I was using running shoes for Crossfit and had to keep taking them off for lifting. I finally kicked my butt into getting new sneakers and settled on these. They have enough support that you can do sprints during a WOD but are flat enough that lifting is no problem. They are a little narrow, so if you have a wider foot, these might not be the shoe for you. They hug your foot pretty snugly, but for the gym that's perfect. I noticed first off how LIGHT my feet felt the first time I wore them at the gym. I am not a really flashy person and the style/colors are not boring but simple enough that I just love them! I only wear them for working out, but I think they are comfortable enough to be worn more often.

Bought these for my husband. He really likes them. Looks good, fits great.

A few months ago I started with cross-fit training and as I evolved I started feeling knee pain. I've never had knee pain as a basketball player, so I started doing some research and I found out that the more support you have in your feet, the worse it is for your knees and back when you perform some exercises -- including running. The Inov-8 F-Lite are awesome, it is like being barefoot but better, I started wearing them for workouts only and now I wear them every day all day. I work on my feet all day and they are very comfortable.

I use this for Crossfit and absolutely love them. They are super lightweight and breathe easy; they are gloves for my feet (with that said, I am not a fan of the 5finger style shoe). I still prefer running shoes for long distance running, although these will still work, they just aren't as comfortable for pavement pounding. INOV-8 nailed it with these.

I tried these based on all the great reviews and I'm so happy I did. These are by far my fave gym shoes ever! Fit is true to size for my foot, I did not adjust size as some other reviewers have suggested. Shoe is very flexible and very light. Love it so much!

Bought these for CrossFit and they work great. I tend to have a hard time keeping balance in a squat, so maybe a weightlifting shoe would have been better, but if you are proficient, these should be great. Lightweight as if they are not even there.

These are awesome shoes and among the best cross training shoes that I have ever worn. My only complaint is that the tongue of the shoe is a little stiff they should make them a little softer. But overall these are awesome shoes and I will buy more.

Basically the best shoe EVER! I bought this shoe solely for Cross Fit. I recently wore them everyday of a 6 day vacation. I received so many compliments on this shoe and, honestly, all I could do was praise it! I have NEVER owned a shoe as amazing as this one! It light, flexible and comfortable. I have wide, flat feet and have had nothing difficulty all my life finding a good shoe. I suggest that you make sure to order 1/2 a size smaller. I really love this shoe. I recommend it to everyone that compliments me on them. It truly is an all around perfect shoe for Cross Fit, running, walking and everyday use. I just may buy another pair.

Excellent shoe for lifting, crossfit, and minimalist running. My personal favorite for CrossFit WODs that involve rounds of running and olympic lifts. This shoe provides a great foundation for lifting (with a very durable sole) with a comfortable/fast ride when transitioning to running. Only down sides are the size (runs larger than most brands) and the style (marginal design/look for the price). Overall, I would definitely recommend.

I never thought that I would like these but I was very surprised. I liked my Asics Gels and they lasted me through a tough mudder and a year of daily running. It is time to retire them so I ordered these, Asics Gel-Kahana reg; 5' and Adidas Running ClimaVool Acirc Ride TR M. I was blown away when I liked these much more than the other two. While there is hardly any padding, they are amazingly comfortable to run in. The shoes almost suck to your feet and there is no slippage whatsoever. In fact when I am running up hills I feel like these shoes grip my heel so well that it gives me extra torque. They breathe extremely well and dry very fast. These shoes paired with some Writesocks and you can handle any terrain in any weather. One major thing to consider, I was 210 pounds when I got my Asics, I am now 185 pounds. I am not sure I would have felt the same about these shoes if I was still carrying the extra 25 pounds.

I love theses shoes! I had been wanting then for awhile and no one had them in my size but Zappos. I exercise a lot to include running and weightlifting. I find these shoes to be perfect for both!

I ordered these shoes for Crossfit workouts. I own a pair of 195's already and wanted another pair with a bit more differential. I would certainly order a half size smaller than your usual shoe.

I purchased the inov-8 F-Lite for CrossFit workouts and I must say, they are great! They are light, comfortable, have a good grip, and are just great shoes. I must also say that Zappos' customer service is also great! I was blown away by not only the shoes, but the customer service I received when purchasing. My son joined CrossFit Dynamix soon after I did and he too is enjoying these shoes. We both highly recommend these shoes.

Awesome CrossFit shoe. I plan to wear this for at least my first year of CrossFit (has been 3 1/2 months now). Transitioning from running shoes, it took two weeks for my foot muscles to accommodate the less padding. Starting with anything thinner, such as the inov-8 195's, would have risked my foot bones.

I love these shoes! I was at a crossroad between this and the 195's but I'm glad I went with this one. I crossfit and this is perfect for everything I do. I cant even tell that I'm wearing these shoes because it's that comfortable! I had to exchange the first pair for a half size bigger. It's definitely snug at your exact size and my toes cramped up so bad during my WOD, that I couldn't deal with just "breaking into them." So get a half size bigger! I like the 230's so much that I had to buy another pair in a different color. The one thing I wish Inov-8 would do though is to get more colors! I'm not too excited about the only few colors they have now. Other than that, you will love these shoes!

I've always been a runner but started trail running last year. These shoes have been amazing! I've always had a mid/forefoot strike but wore stability shoes. Going from those shoes to this was so freeing. I've taken these shoes to the Santa Monica Mountains for up to 18 mile runs so far and just completed the Big Sur Marathon in them with no problem. Great versatility for both road/hard trail running!

This is my second set of Inov8 f-lite 230s. I'm normally a size 10 but those felt a little loose after using them for a few months (seemed like they stretched a bit) so I picked up size 9.5 this time. I use them for training for half marathons and crossfit. I used to have really bad shin splints but haven't had any problems with them since I started using these shoes. They're pretty awesome.

I bought these for my 13 year old son, and it fills many requirements. It has a sleek silhouette, even though it is a size 14. We compared them to the Nike and New Balance and these are more sporty, lightweight, younger in appearance, plus they allow air circulation and are comfortable. I was not familiar with the brand, but will look for them again when shopping for my sons.

I want to wear these for every event! I do a lot of high intensity interval circuits, loved them for their light weight! I tried them for Zumba and Salsa classes, and they perfectly allow enough sliding and turning! They are so very comfortable to wear with a pair of jeans and t- shirt. They are me new favorites. I typically wear a 10.5, but ordered these in a size 10 (based on recommendations). The fit was a score! Order a half size smaller than what you usually wear and you'll be very pleased.

Excellent for Crossfit wods. Have had problems with shin splints with shoes in the past, no significant problems with these if I stay under a mile.

These shoes are everything I expected and more! Despite the slight drop, they still suit me perfectly for any CrossFit WOD! I haven't run any distance in them yet, but the 400s and 800s have required little/no adjustment to my running technique! I absolutely love these--I can't see myself using any other shoe for CrossFit!

Fantastic shoe, it feels like wearing a slipper, ventilates very well, very light, nicely constructed. This is a minimalist type shoe, so not a lot of cushion, and not much arch support. Great for knocking around, gym work, or minimalist running if you're ready for that!
