Literally your foot will freeze when you're in the snow for too long. Never have I experienced my feet to freeze in boots. I even worn socks and like an hour my foot was like frozen in the snow, not literally but my feet were not warm. But when you wear 2 pairs of socks or more your good. I had to get a size bigger just to do so. Furthermore the tabs on the boot will touch each other causing the rubber tab to be a little scraped. I don't know about now but I had that trouble. My legs are skinny so guess that's my defect but I'm blowing this much on a welly so it should conform to me. Besides those issues it's great.

Great all around chore boot for wet weather. Easy on. Easy off. Holds up just fine.

I had originally purchased the Hunter Original tall boot for my husband because he liked mine so much. Once we received them and he tried them on, he thought the short would be better to wear with jeans. When you walk with the tall boots under jeans you can see the top of them through the material. They are slightly bigger than he needs - he got his actual size, but they will be perfect with a thicker sock.

Everyone writes that they run big so size down, I agree. They run about a size larger, I wear a 9 so ordered an 8. It fits a bit more snug but it would be better than too large. I think you need the socks made for the boot because certain socks just don't go with the boots.

Good looking boot but no inner lining like other boots so if you want any comfort for your foot you need to spend more money than the already pricey rubber boot.

I bought these because of the stellar reviews from others on this site as I was looking for a high-quality, stylish rain boot. I decided to treat myself to a pair of Hunters when I got my tax return. Ordinarily, I don't do this, but I was so disappointed with the fact that both boots leak water that I really felt that if you order a pair of these, put them into a sink or bathtub to simulate a puddle ... right out of the box ... had I known my boots were leaky I would have just sent them right back. Now it seems that I'm stuck with a very expensive pair of boots that give me wet feet. I really, really wanted to love these boots. But be warned: check yours and make sure they are not lemons - I learned mine were while washing the car...
