Runs Large, But Cute - I have a narrow-ish foot size 8 and I ordered a size 8 (which has worked for me in the past with Keen) and my foot swam in the size 8... both in length and width. I'm ordering a half size down, and hopefully it'll fit better especially if I wear thick socks.

Almost the boot I wanted - I am sad to have to return these boots. They look great. The foot fits perfectly and is very comfy. The problem is the very top of the boot. It is way too tight around my calf (and I think my calves are pretty average size). I could get it zipped but it was too tight. If they could just put a bit of stretch there, they'd be perfect. Zappos service was great though. I ordered them on a Thursday afternoon and they came on Friday. I've already ordered something new from Zappos.

Good Overall - The Keen boots are comfortable, one spot on the calf part feels it needs more breaking in. I have worn them on a hike and they kept my feet dry and fairly warm on a 30 degree day. I also wore them shopping on Black Friday, they were cute with jeans and my feet never hurt. I like the detailing on the back and would wear them with a casual skirt to show it.

Great boot - Love these boots. Felt like there should be a bit more cushioning inside so I bought some insoles. Otherwise, great boot.

Love Keen! I got these boots to replace my 4 year old boots. They are very comfortable although the arch seems to be a little far back on the heel. The best truly waterproof shoes!

Great boot - I have yet to test these in really cold weather or slushy snow, but I'm very excited to have snow boots that are both warm and stylish (as stylish as snow boots can be). Other reviews have said Keen boots run small, so you should order up a size. I ordered my actual size, 6.5, and found them to fit perfectly. In fact, they are fairly wide and I may have been able to even wear a 6. So, I was glad I ordered my true size. My only complaint about this boot is that the wool makes it a bit itchy around the calf. I have fairly bulky calves, so they are right up against the boot - plus, my socks get pushed down exposing more leg to the wool. Overall though, these are great boots and I'm excited to put them to the test.

Pretty good - I was looking for comfy boots for my long walk to work in crummy weather. I have keen sandals and know how great they are for arch support and a cushiony walk, and these boots don't disappoint for comfort. They aren’t THE cutest, but they're not bad looking. Haven't had the chance to wear them out in the cold yet so I hope they are warm enough. Like all keens they run wide and big.

Love Keen shoes, but disappointed in these. Short, tight, stiff leather not the best in such a tall boot, no lining. Rough leather look best on the ranch, but not practical.

Is not as nice as it looks in the picture. It has a cheap look to it, is very wide and just not what I expected.

I usually wear an 8 or 8.5. I got an 8 in this boot and it fit but it was not comfortable. The shaft is too stiff and my heel slipped too much when walking. It felt like the slippage could cause blisters because the boot is not soft inside. Some reviewers noted an issue with zipping up the shaft. I was able to zip it all the way up but barely. I'm 5'6 and the top of the shaft hit me just below the fullest part of my calf. My calf measures 13.5 where the boot hits compared to 14 immediately above the boot. I'm sending this boot back because of the uncomfortable heel slippage.

The boots are nice, and feel snug. I usually wear a size 8 double wide. My actual foot size is between 6.5 and 7. One draw back. My calves are wider than when I was younger. Not that they look thick by any means, but with this boot, I can barely zipper them up. I used to be very thin and my calves have widen a wee bit due to age. If you have wide calves, don't buy these boots. I bought these in a size 8. They are nice, but watch the sizing. The actual foot room was okay for my feet, just the calf part of the boot.

I love the look of these, and initially they felt good, but I developed a really sore ankle after a while of wearing them - they are really unsupportive around the ankle. I put in my own orthotics to improve the arch support, but couldn’t do anything to fix the ankle problem, so have to pass them on to my friend... I have sensitive feet so I’m sure they’re fine for most people, but be warned if you have ankle problems - they may not be great for you.

I am a big fan of Keens and wanted to like these boots because they are nice looking, but alas they didn't work. I have a narrow ankle and small calves so the cord on the back did absolutely nothing in terms of tightening/improving the fit. I could tell that if I wore them for any length of time they'd rub my leg too much and just felt very sloppy. Otherwise, the footbed seemed very supportive and comfortable. Returning these and purchasing the Ugg Ultra Tall. Never thought I'd own a pair of Uggs.

These are super cute! I wear a size 9 to 9.5, and the 9.5 was a bit too big. The toe bed fits like any other Keen I own, but the calves were a bit tight and itchy. I actually ordered two different styles and chose the other. These are true to size and comfy.

I several pairs of Keen shoes and love them, but these boots are going back. They are cute, and I actually like the clunkiness. The problem is they are too big around the ankles. Other than that they fit true to size and are comfortable and seem warm (I\'m an 8 in everything, including Keen). If they were shaped more around the ankle I would have kept them. Bummer!

These are okay. They are cute looking, but a bit clunky to walk in. They are a bit loose in the calf, so it makes walking odd. They keep my feet warm. Not sure if I like how clunky they feel.

Okay, but not the best - This boot was alright except for the calf area. The top of the boot rubbed the back of my legs raw, even with taller socks. Also, they weren't too warm in anything colder then 25 or so. I ended up wearing my work boots for the rest of the winter.

Didn't work for me - Keen- Winthrop Boot. These boots are very nice looking and should have been great for inclement Pacific Northwest weather. But the shaft of the boot if very short. Which is not attractive. And the shaft of the boot is too small for my calf. It pinched me. So for both those reasons I returned them. Still looking for a hardy winter boot.

I've worn the same pair of Keens for over three years now and was saddened to HAVE to buy a new pair. I decided on the Winthrop and had just begun to get excited about it when they arrived and I tried them on. Way too big! I ordered the exact same size as my favorite Keen boot -a solid 8, and was surprised when my feet wiggled around in them as if I were wearing a 9. Every time I took a step my heel lifted up and rubbed. I have muscular calves and small ankles so there was too much room all around and I felt sort of like I had little tree trunk legs. I'm so sad! Thank goodness Zappos make returns easy. Now I have to start the search over again. Darn it! I still love Keens though and recommend the brand. I wore my old pair almost every day and they lasted very, very well.

Loved the look of this boot, but it was too narrow and a bit short. Even had the daughters try it on, but not a true fit for any of us. No lining.

Oh so sad. I love Keen! I love the way the boot fits my foot, but I can't get it zipped up to the top. I've got calves, but not BIG calves. The design doesn't widen to match the shape of the leg. Boohoo

These boots are true to fit, but a little clunkier than I hoped. I decided to return them and try some Borns or Merrells. I have thin ankles and calves, but big feet, which makes it hard to find boots. These fit if I cinch the back lacing up all the way, but that leaves a long loop dangling. These would be a good fit for average to large calves if you are looking for a comfortable boot. I would recommend high socks with them to prevent the boots from rubbing on your shins.

I was not impressed with these boots at all. They are very wide. The length fit true to size but my heel flopped all over. I am very tiny, but while my heel flopped, my calfs were tight on the boot. If you can get them to fit right, they are a nice looking around the town boot. However, I don\'t see how you could dress them up with a skirt. Zappos returned them hassle free.
