Marcelle - They are heavy on your feet, but the support is good and my feet are less tired at the end of the day. I am a teacher and I am on my feet all day. I have wide feet and they are not as wide as I could use them.

Beautiful and comfortable - I love these boots! These boots kept my feet warm and toasty in the cold snowy mountains without feeling bulky. They have a very nice quality and the brick red suede color looks classy without looking flashy.

Marcelle - My biggest complaint with Dansko in general is having to buy size 43 (12) in a closed shoe in order to fit my 10-1/2-11 feet. That makes them sloppy and even bigger looking than my feet already are. Marcelle is not "cute" on big feet. I haven't decided if I'll keep them. I switched to Dansko because Wolky came out with clunkier styles.

I stand on my feet for up to 14 hours a day and have problem feet because of that. Dansko shoes have always helped me; however, these shoes are torture to the top of my foot. I have even had them professionally stretched. OUCH! Never again.

They hurt my feet - They look great but they are tight around the wide part of my feet and hurt the bones. I want to love them but they hurt.

beauty and the beast - These puppies are really beautiful, but darnit, they are too narrow in the toe box. After wearing them for only 4 hours (mostly sitting) I couldn't wait to take them off. I do have wider feet. I am so bumbed they don't fit (any size), they are so nice looking.

I am ALWAYS a size 37 in Dansko I own 9 pairs but this shoe let me down. I have tried 6 pairs of size 37 and all 6 pairs were too small and narrow. I am so sad they are so cute.

All I wanted for christmas - All I wanted for Christmas is Dank Marcella but Dank seems to have a big problem with rough edges and rough stitching I had to return 2 pairs because of that I am very disappointed. No Christmas gifts for me.

I love Danskos but was disappointed with the quality of this shoe. The plastic piece in the heel of the shoe was not smooth and I couldn't keep it because of how much it hurt when it rubbed on my foot! Also, the inside of the buckle part of the strap was very uncomfortable and rubbed. Maybe it was just a bad pair because Danskos are usually high quality. I might even order again just to make sure because I think they are really cute!

Marcelle - Really wanted to like this shoe. I liked its looks. However, it just doesn't fit well. It is very wide (good if you have a very wide foot) and especially wide in the toes. I normally wear a Dansko 42, but this one is large (I tried the 41 but it was not long enough). Even with the strap in the tightest hole, I can barely keep it on my foot. Sorry.

A couple of years ago, I bought some Dansko Mary Janes from Nordsroms. I really like them and they are really comfortable. That is why I went with Dansko again. They are too big for me now and the elastic on the strap has worn out. Other than that, they are in good shape...

Dansko Marcelle - I had expected the Dansko shoes to be very comfortable...my feet still hurt when I'm at work wearing them, and I'm on them for about 1 to 1 1/2 hours at a time with a 20 minute break- and they still hurt. I think they are very overpriced for such an average shoe...

I have owned many pairs of Danskos in the past and this is by far the worst. I wore them one evening and still have blisters healing weeks later. I love a good Dansko, but this is not one. It seriously feels like it is an 8 narrow rather than a 9. I even took them to a local cobbler to have them stretched and they are still narrow. I have wide feet, but not that wide.

I love Dansko shoes, but these didn't quite fit right. The strap is the only part that holds the shoe to your foot and it was not as comfortable to walk in as my Dansko Sport clogs or Professionals. They are very cute…

Wish I had been warned... If you have any ankle problems or high arches, please do not bother with these shoes. I can't believe that a shoe my physical therapist recommended to me now makes my feet ache. And unfortunately, they are so expensive that the risk just isn't worth it. I don't know about the other versions of Danskos, but these are NOT comfortable.

Heavy and Uncomfortable - I bought these shoes for nursing school because they looked cute and the reviews were good. But after a week of wearing them, I couldn't stand them anymore. The edges of the leather rub on the top of my feet, the insole is hard and ungiving, the bottom of the shoe is also hard and not shock-absorbing, and the rocker feature doesn't work quite right. They are also very heavy, and not as pretty in person as they are on the computer screen. The bottom has taken on a yellowish tinge, and they're hard to keep clean. Terrible shoes!!

Wore these shoes for about a month before I noticed a squeak, everywhere I walked, but worse on smooth surfaces. This problem is apparently widespread; just type "dansko squeaky shoes" into any search engine and you'll find innumerable similar stories. Shockingly, I called the manufacturer, who initially denied ever hearing of this problem. They also recommended that I return it to Zappos, even though it is not Zappos' fault! Or I could send the shoes to them at my expense and they would send the shoes through an "inspection process" before deciding if they may replace the shoes. What a hassle! Extremely poor customer service. Go with another brand. Sanita makes a similar shoe!

Terrible shoe! I am amazed that so many found this shoe to be comfortable and true to size. My experience is that the shoe is huge in length as well as width. It is a very wide shoe with a toe box that my feet just swam in. No arch support whatsoever. The strap is entirely too low on the arch to do any good as far as keeping your foot in the shoe. This shoe is going back and I won't bother to try for another size. Beware if you have a normal-sized foot. May be good for girls with chunky feet.

I have been wearing Dansko shoes for years, I bought a pair of Claret patent Marcells and had not worn them but they felt good on my feet at the Ottawa Ontario and when I got to Chicago as I was walking down the buckle came off completely and I fell down two steps, nothing major happened then. I called and spoke to a supervisor who very kindly offered to replace them as a one time courtesy. The new pair arrived and that is when the hell stared. I wore them inside and they felt good. In the parking lot I slipped off the shoe because the heel cup was to big and nearly killed myself, pulled a muscle in the back of my knee and the thigh and I am now on pain medications for the inflammation. I had to go to my doctor a couple weeks ago and I am still not able to wallk without my crutches! The people at Zappos have trid to be helpful, all the people there were sympathetic to my ordeal, some more then others.

You’ll break your ankle in these shoes! These shoes look cute and the good arch support makes them comfortable to stand on. However, they are very uncomfortable for walking due to the inflexible sole, the raised heel, and sloped instep which makes your foot slide forward in the shoe bruising your toes against the hard front part. The wide and unpadded heel cup chafes a lot! These shoes constantly turn my ankles due to the narrowing of the heel at the sole of the shoe. They slip on and off and are non-slip and very durable, so I still use them for gardening. Don't waste your money! The newer models sound like they have improved though.

Disappointing - I LOVE Dansko. But these were so disappointing! The plastic piece on the heel dug into the sides of my heel leaving indentions on my skin. I have many styles of Dansko including the Professional and this has never happened. I adore the look of this shoe but can't weather the pain.

Not Impressed - These look very cheap, especially considering they're a bit pricy! Based on reviews, I ordered both a 37 & 38 (I'm usually a US 6.5-7). Both sizes were too big, & 36's are not in stock. Thank goodness for free returns!

I give up - I own 12 pairs of Dansko’s and all are size 37 these are awful they DONT FIT RIGHT AT ALL. I tried 7 pairs of 37s all too small and 1 pair of size 38s are too big; save your time and frustration DONT BOTHER!!!
