I usually wear US8 so ordered this sandal in size 39. It was too big and the toe strap really hurt. I was going to return them and look for something else, but everyone said how comfortable these sandals are, so I took a chance and exchanged for the size 38. What a difference! All the discomfort with the toe strap, etc. disappeared. For these sandals, it appears that the correct length is very important. and in particular that the toe strap is in the correct spot at the base of the big toe.

These are my very favorite spring and summer shoes. I wear them literally every day. When I was pregnant, during the hottest summer on record, and my feet were super swollen they were the only shoes that fit!

This is my first pair of Birkenstocks. I am quite stingy when it comes to spending money on shoes since I tend to be rough in them. I made the plunge because at the ripe age of 29 my high arches aren't putting up with my twenty dollar sandals. I read multiple reviews and I heard the break in process could be painful but honestly I thought they were comfortable from day one. I usually wear a 6.5-7 and I ordered the 37. They fit perfectly. I have a feeling this isn't my last pair!

I heard these were difficult to break in so I wore them around the house for about 2 hours at a time and by the second day they were perfect! I wear size9 in womens, 10 in Nike shoes so I went with a 40- fits great! They are so cute and stylish you can dress them up or down. I am a Chaco / danskos lover and these fit perfectly in the mix. Great quality shoe.

These are huge! I wear 8/8.5 and I actually need to order a 37.

This is my second pair of Birkenstocks, the other pair I've had for over 10 years now and are still extremely comfortable and in excellent shape. I picked these shoes because I liked the style and I wanted a summer sandal with a little more support and substance than a flip flop. These are perfect and SO comfortable right out of the box. I have a medium to narrow foot and I appreciate that these have adjustable straps so that I can tighten them enough so that they stay put on my foot. Also, it will be nice to be able to tighten the straps as the leather stretches (which leather will do.) All around a GREAT shoe and worth the money.

This is the second pair I've bought for my mom. She loves them! The color coordinates with everything.

Best sandals ever. My first pair of Birks, and now that I've had them nearly a year, I never want to take them off. Took a couple of days to get used to how stiff the bottoms were, but now they feel like heaven. I have very flexible feet and moderate bunions so supportive shoes are a must. I absolutely love these shoes!!!!

Always the most comfortable brand! These fit perfectly, the support in the sole lines up exactly where it should on the bottoms of my feet. I would say that these run a 1/2 size large, as I am a 9 and bought the 39, which is an 8-8 1/2. My other style of Birkenstocks is also a 39, so maybe this is just how this brand runs. I wore them all day and had no break-in issues, no blisters or discomfort. Beautiful shoes!

This is my first pair of Birkenstocks and I love them. The Gizeh style is super cute. As other reviewers mentioned, the shoes take a bit of time to break in. I am normally a size 6, but ordered the 5-5.5 and they fit perfectly. The oiled leather is nice than the synthetic leather. I wish the oil leathered came in as many colors as the synthetic.

These fit larger than the arizonas on me - I'm a size 9 and wear 40 in the Arizona and 39 in the Gizeh shoe. Very comfortable and much better support than most flip flop styled shoes :)

This was my second pair of Gizehs and I'll probably order more. I love these and they are so versatile. They are a little stiff and firm out of the box but molded to my foot within a couple of days. Definitely my go to sandal for the summer.

I absolutely love these shoes! They are super cute and so comfortable. They are pricey, but after owning a pair, they are with it! They will fill really stiff when you first wear them, but don't worry, the more you wear them the more they become molded to your feet.

These are great! I originally ordered a 38, which is what I have in my other Birkenstock but ended up exchanging for a 37. The key to these is to make sure the strap is tightened enough so that your toes don't slam into the post. Put your heel in the heel cup and tighten down the buckle and you will love them!

These shoes are seriously the best! I'm on my third paid. I wear them everywhere, and I do mean e v e r y w h e r e. I've walked miles all across Europe in these and my feet always feel great and I don't feel as underdressed as I always do when I wear sneakers.

This is my second pair of this exact style. I put major miles on my first pair for over five years until they just really fell apart (worn every day for five years). These sandals have amazing support and are the most reliable travel shoe I own. I just bought my second pair and immediately went on vacation and walked for 4-6 hours a day in both city and trail with no issues of blisters and hot spots. I really like how these don't flip or flop when you walk, so they are great in wet conditions and really have the support and function of a full shoe. The foot bed and strap set up are very solid, and I often wear these on mild to moderate hikes without issue.

Love these shoes! I decided to go with the oiled tobacco color but it was hard to pick. They take a little while to break in, especially between the toes but it is worth it.

My favorite new summer sandal. I didn't think I was a Birkenstock girl, but I love these. I wore them while on vacation in DC and walked all day (and night).

I am a repeat birko junkie and absolutely love and live in these shoes. I have weak ankles but love flip flops and these shoes contour so your foot sits securely in the shoe and you don't pitch out of them easily. I love the styling, the fit and that they last so long. I wear them all the time and cry when winter comes and I have to put them away. I would definitely recommend these shoes.

Love, love, love these sandals! I'm a teacher and I have plantar fasciitis, and these sandals are comfortable for walking around my classroom all day. Love!

These are my 2nd pair of this color and style. I have too many Birk's to count and I always come back to the simple black Gizeh. It goes with everything! Best shoe!
