These shoes are amazingly warm. Bought a 9, usually wear an 8 in heels, 9 in tennis shoes, they are slightly big, but if I were wearing thick socks (have yet to) they would be good. So if you want to wear them with thin socks, don't go up a size too much. Glad I bought them; I hope to get a lot of use out of them in the winter.

I love these boots. I live in Colorado, so I purchased them mainly for the traction on snow packed trails and the ease of putting them on. The Keen sole does its job - as expected, since I own Keen sandals - rugged and grippy. But I was impressed - unexpectedly - with their warmth. Under "normal" winter conditions, my feet are toasty in these boots. When I am standing still - watching outdoor hockey games - in sub zero temps, my toes do get chilled, but that is understandable! I never double up on socks. When I'm moving, they're warm and comfortable and I feel pretty stable on my feet.

I love my Keen Betty boots! They feel like wearing a pair of Nike air sneakers, yet keep your feet warm and dry. They look nice enough to wear during my commute to work and can stand up to the miles of walking I do in them with great comfort. The fit is good though slip a bit in my heel. The lining is warm but not too warm and the traction is good in the snow and ice. I am so glad to have bought these boots and will hopefully have them for many winters to come!

These boots are wonderful. Warm, but not too warm and the traction is incredible in the snow. They also don't eat your socks, like some boots. You may want to get a size up, because the lining and heavy socks will make them feel a bit smaller than their size. This is what happened to me. I originally ordered a 10, but they were way too tight with winter socks. I walk and hike in these boots. Great ankle support makes them good in the snowy woods. You can also add ice grabbers for extra traction on ice. Namely, I wear these Keens to walk my Basset Hound, Millie, in the snow. She thinks they look pretty spiffy too!

Love these boots. Practical (warm, comfy, waterproof), and also very cute. I have pretty wide feet, and I wear a size 11. These boots slide on snug but are then very comfortable and warm without being hot. My first pair of Keens and I am hooked.

My daughter is going through a boot phase and put these on her Birthday/Christmas list. Keen is her favorite brand due to fit. Of the 4 pair she received (also Patagonia and Merrell) these are her most worn and warmest pair.

Live in Michigan, so we get plenty of snow. So far I love the boots, I first ordered the 9.5 but then decided to try a 10 which I kept gave me a little more toe room. I own lots of Keens would definitely recommend them!

I love these boots. My feet are always warm and dry. Size does run a little small, but once you find your match...it's heaven.

I have high arches and also heel pain. I normally can wear only the "shape up" shoes, but they are all like "tennis shoes" and not for winter. It is ready hard for me to find a winter shoe for cold or wet conditions without heel pain. This boot has great arch support, minimum heel impact and kept by feet warm in our coldest snowy conditions and dry in wet conditions. For work, I was exposed to every winter condition (snow, ice, cold, rain, ankle deep water, mud, etc), these boots did the job for me! Plus they washed up like new! I can also wear without heel inserts! I wear 6.5, I got 7 for the extra room for socks.

These are wonderfully warm and comfortable boots. If you like Keen shoes, you'll like the Keen boots.

I bought this boot for the occasional cold weather that we have in my part of Texas. I got these boots last year and only wore them a few times. I noticed that they did slide a bit on wet sidewalks. This year I really broke them in and have been wearing them almost on a daily basis. Once I walked around enough on a rough sidewalk I noticed that the bottom was no longer slippery on wet surfaces. The lining keeps your feet really toasty and they are so comfortable to walk in. I found these to also be great shoes to wear when flying. I was able to unzip them off quickly during the security check and jump back into them and zip up right. I wore thin socks with these boots and did not experience any blisters even after an all day walking tour.

I also have the Keen slip on low boots and I loved them, so I knew that the size and comfort. I would recommend them to my friends and relatives. My daughter in law also purchased the Keen boot, and loves them too.

I know. I live in TX. You're thinking that I need a snow boot just about as much as I do a snowmobile. But the thing about TX is that the weather can be quite mercurial; fifty degree drops in temperature are not uncommon. Believe it or not, we do get some snow and ice. I purchased these boots the day after Christmas '09 when I found myself icebound in my apartment with a Cocker Spaniel who really needed a walk (bless his furry little heart; he wouldn't go to the bathroom inside to save his soul!). Surprisingly, I have worn these boots much more often than I had imagined I would. When the temperature drops into the 30's, I throw them on with thin socks. If the mercury drops lower, I wear my thick Keen socks (oh, so comfy!). Either way, my feet are comfy and toasty warm. They are great in the random TX snowstorm and winter visits to NJ. And, they provide reasonable traction on ice. While these boots aren't exactly high fashion, they are cute in a dorky sort of way, lightweight and very comfortable. Yay, Keens!

Love the boot. May be a little tight fitting, especially if you have a high instep.

Run just a bit larger but that is good in a winter boot so that you can wear a thick sock comfortably. These boots are great, soft, warm, and easy to walk in. These are also comfortable around my ankles and calves; I have large calves and have struggled in the past to find a boot that wasn't too tight. Love them so far, but lots of winter to go.

I bought these to wear running errands, going to campus for class, taking my kids sledding, etc... staying warm and dry in the Wisconsin snow. I usually wear 8 - 8 1/2 medium, however, my foot is on the narrow side. This boot wrapped my foot better than many I tried on. They are easy to put on and take off. My bootcut jean cuffs fit fine into the boot. If you have larger calves, your pant cuff might not fit. There is a lot of traction on the bottom of these boots. These are light weight and modern.

These boots are great! They have great support and are warm without being overly warm. The tread is very stable and 'grippy' and they support my feet really well. I ordered a 7.5 when usually I am a 7--Keens seem to run small. I had no heel slippage as other commenters mentioned, but I only just got them last night [Thanks, Zappos!] and wore them all day today with comfort. So I have 2 issues: The top part of the left boot seems to cut into my leg a bit--maybe I just have big calves, but it wasn't to the degree that it was terrible, and perhaps my sock was bunched up there. The other is that the zipper pulls are a little small to grip to get the zippers up, but also perhaps those will loosen up with use as well. Really happy with my purchase--recommended!

These are great "old lady" boots, exactly what I was looking for, for dog walks, going out to get the paper, and trudging to work when the parking lot hasn't been plowed. They are warm and easy to get on and off. To my mind, they run a half size small in length but are roomy width wise.

I love the Keen line, and I was extremely happy to see a boot that fits my needs. I highly recommend them! They keep my feet warm, too.

Have not worn them yet, no snow yet. I will not be unprepared when it comes. Seem very warm and comfy.

Awesome boot! Very comfy and true to size. The zipper makes it very easy to get on and off, and the cushy insole is extremely comfortable for walking.

This is the first Keen boot I have purchased and it is awesome. So supportive, comfortable and I have worn them for 8-10 hours at a time doing massage! My back and body always feel great afterward. I like the height and also the circumference is nice and gives extra room around the ankle. Perfect!

I love Keen shoes and boots and I love these boots. They fit so well and look good, too. I received them in a timely manner and am quite pleased. I wore them for a big walk with my dog this past weekend.

I've looked a long time for a waterproof boot that had both good fit and style. The Keen Betty Boot fit the bill on both counts. Although not inexpensive, it was worth the price. My feet remained dry and warm during the terrible February snows (and melts) that occurred in PA this year. I felt that they were a half size smaller than marked, but that may change after a few more wearings.

I bought these boots for an Alaskan vacation in March. I needed something super warm for possible negative temps. The boots are modern cute, very soft inside and comfy on the foot, but I also had a heel slippage like a previous reviewer. Keens usually fit me great, so I'm not sure why the heel was weird. In any case, that wasn't reason to return them, I loved wearing them. My feet stayed dry, but don't count on these boots for super cold weather. Even with insulated socks, these boots failed to keep my feet warm in moderate winter Alaska temps (0-teens), even though the product description states they're good for very cold weather.
