I love these boots! 8 1/2 was snug. I Was afraid 9 would be too big but didn't want my feet to hurt. Finally decided to keep the 9. Very glad I did. They are so comfortable. I was able to walk a long distance the first time I wore them with total comfort! Lots of compliments. Look great over jeans, under flared jeans (without seeing line at top of boot) and adorable w/skirts. I thought I would be self conscious wearing cowgirl boots but instead I just loved them and myself for being brave enough to wear them. Just so fun. Been wanting these since I was a little girl and now half a century old and so happy to fulfill my childhood fantasy. I hope you don't wait so long! Get them and enjoy them!

I reordered the boots but ordered a whole size larger (9.5) than I normally take (I ordered the 8.5 and couldn't get my foot in it). The larger size fits and I love them! Thank you to the previous reviewer who wrote that she ordered a whole size larger.

Let me preface this review by saying this is my 3rd pair of Frye boots in the past year - I am a Frye loyalist for sure. These boots are fantastic. Good quality leather, beautiful stitching and just a great pair of boots. They are a little bit of a tougher fit than most Frye boots. I wear an 8 in the Celia X, the Wyatt short, and the Carson pull one but needed an 8.5 in these just for comfort sake in the toe box. I highly recommend that you order two sizes just for size comparison to make sure you get the best fit. Enjoy!

Just got these--they are gorgeous and I love the color. Unfortunately, I couldn't fully appreciate them as I couldn't even pull them on my 6.5 foot.

Most comfy boots ever! I have these in the light tan. They are absolutely some of the most comfortable shoes I own. Did not require much break-in at all. That said, the sizing is a little different from my other Frye boots. I wear a 9 1/2 in most shoes. Size 9 in other Fryes. I had to get a 10 in these boots. My suggestion is to just order a couple of different sizes and send back the ones that don't fit. With the free shipping you really don't have anything to lose. Would recommend these boots without hesitation.

Love these boots! I got the old town style with the wool detail and they are amazing. I got my regular size and they are a smidge big but definitely better than being too tight. Frye boots are just the best boots!

I love these boots! I just put them on and was good to go. They fit perfectly, no break in period. The look is great (I got the black stone wash) and the quality of Frye boots is amazing. They will last forever.

The best boot on the market. An excellent cowboy boot for ladies that care about subtle style and high quality. I love the unique embroidery. It's geometric, rather than the overtly feminine motifs you see on most boots. You definitely need to take time to break them in, and they are pretty tough to get off. Well worth it, though.

I wear a size 6½ and I have very high arches. The boot was difficult to get on the first time but after wearing them three times they conformed to my foot. I have to give them a breaking in period if I go too long without wearing them. I love these boots! They are truly the most versatile, comfortable, and durable boot that I own. I worried about getting my money worth when we first bought them and now I can't imagine being without them. They are perfect!

These wonderful boots, look awesome. I received numerous compliments how great they look. You can dress them up or down. Will never go out of style. I will be ordering another pair. These boots are my first pair of cowboy boots. I wear an 8 1/2 & the first time I pulled them on, well...it was much more of a tugged, coaxed, pried them on. Once they were on, the size felt perfect. Just an initial breaking in period as they have been easier to pull on each consecutive wear. Great boots, so pleased. I look forward to many years with my first Frye boots.

Fit is a little big, I suggest ordering a half size down. Color is great. Tons of compliments on these adorable boots.

I love these boots! They look great and are very comfortable, even from the very beginning, unlike the Frye boots I had when I was younger.

These are so much more comfortable than most pointed toe cowboy style boots that I've tried on. These are my first true cowboy boots. I have the Frye Carson pull-ons, which I love, but they have a much more rounded toe. The Billy’s are actually more cushioned and comfortable, despite the pointed toe. The weathered looking leather is lovely. I got the amethyst, to work with a lot of the colors I wear. It's a wonderful neutral for me. It was true to size on me, even though I had ordered both my regular size and one size up to cover all possibilities. It's my regular shoe size that I kept. All around, a great boot, my third Frye, and I am hooked!

I am a cowboy boot collector and I have been searching for a pair like these for a while! To me these are the perfect boot. What a beautiful color, great shape and structure, and just an all around good lookin' pair of cowboy boots. I wear a 9.5 and they are very true to size. These are a must have! Make sure you wear tall socks with them because the do rub at the top.

My daughter received them for a Christmas present.I noticed the box did not have the proper packing, because the boots moved back and forth in the box. I did not open the box and wrapped them to put under the tree. When she opened them she noticed the boots had scuff marks on the bottom of the shoes and the packing in the boots were missing. She loved them and did not want to send them back. If they were not a Christmas gift I would have encouraged her to have them replaced. But, she does love the boots and finds them very comfortable.

These boots are gorgeous! I own several pair of Frye boots and these are among my favorites. They're just the right neutral color for many outfits. I gets lots of compliments when I wear them. They look great with dresses as well as jeans.

Boots run true to size. They needed no break in. Instantly comfortable. Walked 6 miles in them on 3rd wearing.

Comfortable right out of the box - Not only are these boots beautiful and well made, they are very "wearable." My left foot has been broken twice and has arthritis so comfort is a big issue for me (the most comfortable shoes for me are obviously running shoes with orthotics, followed by Danskos), but I was able to wear these right away without any "break-in" period. I ordered the size I normally wear and they fit fine. Even though there is no apparent cushioning inside them, the boots are so well made that my foot was supported without being squeezed in the toes or rubbed on my heels. Several reviewers have mentioned heel slippage and I was worried about getting blisters, but none occurred. The slip is exactly what occurs when you wear Danskos (they are designed to do just that, according to my podiatrist), so you can wear these Fryes worry-free. These are my first pair and yes, they are expensive, but because of the quality and stylishness I anticipate they will last a long, long time.
