I've had this brand and style of shoes before. The last ones I bought from a shoe store and paid more. This time I bought a wider width and they feel good.

The Brooks Addiction Walker fits my wide foot "just right". I'm recovering from bunion surgery, and due to its firm sole and support, this is one of the few shoes in my wardrobe that feels good.

Great shoe. I stand all day as a cashier, shifting from one foot to the other. This shoe gives the support that you need. It also has the motion control so the shoe doesn't lose its shape from leaning towards the outside of your shoe.

I am a nurse, work 10 hour shifts and am always on the lookout for good shoes. I wore these for about six months. They were much more comfortable than my Danskos, which I still love, but need more cush. I have flat, "low volume" kind of feet, narrow shoes don't really work, these in medium width were okay, a little loose across the top. Had they fit better around the top of my foot (just couldn't pull the laces tight enough), they would have been more supportive. Bottom line, I am still looking for the perfect work shoe. These were close.

The shoe is comfortable and maybe a little short. I need wides only because I have bunions. Brooks shoes usually work OK, but his style was fine in the ball but too wide in the ankle.

I like these shoes a lot. These shoes fit my foot better than most and while they will never win awards for slim, styish, they don\'t look like coming off a run. People with food problems or injuries try many shoes. These are my new favorites. They did run a full size small, I had to exchange for a larger size.

I have very hard-to-please feet as far as comfort goes, not to mention being hard to fit (11 or 11.5 4A) so most shoes I order end up getting sent back. I like these shoes as they are comfortable except they are tight around the ankles. The tightness is tolerable for a few hours but not for all day. They are a bit "chunky" but most good walking shoes are.

Comfortable shoe. Brooks usual good quality. For those with severe over pronation, I would wish the heel could be as wide as the heel in the Ariel running shoes. Addiction is wide, but for me the slightly narrower heel is a problem. I would like to see them build a similar shoe in something dressier.

Purchased for mom who works in restaurant business. Very comfortable and able to be on her feet for hours. However they did not work out. Very slippery on slick surfaces where she works and even though Brooks claims to help against slippage. I found that the \r\nNew Balance: WW631 work great. Similar style of shoe and their traction on slippery surfaces is much better than this model.

Seems like a well made shoe, runs very, very narrow. I bought the medium and it\'s still too narrow for my fairly normal feet. Even with it being narrow, there was still room for the heel to rub up and down, which would cause blisters pretty quickly. Not the right shoe for my feet, but probably perfect for folks with narrow feet.

Very supportive shoe. I wear with an orthotic insert, which is easily accommodated. The shoe is so supportive that it is somewhat stiff. These shoes are not attractive or stylish, but they are very comfortable and supportive. I have problem feet and these are go to shoes if I have to be on my feet for any length of time.

I absolutely love these shoes. They are true to width and size. they are majorly comfortable. I only wish they lasted longer than five or six months. I do wear them everyday, though. After about five months, the fabric starts peeling up where the back of my ankle rubs the inside of the shoe. The insoles are not very supportive, but it doesn't matter to me, because I took out the insoles and use my custom orthodics in these shoes. They are very roomy and great if you have orthodics.

I had tried the Addiction Walker before and it did not work for me. Since this was a new version, I gave it another try because I like the Brooks brand. I am so glad I did. There was very little break in for me. Good room in the toe box for my arthritic feet, and cushioning for the neuroma I have. The heel is not sloppy, even for a 2EE. Plenty of room for my orthotics. Keep up the good work Zappos. I have had to return so many shoes because of my foot problems with never a problem. No shoe will ever be perfect for me, but these are close.

This shoe works pretty well for me when it comes to minimizing pronation. I would like it better if the inside sole were less hard and more padded. The style is OK. I would not chose to wear this style as much as I have to if I didn't have the pronation issue going on. I would like to know other brands which help with pronation but which are better padded.

Excellent shoe; roomy toe box, fits true to size. Leather uppers Allow foot to breathe, but provide warmth, and the soles provide traction even in snow. I wear these shoes almost constantly as they are also suitable for my orthotics. The price is steep; I've never before paid so much for a pair of shoes, but I can't find them cheaper elsewhere, and they're the only shoe that fits. Just wish they'd design some dress shoes with same "fit" features!

This is my second pair: I really am addicted to these for my morning walks. I fight a continuing battle with plantar fasciitis, and Brooks Addiction really helps keep flare-ups away!

The Brooks Addiction Walker is a very comfortable shoe even if not attractive. They are supportive as I walk 4-6 miles a day even in the snow and ice (with treads). I recommend this shoe for serious walkers.

The shoe was comfortable from the beginning. My orthotic fit perfectly and it gives the support my foot needs. They look fine. They are just plain black shoes.

Comfort -
I am a nursing student and Respiratory Therapist and am on my feet 12 hours/shift. These shoes are definitely comfortable and I am glad I bought these. I am on the heavier side and have a really bad back and so far, these have eliminated my leg pain.

I originally ordered the size 10 (which has been my true size) but they were too tight and returned for the 10.5. I still don't know how I feel about these shoes. First, The size 10.5 fit perfectly; however, after only about 2 weeks they have stretched quite a bit. This concerns me, as they seem to be wearing fast for the price. I am walking about 15-20 miles per week between sidewalk and dirt/gravel on a nature path. The shoe is comfortable, and I have noticed that I am not getting cramps in my feet and calves like I used to which is a plus, but my feet do sweat a lot as the shoe gets very hot. They are kind of of cumbersome, and remind me of orthopedic shoes, so they are not flattering on my feet. Not sure I will keep them just yet, I will see how they fair this next week.

So disappointed. Brooks is my go to brand for sneakers. I had high hopes for these as an alternative to my Ariels which I love.
But this shoe was clunky and narrow at the same time. Too bad. I liked the concept of a black leather sneaker.
Returned.

Because of my bunions and arthritis I needed to get a wide shoe and unfortunately Brooks don’t carry as many white as they used to. Not as happy with Brooks as I used to be as another pair that I had gotten started to rip after a couple months where my bunion was. Had to go with these which are les had to go with these which are less attractive as I would like but the toe width is perfect . A little too bulky and heavy . Also the tongue and that area is too high up on the foot and little annoying.

These shoes actually fit my feet well, but they were very stiff and very heavy. I was looking for comfort for my arthritic feet, and unfortunately these are not it. They have the rigidity that I need, but not the cushioning, so back they go. A huge thank you to Zappos for allowing us all to purchase and ship back. They are awesome!

I just wrote to Brooks to ask them to please please please consider producing these in less ugly colors.
I've just ordered a pair of Brooks Addiction Walkers and the putty color reminds me of a computer monitor from the 1980s. God in heaven are these ugly. BUT...I need to wear such shoes on the advice of my doctor, so here I am with Yia Yia shoes at 52. Wonder if I can spray paint them...
