Comfort - I am a nursing student and Respiratory Therapist and am on my feet 12 hours/shift. These shoes are definitely comfortable and I am glad I bought these. I am on the heavier side and have a really bad back and so far, these have eliminated my leg pain.

I originally ordered the size 10 (which has been my true size) but they were too tight and returned for the 10.5. I still don't know how I feel about these shoes. First, The size 10.5 fit perfectly; however, after only about 2 weeks they have stretched quite a bit. This concerns me, as they seem to be wearing fast for the price. I am walking about 15-20 miles per week between sidewalk and dirt/gravel on a nature path. The shoe is comfortable, and I have noticed that I am not getting cramps in my feet and calves like I used to which is a plus, but my feet do sweat a lot as the shoe gets very hot. They are kind of of cumbersome, and remind me of orthopedic shoes, so they are not flattering on my feet. Not sure I will keep them just yet, I will see how they fair this next week.

So disappointed. Brooks is my go to brand for sneakers. I had high hopes for these as an alternative to my Ariels which I love. But this shoe was clunky and narrow at the same time. Too bad. I liked the concept of a black leather sneaker. Returned.

Because of my bunions and arthritis I needed to get a wide shoe and unfortunately Brooks don’t carry as many white as they used to. Not as happy with Brooks as I used to be as another pair that I had gotten started to rip after a couple months where my bunion was. Had to go with these which are les had to go with these which are less attractive as I would like but the toe width is perfect . A little too bulky and heavy . Also the tongue and that area is too high up on the foot and little annoying.

These shoes actually fit my feet well, but they were very stiff and very heavy. I was looking for comfort for my arthritic feet, and unfortunately these are not it. They have the rigidity that I need, but not the cushioning, so back they go. A huge thank you to Zappos for allowing us all to purchase and ship back. They are awesome!

I just wrote to Brooks to ask them to please please please consider producing these in less ugly colors. I've just ordered a pair of Brooks Addiction Walkers and the putty color reminds me of a computer monitor from the 1980s. God in heaven are these ugly. BUT...I need to wear such shoes on the advice of my doctor, so here I am with Yia Yia shoes at 52. Wonder if I can spray paint them...

I really wanted to love these shoes because they had nice arch support but I'm finally giving up and returning them. They are clunky and very uncomfortable. They spent more time in the box than they did on my feet. I was hoping they would stretch out a bit after wearing them more but they were still too tight and made my bunions worse. I'm switching back to New Balance.

I have been a true 6.5 Wide for many years now, and have a bunion on my L foot. (The right bunion removed with surgery) I work as a shopper in a store so I needed some comfortable shoes that would hold up well. The B A Walker was not wide enough, and were very stiff so I could hardly get my foot in them. So I had to call to exchange them for a 6.5WW or EE. This was my 1st experience with Zappos, and I was disappointed; however I was very surprised by the ease of my exchange! I spoke with a friendly helpful man that truly made it a breeze. He said my new pair would be expedited to me free of charge, and my shoes were at my house in less then 24 hours!!! So my review is 1) Not wide enough. 2) very sturdy good support and seem like they will hold up well. 3) I am disappointed in the lack of cushioning in the thick sole, as well as the inner sole. Older feet need more cushioning, so I will try to find something that has the good arch support as well as better padded cushioning to insert in them. If I hadn’t worn them to work I would try exchanging them again. : ( (I had been wearing a Sketchers S7 Wide running shoe for several months that had more cushioning, but weren’t as sturdy)

First of all let me say that I truly love Brooks footwear. They have been great every time I’ve purchased. However, I hated these shoes They are not kind on the eyes. I mean let’s face it, they are hideous. Also, they said they were non slip. They are not at all. I was slipping and sliding everywhere. Not good traction at all. I will say they are said to be comfortable and that they are. They were like pillows on my feet

Well these are absolutely the most flirts shoes I’ve ever owned but they are comfortable. However, if you need non slip shoes DO NOT BUY THESE. They are very slippery and do not have good traction. I love brooks brand shoes, but these were the worst money I’ve ever spent :(

This isn't the shoe for me. I need stability, support, cushioning and room for my bunion. These have all of those but are just too stiff, hot and uncomfortable.

I was born with wide feet and now, after 70 years, also have a bunion to deal with. These shoes got great reviews and were available in double wide, so I thought I'd give them a try although the price was high. I was disappointed. The double wide was too tight. Much narrower than my usual standby shoe - the Saucony Progid Integrity ST2. Also, even though the soles looked cushiony, they were hard as rocks, unlike my Saucony's. Plus, there was no room inside to put simple foam cushion inserts like there is in the Saucony. So, I am returning them and sticking with my Saucony's for walking

The size was right but I found the shoe to be stiffer than I wanted. I kept the New Balance 990v4 instead.

These were not comfortable for my 12 AA feet. My heel slips out of the shoe. I did like that they were all leather so that my big toe wouldn't rub a hole too soon. I realize my feet are huge, but these make my feet look huge.

I wanted to like these! I have a bunion and arthritis; one foot is a half size wider and bigger than the other, so finding shoes that I can wear is tough. I've pretty much given up on cute. These aren't bad looking, but the Bone color had a slight greenish tint. I liked the stiffness that others have complained of - my arthritic feet need stiff shoes! The worst was that the arch support hit me in the wrong spot, it was a little too far back. It might help with plantar fasciitis, thank goodness I cured that with stretching years ago. But I have to return them, they didn't work for my feet. They might for yours though!

These show were recommended to me by my podiatrist for overpronation. I did not even know that I overpronate until I started searching online for for the cause of my big toe calluses, which keep coming back no matter how hard I try to get rid of them (sigh). So, these shoes are supposed to correct the way ma ankles rotate inward as I walk. Now, these shoes are ugly, there is no two ways about it! I wish the toe box were rounded and not pointy. They look like an old lady shoes, but what can I do? Well, there were very tight anyway, so I am returning them for half a size larger and -oh brother—with the Velcro fastening :-(. Since they are already ugly, why not add the convenience of quick fastening? The laces on these were to short anyway and not easy to deal with. Hoping the larger size will work better for me.

The shoes are super comfortable and feel very supportive. However they squeak, right from out of the box they squeak with every step. I was replacing a pair of shoes that started squeaking.

Unfortunately this shoe hasn't worked out for me. I couldn't figure out why my feet and ankles started swelling earlier this year ... this week I decided to switch back to an old pair of New Balance ... no swelling after wearing the NB. After a couple of days using only the NB, my feet are back to normal finally. I had encountered a similar thing with Sketchers in the past ... I don't know what it is, but evidently some shoes must contort my feet so that they swell as well as my ankles. The shoes felt fine while wearing them and do seem to have great support.

Really wish I had returned these but let time lapse. I can only wear athletic shoes due to medical issues & wanted something a little different. Nice looking. Found to be about a half size too big. Worst problem for me is they are very very hot shoes.

I bought these walking shoes because they advertised great support for overpronation. They felt comfortable and roomy in toe box but they lace up TOO high. Where the tongue and upper part of shoe meet, cut into my ankle area. Had to return them since I would have ended up suffering through every walk.

I ordered these because my doctor recommended them for plantar issues. I had these on for about two minutes when I realized they are too ugly to keep. Sorry Doc, I'm 50 something not eighty something! Back they go! I also ordered some Sauconys and I'm keeping those. They're really supportive and look a little less orthotic.

I ordered these because to replace an older pair I had. These shoes fit great and are very comfortable. However, this recent pair I received is more of the "pebble leather" and I don't care for that look. I prefer the smooth look of the leather on my older pair. Unfortunately, these are going back.

This shoe is very well structured. Very good support. But it is big and heavy and felt too stiff and structured for the city walking shoe I’m looking for.
