Great rain boots! The felt very comfortable and totally accommodated my wide feet. I chose these over the tall ones because they are easier to take off.

Great boot. It's been a good walking shoe during cyclocross season in New England. I have a small foot, and normally wear a 39.5 Euro size cycling shoe for a perfect fit. The Hunter in size 7 US fit just fine. Remember to remove the paper stickers inside. And the boot shine is probably a good idea. Within weeks they clouded up a bit. But the haze doesn't seem to affect quality.

I bought these for my husband. He loves them. I think that Hunter does run a full size large so beware of that when you order.

Great boots, they are completely waterproof, and I think a little more manly than the knee-high variety. They're even actually pretty comfortable. They don't seem to run quite as big as I would've expected, but they're definitely roomy enough for a thick pair of socks (which you might need as there is not much of a lining). The navy blue is very dark.

If you're looking for a solid pair of rain boots, just stop now and buy these. I wasted a lot of time checking out different rain boots, but kept coming back to these. I actually look forward to wearing these boots as they're very comfortable and easy to clean. They fit well, and are very easy to slide on and off. When it was snowing, I wore these with a thick pair of socks, as they really don't have any insulation. That's fine, however, as the lack of insulation makes them more versatile (just wear different socks). I also purchased the Hunter Hunter Boot Buffer Spray.

Great for walking in the rain or slush, totally waterproof. Had to buy the boot shine though, they got that white rubber residue pretty quickly but the shine made 'em look brand new. Runs a whole size large in my opinion. Got the women's 9 and had to return for an 8.

The package arrived in a timely manner. I chose sizing based on other reviews I found here and it worked great. Overall, these boots were a fantastic purchase and they've done well in the rain. Not to mention the short boot has a more urban feel to it.

I love these shoes! They are well worth the money. They are great in any weather. I have only worn them once in the rain, but they were great. I would highly recommend these boots. The olive green are a great color.

Love these boots, I bought half a size up to help with putting on and taking off. Highly recommended after a month of light wear in the garden.

Great boot. Good style for men, still offers plenty of production against mud and crud. Hiked around in some very soggy conditions, and enjoyed the comfort and traction.

I bought these boots for myself because the pull tab style and dark olive green color aren't options for women's short Hunter boots. The textured/non-glossy finish was a very pleasant surprise - distinguishes the boots from all the shiny rainboots that every girl in the city trots out whenever there's a hint of rain in the air. I was a little worried that they'd be too wide in the toe/heel area (because they're men's boots), but they fit me exactly the way my tall women's Hunter boots do.

I love these boots. The fact that they are shorter makes them more manly. They are a little on the heavy side but I can guarantee you that you won't find another boot made with the same quality compared to Hunter boots.

The boots were delivered covered with a white powdery substance, possibly to keep rubber from sticking, but no info was given in packaging how to remove it.

I was in New York and had to buy a pair of snow/rain boots. As most of you know, the puddles of snow mush/water at each intersection can be wet/a pain to maneuver around. I also bought a pair of hunter fleece socks to wear underneath. Those look feminine to me rolled over so i wore them underneath my jeans, with my jeans tucked in the boots. Looked great and made the fit perfect. Order a size down! Received many compliments and asked where I got them. Short boots look more masculine than the original tall boots.

These are fabulous boot for wet weather. They have an absolutely bulletproof outer so far - they have taken a beating with the New England weather that we have had, and they still look like new. The short version comes up to about mid-calf, so there is plenty of coverage for puddles or piles of slush without being ridiculously tall (not that the original is bad!), plus the rubber construction dries easily and cleans up with just a few wipes over it. Only note is to confirm that these are utility boots without the frills of anything toasty: they are bare-bones and can get chilly, do not expect snow-boot-like warmth out of these.

Had these boots for about one (rainy) month and I couldn't be happier. Well made. Got a full size smaller on the advice of folks here and they're a perfect fit. Thanks Zappos!

They are the definitively perfect boots for rain. If you want to wear them in the snow, they will work very well too - just be advised they they are not insulated, so you will likely need to procure liners for them.

I just received my classic short rainboots. They are perfect, understated and classic. These are perfect for the rainy and wet weather. Easy to maintain.

My husband had a high arch and went with the size down, per all the other comments. Wrong thing to do. Had to return the 11 to get the 12.

There are several reviews saying these boots run large, but that wasn't my experience. I wear a 10.5 and since there are no half sizes, based on those reviews I ordered a 10. Guess what? They were actually... a 10! My toes ran into the end of the boots, even with thin socks. I also read that thick socks are helpful since these are not the most insulated boots, so I'm returning the 10 and ordering an 11. Here's hoping. Otherwise, cool boots and I'm looking forward to wearing them during the next global warming weather disaster.

I've tried at least ten pairs of rain boots over the past two years. Very disappointing. Last year I finally bought the woman's Hunter short boot, and after a couple times out, the buckle on the side broke--I never liked that cheapy buckle. Anyway, I returned them at Nordstrom and searched for more. But nothing compared to the overall quality of Hunter. This year, I decided to try the man's short boot. I like the hoops at the top so much better than the blingy buckle on the woman's version. I'm normally a woman's 10. So I opted for the man's 7. I got the dark olive color. The 7 was a little too small, and the color wasn't exactly what I was hoping for--I had expected a little more army less olive. I exchanged them for the 8 in black. And while the shoe could be a tiny bit smaller, it fits, and the standard black works.

I ordered this boot for a music festival and couldn't be more satisfied with it. The fit runs about half a size large so that's something to consider when ordering.
