Although the boots seem well made and a half-size up fit fine, I am returning them. The description of the boot height mentioned that it ended just before calf, but I found it too high and 11 inches is taller than Bean hunting boots, which go mid-calf on me. These bunched up on the calf muscle (the sides folded inward) and were uncomfortable just walking a few steps. If you have thin calves or are taller than 5'6", these boots are probably fine.

I'm a 6.5 so I bought the 7. I like that it is snug, but it is SO snug that I can't tuck anything in and with thin socks it isn't very comfortable. I don't have wide feet, but these feel narrow. They are very nice looking though and I like the soles. I'm leaning towards returning them though, so that I can wear warm socks. The 3 overall score is because I believe that rain-boot sizing needs to allow room for socks and tucking!

Overall the shoes is okay. For me it is too tight are my leg. Ladies, if you have thick leg this is not the boot for you.

I purchased the Kamik boots in orange color for my 19 yr. old daughter in college. They were sent directly to her school. Luckily they fit her perfectly and she LOVES them. I cannot speak to the fit of the boot, but I can see they are well made compared to some of the other cheap rain boots I looked at. Beware of discoloration with this boot. The actual boot is clear! It is the inner liner that has the color or pattern. In our case, whenever she wears dark colored socks, the dye from the socks rubs off into the liner of the boot. It looks like the boot has dark scuffing all around the bottom, but it is the sock dye that has bled through the orange liner. She has had them for just a month so I don’t know how bad they will look over time. If you are purchasing this boot, wear socks that match the color of your boot to avoid the nasty discoloration.

For reference, I am a 5.5 in Nike running sneakers and Sam Edelman heels and I buy boots in a size 6 so I can 1) wear thicker socks and 2) add a shoe insert for arch support. But these fit my narrow 5.5 foot without socks. They were also so painfully uncomfortable. They bit into both my ankles horribly. I had them on for less than 2 minutes to try them on and take a few steps. My right ankle is worse off, it's already deep red and probably bruised (I bruise easily). I have no idea if it needs breaking in, but other rain boots I've worn haven't been this stiff or painful. I will say if you have narrow ankles, calves, or feet, this definitely isn't the shoe for you.

Size wise is Ok however after First time wearing them I cam back and my socks were wet - not doing rainy boots' job, sorry , had to return

Love these but they don’t hold up well. After one year of light wear, they are leaking. This is my second pair.

Cute plain boot, unfortunately the skinny calf was an issue for me, and I have what I consider to be average sized calves. Would have to really work at getting even skinny jeans inside the boot. Too bad, it is on the way back to zappos.

Boots are beautiful but are difficult to put on -- very tight. Also too tight at top of boot. They would not be comfortable for walking any distance.

I wear size 7.5. It was recommended I size down to 7 for these boots, and they were way too small. I exchanged for an 8, and though the foot was OK (still tighter than I wanted), the calf was very narrow. I have big calves, but still, these were super-narrow. I gave up.

Color very nice. Good height on leg. I like the lack of buckles etc. because it is easy to clean. But it looks more comfortable than it is. It feels small for its size. The plastic is particularly stiff and I think it will bruise my legs if I walk in them for very long. I'm returning them.

I love how these looked, but when I got them they were clunky and hard to walk in. Didn't break in well and got blisters on my ankles from the boots rubbing against them. Hard to wear when walking or on your feet all day.

They look beautiful but the calf is so narrow that I could not even put them on. That is a shame, they look so great! They will only fit people with thin, undeveloped calves.

I love them and wish I could keep them, but they are super narrow in the calf! The color is beautiful, and they are really comfortable in the shoe portion. Unfortunately, I have sent them back since they are too narrow in the calf.

Super pretty in red. Unfortunately, the other reviewers were right. The fit was very strange; the foot was too wide, enough to be clunky, but the calf was too tight, enough to chafe my legs. No way could I fit a pair of jeans in there. So disappointed!

I really wish I hadn't convinced myself that these fit before wearing them out in the rain. They are by far the most horribly uncomfortable boots I've ever bought. The part of the shoe that rests on the top of my foot is ridiculously tight. It felt wide enough at the toes, but walking in these for even 5 minutes makes me want to rip them off. Walking around my house for a minute or two, they felt okay, but then I took them into the rain and regretted everything. I still wear them because I don't have any others and haven't purchased new ones yet, but either size up by a full size or skip these entirely--especially if you have larger feet (I'm a standard size 10). They're awful and not worth it for how uncomfortable they are.

The boots are beautiful and the shoe part is very comfortable. I'm just very disappointed that the calf is too snug. I really wish they would include the width of the calf in the product descriptions.

The reason I am giving this shoe a rating of 2 is because the pink color I chose actually looks like neon orange. The color looks nothing like the image on the website and the pink name is very deceiving. I have a red pair of these exact same rainboots and I love the color and fit.

I got these and automatically loved the dark teal color. The size in the foot was spot on; however, they were way too snug in the calf and I had to return them.

When I received this item, I noticed a hole in the inside lining. It was hard to see because it was in the back. I sent it back, and received a credit on my Zappos account. I would have preferred to get my actual money back, but I didn't. Just inspect your product before wearing them!

They don't hurt because the calves are too tight, they hurt because the boot digs into the back of your calf every time you take a step. I am heartbroken; they are going back. I hope that the taller boots are wearable. As long as you don't actually need to walk anywhere, these are super comfortable and cute.

I wear a size 6 and I could not get my foot inside the boot. The opening was too small for my foot to maneuver in. I bought another boot instead.

fit a little big - terrible color and WHERE IS MY REFUND?!?

I wear 9 in another Kamik rainboot, and found this style to be WAY too short and tight across the top of my foot. Will be returning today. Boot seemed much more difficult to maneuver into than my other Kamik pair. I also have extremely narrow feet but this size 9 felt more like an 8-8.5.

I bought a pair of these maybe 2 years ago and absolutely loved them. Wore so much they got worn down so got new pair. I ordered exact same size, style and color but for some reason couldn’t get them on my wide feet and calves, even with nylons on. Not sure if sizes tweaked, or if rubber stretches over time (?) but very disappointed and had to return them. I went with Hunters which are just as cute but definitely fit better.
