First the color on the website looks nothing like the color I received. I looked this color up on birkenstocks website and it is the color that zappos sent me. So the picture zaapos has posted is not the actual color. Second there is area right under my toes that when I tried to walk in them they applied painful pressure. I am going to return.

These are by far my favorite shoes. I've had several pair of Birkenstock and they are the only shoe that has helped alleviate my plantar fasciitis pain. I'm not sure if it was this pair in particular but I found them to wear down very quickly. Within a couple months these shoes lost all their support and seem like they wore down much faster than usual. I can usually get a year easily out of a pair and 2 months these were in bad shape. Love Birks...maybe just a lemon?

Standing in these shoes is amazing (comfort). Walking in these shoes is mixed bag. 1. House use, great, walking short distances (ft vs blocks), great, etc 2. Walking more than a block - unusable and actually painful/damaging to your body Rest of the story: Birkenstock previous model used natural leather piece that attaches to foot bed, allowing for a natural, form fitting and non abrasive hold when you walk. The Gizeh and Ramses models both use a hard plastic piece and when you walk, this rubs inside, between your two toes creating friction and pain. A side effect of this is that the shoe slips as you walk since you can't hold your toes the same way with other Birkenstock due to this horrible hard plastic. Hate to say this but Birkenstock's move to mass production lower end shoes ($30-40) has pushed it's way up to their $100 line, destroying the history of shoes that can be used outside of the house. Will come back to Birkenstock once they figure out a better design.

Do you have affectionate feelings about the space between your big toe and second toe? Would you like to see it shredded? At the beach? Walking for a mile with sand scraping into an area of completely missing skin? YOU WILL LOVE THESE.

The color I received is not Tobacco Oiled Leather at all. A very light tan, more like Nubuck and does not seem oiled at all. Looks nothing like the photo on the website. I will be returning.

I’ve been wearing Birkenstocks for years and unfortunately this particular shoe that I purchased from Zappos was not in line with the quality that I am used to getting with the brand. There was glue protruding from the toe post making it uncomfortable to wear. On that same shoe (left) the same glue was stuck to the under of the strap. The left arch was not in line, position wise, as the right shoe. Overall, it was just a disappointing shopping experience. They are going back.

Not sure what they sent but it isn't oiled leather. It's nubuck. Come on, Zappos.

The color is totally different than what is pictured online

Would have loved these shoes if Zappos sent the correct blue ones. Instead, they sent me a pair of black shoes where the buckle had been manipulated twice and the strap was stretched. I now have to spend an hour of my life returning them. On the plus side, I found the same shoes elsewhere for half the price.

I'm so disappointed with the poor comfort level of these shoes! I only purchased them because Zappos stopped carrying the Mephisto Hale in any nubuck models. What a mistake for my feet are these Birkenstock Gizeh sandals! There is zero cushioning and the are super hard and I hate and I mean by that my feet, ankles, knees, legs and back HATE the low heel cup. What was I thinking? The only semi-comfortable Birkenstocks I've enjoyed are the Bostons with the soft footbed and the narrow sizing for women's feet (regular width just swims on my feet in the unisex sizing.) For my comfort I can't say enough how much Mephistos get my vote. I could wear Mephistos for the 14 hour days I sometimes work and feel great. I have bunions and knee and lower back trouble and Mephistos are the most comfortable shoe for me ever! I wanted a simple thong like the Hale and I ought not to have purchased these Birkenstocks just for the similar look. No comparison in comfort. Stiff and the toe piece cuts like a dagger between my toes. I also find the dansko sandals very well cushioned for a clog type of sandal. Forget these if comfort is what you're after. So what if they look ok if you're in pain! Will never buy this shoe again!

My first pair of Birkenstock- and I’m impressed. I can wear them at work in the summer all day long and my feet don’t hurt at the end of the day!

These shoes are a replacement for an identical pair I've worn out over the years! They are the best shoe I can imagine.

I have a pair of Oiled Leather Gizeh's that are 4 years old. I got a new pair in a different color, same size (36) and they were a bit too small I returned them for the 37 and they fit perfectly!

I Ddon't know why , but the pair I received was much narrower than other pairs of the same style...though I loved the color, will reorder in case the narrow width pair I received was a mistake.

The most comfortable easy to wear shoe EVER! I never thought I'd wear Birkenstocks... but these have a great style and amazing comfort... love them!

This is my second pair of this style of Birkenstocks. My other pair (just like them) were over ten years old and literally wore out. Love my Birkenstocks!

These are fantastic! They perfectly blend style and comfort. Offers nice support and molds to your foot over time. They might require a short break-in period, but once they’re worn in, they're super comfy.

As always, these are awesome. I purchased these to replace an old pair, and did order a size down this time. They take some getting used to, but my feet love them.

I wear a size 10 tennis shoe with socks but size 40 Birkenstock fits my foot perfectly because it’s a sandal that of course is worn without socks. I’ve tried on size 41 at the Birkenstock store but it feels like there’s just too much room in the back.

These sandals are well made and I love the leather color and style! Unfortunately, the piece between my first two toes is too hard and I will be returning them; I am so disappointed they did not fit as they are beautiful sandals. ,
