Lovely - Order one size up--they run small. Also, they look really cool without socks but the stitching and the hinge for the strap do dig in. I bought them to show off funky socks, and they are really comfy! Overall, I’m really satisfied.

So sad to say but I'm going to have to return these. I love Dankso but they have a problem of inconsistency when it comes to size 12. Technically I'm an 11 1/2 but I usually have to size up to 12 so I was disappointed to find that my toes bumped against the front of the shoe a bit. The same problem occurred with the Dansko Jade, however my (now discontinued) pair of Floras were PERFECT! Otherwise I would recommend the Marcelle. The cordovan cabrio color, style and arch support are great. I would just say that women in the 11 to 12 range should be a bit wary.

Relief for my feet - I was recommended these shoes by three different people, and I absolutely love them. Very comfortable, and stylish. I get a lot of compliments.

Good comfortable shoe - This is a nice shoe. Seems to have all the comfort of the Dansko Cabrio. The only thing that didn't work for me is because they don't have half sizes my left foot that is slightly smaller kept coming out of that shoe. Even when I tightened the strap it was very uncomfortable for me.

Heel fit - I own other Danskos and love them all. This one is stylish, but it surprised me how wide the heel area was. It was so wide that it really felt like a clog style. The design must be intentional to mimic the Dansko clog style. I own some Dansko dressier heel style shoes and they fit around the back of my feet like regular dress shoes.

Dansko Marcele - Very nice shoe. I am able to wear them to work and out with some jeans. Alot lighter then they look in the picture. The fit of the Dansko clog takes a little getting used to. I wear them with the sockettes to keep my feet cool. Great for long days at work.

Adorable - I love these shoes, though I did need a size larger than I usually wear. The Mary Jane strap is very cute and you do not need to buckle and unbuckle to slip them on to wear.

Too wide for street wear - Have narrow feet with a high arch, as these shoes have stretched they are too wide to wear on the street as I turn my ankle several times a day! I have the strap as tight as it will go. That said, so far they are working out for my restaurant job where I am on my feet for 7 hours, I think I will just try wearing them at work, they have greatly helped my lower back pain and sore legs/ feet while working.

Cute support but could use a softer footbed - Always worked at a desk, but now in retail, so I've been wearing my new Danskos every day for 3 weeks...I would have given them 5 stars, but would prefer a soft footbed because at the end of the day, my feet are a little sore. But keep in mind I'm over 50, and overweight too; that has to affect my feet! I love the fact that they have never rubbed my heels or caused any other discomfort; so order up, and use an insole if you want the softer footbed.

Professional Appearance - I got these shoes for work and school. They have a very professional look to them and are very comfortable to wear. They really feel like you have nothing on your feet! They work with jeans, pants, and skirts. These shoes run a little large I would suggest a half size down from what you usually wear.

Pretty cool but a little clunky - These are very cute shoes but take a little getting used to. I have narrow feet and wear a size 8.5 and the 39 fit but was very loose. If it wasn't for the strap the shoe would slide off completely though the size 38 was too small. Also, the seams on the side sometimes rub and is a bit uncomfortable but I'm hoping that will go away with more wear.

Great Work Shoes! These shoes are overall pretty comfortable. I needed non-slip shoes for work and these are really cute with pants or a skirt. I own a pair of traditional clogs from Dansko and they fit perfectly from the first time I wore them. These have some break in time and now that they are loosening up my toes hit the end of the shoes. I would suggest going up half a size in this model.

Very Good Walking Shoe - I bought these shoes from Zappo's in Size 40 (for a size 10 foot), but they were too small. I went to a local comfort shoe store and bought the same shoe in a 41. So, I had to get the equivalent of a size 11, when my foot is a 9.5. I would have purchased the larger size from Zappo's, but I was leaving the next day (next time, I promise). I wore them in NYC for a full day (crossed the Brooklyn Bridge and everything) to come home to one blister on the right heel where it rubbed and blisters under my toes where my socks bunched up. Now the sock thing was probably just my socks and not the shoe, but the heel was all shoe. Disappointed, I could not wear them for the rest of the trip until it healed. However, for one day I did wear them, my feet did not hurt at all from walking (just the blisters). These shoes are hand-made and every pair is different, so I may have had just an off pair. You may want to try on several pairs of the same size. I bought the black Cabrio, but absolutely LOVE the red!

Dansko Marcelle - This is my third Dansko and they are very comfortable. I wish I could wear the Dansko with heels but the height hurts the balls of my feet: with these shoes, they don't hurt at all. I have had to tighten the straps because they felt loose pretty quickly.

Professional vs. Marcelle regarding size. I wear a 41 in the Professional style, but the 41 in this is style is too big. I tried a 40 but the 40 was too small. This style is definitely cuter than the professional so I too think "exactly" like the anonymous reviewer on 12-13-2005. There is a difference in sizing on these when compared to the Professional.

Dansko's Marcelle shoe is wonderful! I love this shoe. It feels and fits just like my other Dansko clogs. However, the inside portion of the clasp does rub a little. I've worn them about 5 times and it seems to be getting slightly better. This shoe goes well with dress pants and skirts.

FALLING OVER... GREAT JOB ZAPPOS! As usual the service was quick and easy. This is my first pair of Danskos. I'm a size 9, I got a size 9. My heel slides up & down, my toes can move, BUT the side of my foot near my big toe is bothering me. Also, I keep tipping over in these. They are cute and semi-comfortable in my 2nd week.

Nice**** I bought these shoes a) I am recovering from a nasty broken foot and I needed something with a lot of support b) I needed something I could where with business casual attire and not look to orthepedic or casual. They totally fit the bill! I walk 10 blocks a day in them to and from work and they are totally supportive and comfy. The only thing is when I first got them, where the strap buckle hooks to the shoe rubbed pretty bad - I had to where socks with them (full socks not peds) but two weeks later I have recovered and can wear them without socks or with peds. Overall I love them except for the temporary rubbing! They also look cute on the weekends with jeans too!

It seems like all Danskos except the clog have one design flaw. This shoe's design flaw is that the metal hardware that fastens the strap, and the inner seam can both rub your foot a little raw after more than an hour of walking. THis is not an issue if you are not walking much. That said, this is still more comfortable than all of the other dress shoes I own. The arch support is excellent, and the toe allows a natural spread. I am normally a 7.5Wide or 8Wide, and Danskos 39 fit me well.

Great all around shoe - If this is your first Dansko then be sure to order a size up. I was worried that they may be to dressy but they look great with jeans and skirts. I work out side a lot and I still like to wear them.

Dansko Marcelle is beautiful! I really like the look of Dansko's Marcelle.It's definitely the best-looking nurses shoe I've ever owned. It needs time to break in,being pretty uncomfortable at first, but they are gradually becoming very comfortable. The heel is the best--impossible to get a blister! I get lots of compliments.

These are the most pricey shoes I have ever bought, justified by a recent foot fracture and being on my feet all day as a teacher. It also helps that they have the Orthopedic seal and a good amount of heel for foot support and boost in height. I will agree with others that they are not comfortable initially and truly can only be worn for only a few hours (2-4) before you start feeling the pain (better if worn with tights or thin socks, not bare). And they do squeak at first and now and again after wear. And if they are not secured tightly on your feet, it can be unsafe because of the height and the width (they are wide, which I think is good for feet in general), which can make you lose your balance, defeating the reason for buying them and the orthopedic seal. So my review would be mixed. Bad price - should have a truly rubber sole (like running shoes!!!) to be truly orthopedic. But I do get lots of compliments on these, but they can also look like "baby shoes," too. So try it if you have issues that will lead you to rationalize the price, and can live with the squeaks and pains alike, because in the end they are very well crafted and can be worn for years on end.

Strap attachment faulty - I have been wearing Danskos for work for about 8 years, and I love the Mary Jane styles, but if you do a lot of kneeling down (I work retail and am stocking shelves frequently) the brad holding the strap on these is not sufficient. I have had two pairs where the strap broke on them (the first pair I returned, I am now going to try to have my local shoe repair guy fix the current pair). I love the comfort of these, and would love the look if the strap connection system were more durable.

Dansko Disappointment - I love the looks of this shoe both off and on my foot, but I cannot wear it due to the location and stiffness of the seam. I have tried both the size 39 which I usually wear and the 40. The 39 was considerably shorter than all my other Dansko 39s. I will be returning both pair, reluctantly because I love the look, but I just cannot wear them.
