Just swell... These boots are wonderful. I live in Chicago and I had always hated the UGG boot styles but people compliment on these all the time. They are warm enough and definitely comfortable. Give time to break in for the perfect fit.

Difficult to Put On - I received a pair of the Ugg Swell Talls for Christmas. Once I got them on, they felt fine - a little tight on the top of my foot; however, putting them on was almost impossible. I have very high arches and had a hard time actually getting these boots on my feet. I returned them for a pair of Ugg Konas.

Boho chic and comfort - These boots have the boho chic thing going, and what others see as a negative is a positive for me--I prefer there to be no sheepskin insole, so I have room to wear socks, a much fresher option than bare skin on sheepskin day after day! They are more comfortable than other Uggs I have tried, partly due to the last as well as the crepe sole. If you have athletic legs or a high arch there is room in this boot.

Didn't fit. I ordered 2 pair of Uggs, these and the braided style. Same size, but completely different! I couldn't get these over my foot; they were much too narrow. The braided style (same size) fit fine!

Ugg swell tall - I am Not has happy with these boots a I thought I would be. I love my Ugg classics and thought these would be even better. The boot shaft is 2 inches wider than the classic making it really hard to wear pants over them. The inside bottom is not lined with sheepskin. The soft sheepskin on the inside for comfort is the best part. I bought Ugg insoles to fix this, but they are kind of tight with them in. I like the way they look on the outside.

Very hard to get on and off - These shoes are so hard to get on and off, they were not worth the fuss for me. I always wear a size 8, but I couldn't get my foot through the ankle part of the size 8. I was able to get my foot into the size 9, but it was still a struggle. I'm not sure if I would say they're smaller than marked, but you might want to order up so you can get your foot into the boot. I am going to try the "Swell" and see if I like those better. Once these shoes are on, they are comfortable. I didn't get a chance to walk with them outside, though.

Narrow - Great pair of boots but had to go up a size just to get my foot in. They are very narrow and hard to get on and off. They keep my feet warm but don't get near water or feet will get wet.

They look very stylish, but they are not as comfortable - Inner sole are not lined like the traditional Uggs. That just killed the purpose of paying so much money for a pair of boots.

Ugg Swell Tall - Very comfortable boot! However, does not keep my feet as warm as I had been told they would. (I think it has more to do with the omission of shearling on the bottom of the boot as that seems to be where the cold sets in?)

Very cute, but not so comfortable - Perhaps it's just my one foot, but this boot gave me a blister on the bottom of my foot and the heel construction began to rub at my ankle with every step that I took. Sadly, I had to return these for a more forgiving boot shape (Ultimate Tall boot). I did order a size up.

No sheepskin footbed - I’m very disappointed that the inside was lined with short sheepskin except the footbed. The footbed was actually uncomfortable. Pretend like you’re dragging your bare feet across a rubber surface and that is what the footbed feels like. Plus, the footbed lacks a shock-absorber. I walked down NYC in these boots and my feet felt the pounding of the pavement. The original Uggs and Knightsbridge were 100% more comfortable than these.

I'm a long-time Ugg wearer. After nine years, my original Uggs (a gift) finally wore out. I wore them through everything (live in Chicago) and never had any problems with cold or wet feet. They were great! Looking forward to a new pair, I bought the Swell Talls. Beautiful boots! They fit me perfectly and are super comfortable. However, as winter came on full force, I discovered, to my shock and frustration, they are not waterproof. My winter boots were not meant for winter. I paid a lot of money for fashion boots. Ugh, indeed. Cannot return them. For those of you in winter cities, if you don't want to wear your Uggs with plastic grocery bags inside them to keep your feet dry, don't buy the Swell Talls. My fault for assuming that all Uggs were waterproof like my last ones. An expensive lesson. I rated them an overall "2" because of the inanity of making expensive winter boots that are not waterproof.

I am the proud owner of 4 various pairs of Ugg boots, but even after ordering a 1/2 size up per the recommendations here I could not get my foot into the Swell. It took my boyfriend\'s help to jam my foot, at which point I became worried I wouldn\'t be able to get it off. It\'s a nice boot, but something is very off on the sizing around the ankle area. The actual foot size seemed okay.

I love my other Uggs, but these were a huge disappointment. Uggs without socks is typically heaven to my feet, as the inside lining is so soft and cushy. These were not and a huge disappointment. Beyond that, the style wasn't great; for the price, these just didn't look well made. Size-wise, thanks for the reviewers' tip to go a size larger. Normally, I wear 10 Uggs, and the 11 in these was a good fit. These are on the snug side, so if I had wide feet, I probably wouldn't go with this style.

Frozen toes! These boots look great but my feet freeze in them. My toes were numb after only 40 minutes of sitting in an ice arena...so we're not talking walking around in the frozen tundra. About the only thing these boots are good for is walking from your car into the office...but make sure you run the heat in your car at full blast!! It honestly feels like you are walking bare feet on the cement!
