Great for this Chicago winter, but snug in the calves. I walk about a mile to and from work in Chicago, and these boots are fabulous. They keep my walk comfortable, dry and warm! The only thing that surprises me is that calves are a little snug on me, and I am a thin size four in slacks.

Awesome - Got these boots for Christmas from my Mom. I just love them. They are warm, durable, comfortable and stylish...all at the same time!!! Thanks Keen, for making a great boot!!!

Warm and Waterproof! We're getting record snowfall this year and my Keens came just in time! They are nearly perfect. They are extremely (EXTREMELY) comfortable, nice looking although they look just ever so slightly chunkier than I expected, but that's ok. And, I thought they would have a slightly better grip, but then again, I've been trudging through a foot of slush and ice, what can you expect? I looked at hundreds of boots before deciding on these and I would not trade them for any other boot! They are rugged and durable but stylish and cute, warm and waterproof. Love 'em.

Snug & warm - These boots are great! Only problem is they are a little tight at the top of the calves, but other than that, they are awesome. Warm, comfortable, functional.

I love this boot! I slosh through rain and snow and my feet stay warm and dry. They are much cuter in the flesh and even look good with skirts. I stand all day in these boots and still want to wear them in the evening.

Keen's ROCK. Love, Love, Love them! They are sporty, can be dressed up with tights and a cute dress, versatile.

I love these shoes! My aunt just bought these for me and I love them! They were a little uncomfortable at first but I think it's because they were new because now they feel fine!

Keen Winthrop Boot - The boot is great! It is made of very soft leather. It is also very warm when it's cold.

I love these boots - they are cute, comfortable, sturdy, warm, and casual... these boots got it all! I'd been looking for the perfect pair of black boots for a long time and I finally found them! I get lots of compliments on them, too!

I absolutely love these boots. Very comfortable, rugged but stylish and is waterproof (the black). I spend a lot of time outdoors and I have been wearing these boots everyday since I got them about 3 weeks ago. I highly recommend them. Zappos service is of course exceptional!

Keen Winthrop boot - These are the best Keen boots I've ever worn. They fit perfectly (although the top of the boot is a little on the snug side). They offer excellent support and are funky cute as well. I'd buy the other colors as well if only they were waterproof. Here in the snow it's cold one day/slushy the next.

My new best friends... This is by far the best footwear I have ever worn. I wear these boots constantly. They offer warmth, roomy comfort, support and fantastic stability... and they look fabulous!

i ordered a half size up so I could wear thick socks....they are PERFECT! The toebox is wide and the soles will be good for snow & ice. they LOOK great too! Come on COLD weather!! I'm ready.

They are great - I wear other Keen shoes - sandals & hiking boots - I love them all. They tend to run small, I wear 1/2 size bigger than with other brands. The boots are really warm; the boiled wool is a great addition to the leather.

Great Boots - I love these boots. They're cute plus very roomy with plenty of space for heavy socks. These were comfortable right out of the box. Excellent arch support and very warm. Easy on and off. I am going to get another pair!

At last - I have been searching for a comfortable boot that doesn't have a higher heel and would fit my flat, wide feet. The Winthrop is just the one. I have several pairs of Keen's and I love them all. I was hoping Keen would come out with a more stylish boot and here it is. I tried it on at a local store before I ordered and found my normal size Keen 9 fit just fine. It would have taken 10 days for this store to ship me these boots, too long. I came back to Zappos and once again they were right on with the shipping. I ordered these boots at 9 pm and they were on my porch at 11 the next morning. Zappos rocks and so do these boots!

Like em so far... I just got these in, so I haven't had a chance to experience them in snow/ice elements. For winter boots, they feel very warm and comfortable. Any they look good too. They're a bit stiff, which is why I'm giving the comfort 4 stars, but perhaps this will improve as I break them in. I have average size calves and they fit snugly--not too tight to slide in some jeans, but snug enough so they hug my calves. I, unlike some of the others, did not find that these felt wide, but perhaps if you've got narrow feet they will be wide. They do have a bit of a bulky feel, but I think that's the case with all waterproof/winter-type boots. I'm looking forward to checking them out in the snow this winter. The sole feels like it will grip great on slippery walks!

The boots are as comfortable as I would expect a pair of Keens to be! I learned after a couple of days of wearing them non stop, however, to always wear tall socks or tights with them so that the tops of the boots don't rub on my shins. Otherwise, I love them!

Excellent! I don't know how, but I received these boots the VERY next day after ordering. Perfect for a stormy, rainy day to run errands in. I wore them all day & they never gave me a problem. I had hoped they'd be a bit wider, but just wore thin socks but since the boots are lined, my feet were warm all day.

These were comfortable from the moment I put them on. I would have thought that they would have been warmer though. They're lined with wool, but it's not enough for cold, snowy days. The wool part is not waterproof, but it shouldn't be a problem unless you're walking in deep snow. The waterproof leather part is several inches high. They are a very cute boot, just not as wintery as I would have liked.

Kenn Winthrop Boot - I love Keens! These boots are now my 4th pair - but 1st pair of boots. So I kinda knew to some degree what they might be like and after reading the reviews before purchasing the boots, I knew even more what to expect and so yes, they are a tad wider than marked, but that's okay for thicker socks. And yes, for those of us who have "athletic calves", it indeed was (sadly, I guess I thought I had thinner calves) a little too tight for comfort, but thankfully I talked to an excellent customer service rep. I pondered whether or not to see if they could be stretched and she said, check it out, but only do it if the cobbler was really sure... well, I took the chance and lo and behold I now have a pair of boots that fit me perfectly! Only $5 to do, so well worth it! So for those of you with "athletic calves", keep this in mind! Aside from that, cute as can be, comfy to walk, and I know they will keep my feet toasty warm here in cold Burlington VT!

INCREDIBLE SERVICE from ZAPPOS!!! I ordered a pair of these pants last night and it was delivered to me today before 7pm! I wish all internet shopping was this easy and wish I could purchase everything I needed from Zappos! The pants are GREAT, ordered one in each color. I wear Size 26 and size 0 fit perfectly.

Comfy stylish boot - I was looking for a winter boot that would grip well on ice and snow. The tread is the same as on a pair of Keen shoes I own so I think it will work. I am not sure how waterproof the Bison color boot is as opposed to the black, as it has only a layer of wool on the back. I ordered the black as well and it has all leather construction and has a label inside saying waterproof - the bison pair does not. Also, the black were too snug at the top of my foot, especially the left one; so much so that the leather pulls. I'm sending those back (may just be a construction problem). I am very happy so far with the fit of the bison (brown) pair though (my heels move a bit, but I don't mind since that gives me room for thicker socks)!

Finally I’ve found my boots! I was afraid Zappos might cut me off because I have bought and returned SO many pairs of shoes. But these boots are perfect: cute style, warm and dry. Had knee surgery just a month ago yet could wear these out of the box and walk in the Portland rain for hours with no pain in my feet or knee. I think I will be wearing these every day til June.
