So far this shoe has not helped my foot at all. I find that it feels very hard with no cushion at all. My foot feels better in by Niki shoes with arch insoles. For $120.00 I feel that I wasted my money. Hope it works better for others.
I'd also recommend:
None, it may or may not work for other people.

This shoe has a nice thick sole through most of the bottom. It was not good for me because I have hallus rigidis and the way the sole thins out at the toe area is murder. If the sole was completely rigid in the toe/ball of foot it would have been good. For me the sole was too flexible.

I wanted to like these shoes but they didn’t fit my feet. Arches felt flat. I need more cushioning for my arthritic feet. Love Zappos!

I need more cushioning. The heels hurt and the arches felt flat to me.

I first purchased the size 7 medium width, which is the size I normally wear. They were extremely comfortable, probably the most comfortable sneaker-type of shoe I've ever worn. The only issue I had was they seemed a bit tight in the width. They were fine when I first put them on, but my feet sometimes swell during the course of the day and I was afraid they would feel too tight. The length seemed fine, so I decided to exchange them for the 7 wide. I called Zappos in the afternoon, I received the new pair the very next day! Couldn't wait to try them on. Unfortunately, I could barely get my foot into it. I actually checked the shoe to see if I was mistakenly sent the wrong size. These were a 7 wide and they felt tighter than the 7 medium! I was very disappointed. I checked each pair and noticed that the first pair were made in Vietnam and the second pair made in China. Don't know if that's the reason or not, but I ended up returning the second pair as well. I'm hesitant to try again so I think I will continue to look.

I purchased these sneakers due to the impressive number of positive reviews. I have plantar fasciitis and need supportive, comfortable walking shoes to be able to get around and complete everyday activities without pain. I found that the side 'collar' came up too high for me on my ankles. Also, the shoes were rather heavy and clunky, making me feel somewhat clumsy when I walked in them. My plantar fasciitis did not respond well at all to wearing them around the house so I had to return them. They seem like a good quality sneaker but unfortunately did not meet my needs at all.

I was looking forward to trying these shoes on after reading the numerous glowing reviews, but they didn't work out for me. I purchased a wide in my usual size, but they were still a bit snug across the widest part of my foot and the heels seemed a bit loose so the backs of the shoes moved up and down annoyingly as I walked. The tongues of the shoes are quite bulky and pressed uncomfortably against my feet after lacing up. Regretfully, I will have to return these in search of a pair that provides the support and comfort I need for my daily excursions.

The right shoe was smaller than the left shoe and my toe kept scraping the inside front of the shoe. It seems as if the workmanship has become less accurate.

I wanted to love this shoe based on reviews but I found the toe box far too narrow - it's a little pointed instead of round, so my toes felt cramped. Otherwise, a nice shoe. I am going to try another Brooks style since I have not had luck with other brands and I have tried a lot. I appreciate that Zappos lets us try different shoes because eventually I always find a winner.

These shoes would probably be fine anywhere BUT food service. They are incredibly slippery! Normally wear Hoka’s which are NOT slip resistant but do not slide like these. My Hokas only last 6 months fir$160 so I was looking for an alternative. I think these would have been comfortable and longer lasting but too slippery to keep.

?I’ve worn these shoes, in black, for over 15 years because 1) they fit my feet 2) they satisfy the specifications my surgeon issued after my ankle replacement: 1" heel rise and flared soles to prevent my foot from rolling. They’re comfortable. And attractive enough for most occasions. However, their holes are too small for the laces to move freely through them. I have to bend down for an inordinate amount of time to get them on and off. The laces are too short, too, and my feet are not at all plump. For several years, I wore the Velcro-closure model because it was painful to bend over long enough to loosen/tighten laces. Although these go on and off much faster, their straps are so short that the exposed Velcro gathers large patches of lint, an unsightly white blemish on an otherwise black shoe. And I don’t like either style’s nylon linings; they make the shoes too warm for hot weather. Please, Brooks, don’t be so stingy with your closures! It shouldn’t be necessary to buy longer laces and pay my repairman punch larger holes.

I brought this shoe because of the reviews and I am a walker. In 2017 I walked 1000 miles in a year. The shoes started nice and strong but after 6-8 month they begin to loose the shape around the heel. Also the support for my FLAT feet were not being support. I had to put in a insert. More money on top of the $120.00. I am looking into another shoe that is more supportive and can handle 1000-2000 a year . Brooks needs more research into making the shoe. Feel free to contact me Zappo or Brooks . Thank you

I thought these were the shoes for my flat, over pronating feet that are healing from plantar fasciitis and Achilles tendonitis but they are not. I could wear them for just a little while then my feet started hurting. They just didn't have enough cushion for me and were too stiff. Oh well.... got to send them back and start again.

They seem to fit well but the tongue and ankle support were so stiff that it would take a lot more than walking around my house to break them in, if they would break in at all.

Brooks is perplexing. They do a good job of making comfortable running shoes for women. That said, their conception of narrow is way off. I ordered the addiction in 12 narrow. The forefoot and toe box are reasonable but the heel is quite wide to the point where my heel slips. Their new Ghost running shoe models are the same--way, way too wide. Not sure where they get their narrow model but it needs some revision. Not sure if I will keep these or not. They are a bit boot-like in their stiffness.

I was looking for shoes to wear while nursing and being on your feet for long shifts. I have high arches, and need a wide toe box due to hallux limitus. These just didn't work for me. The arch support wasn't enough for my high arches and the Vionic sneakers I tried just felt better.

The width of the shoe was correct but the width of the heel was not. Traditionally, at least in my experience, a 2A shoe has a quad A heel and this shoe did not have that. However, I was able to purchase some heel pads and that seems to have solved the problem.

I have hallux limitus and have been wearing this shoe for years. It was always great for walking and for standing long periods, which I need to do in my job. Unfortunately Brooks has changed this shoe. They have padded the tongue so much that even going up a size the shoe is much too tight and stiff. So sad that I can no longer wear my go-to shoes!

I found the outside of the shoe to look more off white with the soles being a stark white--I didn't like that. Also, the size of shoe appears larger. I generally wear NB and wear an 8-1/2 EE and they are fine.

I have been wearing the Brooks Addiction Walker since a shoe salesman sold me a pair in the mid 1990's -- I can't imagine how many pair I have bought in the last 20+ years. Always perfect, always reliable. The last pair I got was small. Have they changed owners, changed the form they build them on, changed something?? I also got my husband his 1st pair about a year ago and he too adored them -- said he never had shoes that comfortable. Just got him another pair & they made his toe bleed. Somethings different and I'm so unhappy that I now have to find a different shoe.

Well made leather sneaker. Trying to find something with great support, breathable and lighter. Not sure it exists.
