It's a great summer sandal! Stylish as well as comfortable. Can't go wrong with this shoe.

Perfect! Sent two pairs of Mephisto back (which run smaller and don't have a great foot bed, anyway). Foot bed is always ahhh, I don't know why I try any others? Pointless your foot actually feels safe, my heels sink into the shoe and even better than most Earth shoes! Buy them - they are cute and cost less than Mephisto and look better!

I bought these exactly a year ago the other day. I wear these all the time and they still look perfect and are so comfortable!

First of all Zappos services are exceptional! I got three pairs of shoes to try out the style and sizes until finally I found this one and returned the others! The Birko Flor material does not compare to real leather; real leather just looks classier! I'm normally 6.5, the 37 felt a half size larger but the 36 felt a half size smaller. I figured it's supposed to fit a little bit big to get full comfort. I got used to it!

I have several pairs of Birks in this style, different colors. I ordered this particular color because of the lovely orange shown. It is not orange. It is brown. I kept it because I don't have a brown pair. These shoes are great, never wear out. I usually wear a 9 in most shoes, but wear a 8 1/2 in Birks.

This shoe style looks good on my foot; I am able to get the narrow width through Zappos, so the Birkenstock doesn't look so clunky. The oiled leather is a lovely neutral brown, although it showed up under a request for black. I also have this shoe in red--fun!

I love these shoes! They broke in very easily and are probably the most comfortable shoes I own. The only 'problem' I had with them is that they are a little less orange than they looked in the picture, definitely more of a rust or an orangey brown, which is okay because it makes them easier to wear with more colors. Great shoes, I highly recommend them.

I bought these shoes a few days before I was taking a trip to NYC. I never had a chance to break them in before hand so I wore them anyway. These shoes are the best! I walked the city for three days without any pain, discomfort or blisters! I love these and don\'t think I can ever go back to any other kind of sandal.

First pair of Birkenstocks and I'm hooked! After the initial couple of days to get them broken in and molded to my feet, these became the most comfortable shoes that I own. I'll certainly be shopping for another pair soon. Why did it take me so long? I really wanted a pair that fit my aesthetic as well as my feet and Gizeh is very attractive and timeless rather than crunchy. As always, Zappos was fast and worry-free!

Have to WANT to like it!!! I am a thong person--I only have one other style of sandals that aren't thongs and they are Birkenstocks. It has never bothered me to wear anything between my toes. Having said that, I was still a little nervous to try the Gizeh style after learning that the thong piece is plastic. That really worried me, and I still don't quite understand why Birkenstock makes them this way when it seems like a piece of leather would perform the same, more comfortable function. I love the style, though, and wanted to try them. So, after about a week of wearing them here and there (the longest period has been to the grocery store), I have to say that they are very comfortable shoes. The thong piece is a little more uncomfortable than it needs to be--I am still confused as to why it is plastic--but overall, it didn't bother me that much. I assume it will become more comfortable with time. I do have to say, though, I find myself reaching for my Granadas much more often than these, especially if I'm going to be walking a lot. These are definitely primarily for me about looks--they are really really really cute!!!!

The wrong sandal was sent. I ordered Birkenstock Gizeh Tobacco Oiled leather but was sent just normal Tobacco. Definitely not the oiled leather sandal for which I was charged!

Color TOTALLY didn't match what is shown. Got ugly tan, not a warm/worn leather.

I was either shipped the wrong pair or the photo of the color is highly erroneous. Instead of a beautiful rich mottled color, I received the most boring flat tan color. I love the Gizeh shoe itself but I was SO bummed to get this bland color.

I was super excited to get and try my very first pic of Birks! When I opened the box the color was significantly lighter than the picture. Was really disappointed and debating on returning these and buying from a website that can represent the correct color especially for shoes that cost more than $100!!

I have a few pair of Birkenstocks but not in the style. The reason I gave this three stars overall is that they came with a huge scratch on the thong.

got the most drab light tan color and not Oiled Leather. Very disappointed. Thankful for free returns.

The size is too large and the wrong ones came. I ordered Gizeh Oiled Leather Tabacco but what came was Tabacco Brown. Super disappointed.

I normally wear size 5 or 5.5, but the size 36 was about an inch too long. I ordered a 35 and it was still quite big. So I'm returning both and trying a youth size 34. Hope it will fit because I really like this style.

Great, as always. My regular size for Gizeh, the tobacco is a very neutral taupe color. Love.

decent looking but i wish they were a bit prettier. the footbed is original... meaning normal width and not soft footbed, thankfully, so they're comfortable and supportive. the soft footbed on any birk is a joke and ruins the purpose of the shoe.

Wonderful! I was wearing a 38, I'm a size 7, in the black but decided to try a 37 after reading many reviews and they are absolutely perfect. I love the way they fit and I love this color. So beautiful!!

Love Gizeh sandals. Over the past 10 years or so, I've worn out three pair, this is my fourth, and I'm about to order a fifth. Durable, with excellent support and comfort - and my feet basically do not like any kind of shoes, so that's saying a lot. The only thing I don't like about them is that I can't wear them outside in the winter. I wish you made snow boots with the same footbed. I also wish I could buy just the insoles (original, full length, with the toe support) so I could put them in all my other shoes.

I love these Birkenstock Gizeh Oiled Leather sandals. I have been ordering and wearing them for years! Yup, that means I am 65+ and even got my daughter and granddaughter hooked on Birkenstock. Love them.

If you love Birkenstocks you will love these! You will need to get used to the toe as it is firm, but these are very supportive and comfortable sandals.
