detail and bunching due to the double stitching. :( So, I am on the hunt again to find a riding boot but this time with simple stitching. If you don't have trouble with baggy knee high boots, I definitely recommend this boot!!

GREAT boot and a great value. I ride motorcycles and usually wear Harley Davidson boots. But those are pretty heavy and fairly warm, so a bit much for just riding around the city. These are perfect for local riding -- they look and feel great and are lightweight. I also love the soft lining -- much more comfortable than my all-leather Harley boots. And they would even look great with a skirt.

Love these boots!! Comfortable right out of the box! So happy I finally found the perfect black boot to wear with leggings and jeans. As for the fit, just as the reviews said, they felt slightly larger than expected but I like a roomy toe box that allows me to be able to wear a thicker sock.

True to size. No break in needed. Soft lining . This is a true black leather boot. Ordered one day, arrived the next! Best boot I’ve ever worn.

The fit of these boots is great in fact I have both colors and absolutely love them. I have a bad back and these boots are wonderful on my feet all day. I read the feed back on these boots and thought I would give them a try and am so happy I did.The leather is so soft and the inside is so comfy and warm. Best boots ever!

Overall these are very comfortable boots-I feel like I'm walking on air. I did have an issue with finding the right size. Every pair of shoes I own are a size 7.5, so I ordered the recommended size of a 38. Although they fit, my toes were right up against the front of the boot and this would have created problems over time. I decided to go up one size (39) and this solved the problem-they are not too big but give me enough room to move my toes or even wear a thicker sock if necessary. On a side note, when I called customer service to begin an exchange, the representative was very helpful, efficient, and a pleasure to talk to. And thanks to the VIP service, my new size arrived the next day! I will definitely be shopping with Zappos again!

Wide! Gorgeous boots that are great for wide feet! A very pleasant feature. I wear a 9.5-10 Wide, and was so glad that the reviews were correct. Very nice color, and love the buckle. The shaft has suck soft material inside, and seem very cozy and warm. The heel is low and very comfortable. The sole is rubber, which means the will have good grip! Just love them, and am keeping them.

Beautiful boots, very comfortable, stylish, nice color. it is lined so perfect to wear in late fall, all winter and early spring.

I normally wear a 9.5w and this boot is comfortable on me without socks. The leather is very soft and I like the contrast of the brown with black sole and zipper. There really isn't much arch support, but I still find them very comfortable with a soft inner lining. I'm keeping these!

Absolutely love the look & feel of these boots. The leather is high quality and super soft. The inner lining is warm and cozy. The outer buckle makes it easy to adjust the calf width to fit my calves perfectly even over jeans. Love, Love, love this boot!!!

extremely comfortable boot. the calf is slightly snug, but loosening the adjustable buckle at the top helps. i noticed the comfort immediately after putting them on, wore them almost 10 hours the first day with no issues.

From the moment I slipped my foot into the boot I knew it was perfect. Warm fuzzy lining and soft and super comfortable. I always wear a 9M and the size 40 fit perfectly. I wore them mall shopping for the first test, and my feet were super comfortable. No break in period needed. Because they are not waterproof I sprayed them with a leather protective spray and they came out fine. The zipper was all the way down the boot and smooth to zip. I liked the boots so much I ordered them in brown also. I don’t often find such comfort in shoes or boots.

Very comfortable. No breaking in required. I wish the shaft was a little higher but otherwise I love these new boots!

Absolutely loved these boots! Very comfortable and pretty color. Seemed well-made. They did not zip up ove my calf, so I had to return them. Wish there was a wide calf option.

Beautiful boots and nice quality. They do feel like they run big. Hard to say when the 38 is a 7-7.5 and I typically wear a 7 pretty true. I think the 37 would be a better choice than the 38.

I love these boots! I'm pretty picking when it comes to what I want in a boot, and after a somewhat lengthy search, these boots are exactly what I was looking for. The leather is beautiful and high quality, the style is kicka#$, and the fit is perfect. I wear a 7.5 shoe, and I got the 38 (7 to 7.5), and they fit perfectly. When I first put them on, I thought there was a little bit of slip in the heel, but after wearing them all day, it's not an issue. I think my feet just needed to get use to being in a new boot. I love that the calf and strap over the foot are both adjustable. Oh and I got the Schwarz color, which is a true black. I highly recommend this boot! Love Love Love them!

Leaving my second review because I've bought a 2nd pair- had my original pair for over 4 years, walked hundreds of miles and forced myself to replace them because they were looking ratty - but they were still comfortable! So pair #2 - soo nice and no difference in style/sizing as the first (although they are a little more snug as the leather isn't broken in). These are perfect for skinny jeans tucked in, skirts and regular jeans over the shaft. They aren't fussy and I walked 5-8 miles a day on vacation in winter with them for over 2 weeks straight - even on trails. They're simply perfect.

Love. Love. Love. I don't usually drop a lot of money on shoes so I was hesitant to order these, but I'm so glad I did. They look great, fit perfectly, the lining is super soft, they were comfortable all day from day one, and after six months of heavy wear (I'm in them at least four days a week) they still look pretty new.
