Great shoe but awkward plastic piece - maybe due to sizing - I fell in love with the color and style of this shoe. I slipped it on and the arch support and total overall support was wonderful. It really does "rock" forward as you walk - making your whole leg, back, and foot feel supported. I definitely recommend it for those attributes. On the flip side, I normally wear a 39 in a Dansko. My other Dansko clogs are 39s and they are snug to perfect - I wear them with thin socks, or more often with heavy tights to look cute with skirts. This particular clog was too big (at a 39) even with regular (not thin) socks. The reason it only gets four stars overall is because the plastic piece in the back of the shoe (in the shape of the heel) stuck out from the leather on both shoes and rubbed my foot - and it is very hard plastic. I checked and my other clogs have this piece, but it is snug against the leather on them. I think it would not have rubbed my foot if the shoe had fit a little truer to size (the plastic would have been where the foot slims in so it wouldn't have rubbed it…maybe). I don't think another size down would have fit though - toes would bump…maybe more of a heel width issue. The plastic thing really bugged me, especially in such an expensive shoe, but the rest of the feel of the shoe (the support off the floor) and the look of it made me very sad to return it.

Love it!!!! I love these shoes. They are the only shoes I can wear on an 8 hour shift, my feet are never sore but...The only complaint I find is the strap. I got 2 shoes in 2 years and I had to return them because of that...too bad they don’t make them in black patent.

Shoes pretty good – This shoe is comfortable on my legs and knees but is a little stiff and hard to break in. I would probably send back if I could but have worn. I have bunions and maybe this is why I'm having trouble with the break in. I do get a lot of compliments on their looks.

Love my Dansko Marcelle’s - I love the Dansko Marcelle’s I bought recently. I have the brown ones, with black trim. They're adorable with the Maryjane style strap and contrast stitching. As with all Dansko’s I've ever tried, the comfort is unequalled! I typically wear a size 7.5, but have found that with Dansko clogs I have to order a size down (37). I still have plenty of room and a little space for the up-and-down-heel movement. When I have tried 38's in the past, there's too much space. The high quality, incredible comfort, and superior Zappos customer service made this a simple, easy, and rewarding purchase.

Hurts in a strange place - I really like this shoe. I can wear it with or without socks, with pants or skirts. It's comfortable for the most part, but the top of my foot hurts after a while. I don't know if it's because of the style of the shoe or the way I walk in them. I find this kind of pain with Danskos in general so I'm not sure what's going on there. Unfortunately, I like the Dansko style and initial comfort and often discover foot pain only after a couple hours of wear.

Supportive and fun - a sensible shoe that doesn't scream it. This is my first pair of Danskos & I got them because they carry a podiatric endorsement (I have plantar fasciitis). I wear them every other day because the insides are a little hard on my sensitive feet. I have wide feet & these were just wide enough with a little breaking in.

Dansko Marcelle - I keep getting complements on this shoe! It is really great looking. It has a higher sole than I expected but I like that. Some people might not. The one drawback to the shoe is as follows for me: I have a high instep and the top of the shoe including the strap are hard and have been hitting my instep hard enough to cause a slight bruising on the top of my foot. I expect that the shoe leather will soften over time and they will get more comfortable. Too bad they don't come in the equivalent of American half-sizes. Then maybe this wouldn’t happen to me. However I like the shoes looks so much I wouldn't return them.

Comfort, comfort, comfort... These shoes are extremely comfortable! I walked miles and miles through NYC with them right out of the box. Well let's say the 5th box -- Thanks Zappos! I wear a 10w shoe. I needed to order the 42 (which they say is a 12 -- ha). That was just to fit the length of my foot the 41 was too short. But the 42 was just right. They are wide, so the width was perfect. Most Danskos don't fit my foot because they run pretty true to width. Love the shoe!!!!

Cute, but not quite perfect... I got these shoes in Brown Latigo and they actually have a slight reddish-purplish hue to them (which to me came as a pleasant surprise, but if you are expecting a truly brown color--be forewarned!) I really like this shoe overall, but I am a little disappointed when I try to wear them without socks. The places where the two major pieces of leather are stitched together rub my foot too much to consider them all-day sockless shoes. I was not expecting my foot to be irritated in this way, because I have a narrowish/medium-width foot. With that said, I still do highly recommend them. Although they may not be quite as comfortable as Dansko professionals for all day wear, they are still cute, comfortable shoe! P.S. I am almost always a US size 7.5 and size 38 Danskos fit perfectly.

Pick me up! Great winter pick me up. The Cordovan color was something I was looking for in a shoe and I was tempted to buy Danskos after buying some Dansko sandals a year ago. The sandals I had gotten were a 36, but I found with this style I needed the 37 since the 36 just didn't have enough toe room to be comfortable. The 37 sandals I'd ordered a 37 first and had to go down to the 36 since they were too wide. So it might take a couple tries to get the right size depending on the style, but once you do they're very comfortable.

Cute, but small... These are pretty good shoes, but I had to reorder the next size up. They are not soft shoes...if that is what you are looking for. I would try another brand, but they do have support.

A bit smaller than other Dansko clogs - I am so sad to have to return these, but I couldn't find the right pair. I consistently wear a 38 in Danskos, but often have to try several pairs to find a comfortable one, since my feet are at the large end of the 38 spectrum (my feet are a bit shorter and wider than an average 8). Although I found a few pairs that were comfortable for my left foot, I couldn't a comfortable right shoe, despite trying three different pairs. Boo.

I love Dansko and especially the style of this shoe. I have gotten many compliments already.

Hope I'm not too old to wear this shoe, but ... I LOVE Dansko shoes. 'Have arthritis in my feet and have trouble finding shoes that don't kill me. Danskos do the trick!! I like to wear these with slacks -- better than with skirts. They're kinda clunky looking. But, I think I'll get lots of enjoyment out of them. 'Bought them in both red & cordovan.

Kinda cute, kinda comfy - I like these shoes quite a bit, but I haven't found them to be the most comfortable thing in the world, as many of my friends and coworkers have. (Which is primarily why I bought them, as I stand all day at work) I do love the extra 2 inches though!

Very cute but... I love the style of these shoes but found that the inside stitching in the toe box rubbed on my foot. I returned these shoes since I saw possible blisters in my future. Too bad because the styling is very nice.

Too big - Other Dansko styles have been a truer fit. This style is big.

Flight attendant review - These took a little longer to get used to than the original clogs. The top of my toes hurt the first few times I wore them, then once they were "broken in," they were much better. Loved the style of them!

Great for Work - I am a nurse and wear this shoe for work. I get many compliments on them. They provide great support. I am not sure however if these would be the comfort shoes I would choose to wear if I were going to be walking great distances. I ordered the Euro size which was recommended by Zappos (according to my US shoe size) and it was too small for me.

I like the shoes a lot, but the staples hurt when you don't wear socks.

Great alternative to the clog - I bought these as I needed a professional shoe that would also hold up well to a lot of walking (I live in a city and use public transportation too/from work). They are a fabulous alternative to the traditional Dansko clog with one hitch-- the place where the top opens sit right across the widest place on my foot. It looks great but the top of my foot took some wear during the first couple of weeks. I swear by my clogs but they look heavy with skirts so I picked these up as a good alternative. I love the way they fit otherwise -- heel is comfy and slides slightly like it should, sole is the same fit as the traditional clogs.

Good shoes - I have the Courtney Mary Jane type shoes from Dansko and love them. I have neuroma which is a condition that effects the balls and toes of my feet - ouch!! The Courtney's, which I have repeatedly purchased, are the only shoes I can wear for over 3 hours that don't hurt my poor feet. Sooo, being rather tired of the same look, I decided to give Marcelle a try. They are very comfortable, but the sole is just a little bit too hard for all day wear with comfort for me.

Super cute and very comfy--from a teacher! I got these shoes because I was looking for something that would look a little sweeter than the Professional clogs with skirts. I had loved the fit and support of the clogs, so I figured this would do it. I love the look, but for some reason these felt a tiny bit narrower than the clogs. I do have very wide feet, but I never had any problems with the Professionals, even though I ordered the same size for the Marcelle’s. Other than some initial pinching, which went away (maybe after the leather stretched a little?), these are very comfortable even though I'm on my feet 8 hours a day. I even wear them to walk the mile back and forth between work to the train station.

Much bigger than I expected - I own both a pair of Dansko Margrete’s (somewhat similar style, but with no back) and the standard Professional Clogs. I am usually a size 6, and when I bought the Professionals the reviews said to go a size up, which I did. I have them in a 37 (they have stretched and are a tad big, however the 36 were far too snug). However, the Margrete’s run true-to-size and I wear a 36 in them. Heeding the reviews, I got these Marcelle’s in the 37, thinking they'd fit the same as the Professionals because of the same type of toe box and heel. Wrong! They are much larger on me than the Professionals. I have a large gap in the back and on both sides of the heel, almost as if the heel cup were far too wide. I'm going to return them and order the 36s, but I'm surprised at how differently they fit me than the Professionals!

I really like this shoe - However, the stitching and extra leather from the edging detail on the inside gave me awful blisters in a very weird place. I will try them again when my blisters heal. I am unsure why there is such a chunk of leather and stitching on the inside of the shoe...I wish the manufacturer would trim this out. I also have very high arches and the arch support doesn't help much.
