These are the first shoes I've ever bought since I turned 40 that felt good the first time I tried them on. I'm used to having my feet squished even when I order double wides. They feel like heaven! Not only that, they provide such good arch support that I don't have to wear orthotics with them. I need orthotics because my feet pronate but orthotics make your shoes feel tighter and are really uncomfortable when your feet swell. My feet and toes don't get hot and burn anymore either. My only complaint is that they look like old lady shoes. The shoe industry have no mercy on people who wear wide widths. I am going to jazz them up by buying some five foot long hot pink shoe laces.

This is the best Walking shoe I have owned. I am an Esthetician who stands many hours a day and my work day includes loads of walking. I feel this shoe is idea for both walking and standing which is hard to find. The sole is thick and the arch support is perfect.I bought them in white and plan to buy the same shoe in black. I even told my Husband that he should buy a pair for walking. This shoe is a great investment for your feet and for outstanding comfort. I also think this would be a fantastic shoe for travel.

I am preparing to order my umpteenth pair of these shoes. They are very comfortable out of the box but lately I have been disappointed in the quality of the shoe. I don't know if Brooks or the manufacturer changed but the leather stretches out fast and the sole loses support, after about 2 months the shoes or very uncomfortable. I have edema so I can't tie the shoes tighter without causing swelling and pain in my ankles. I continue to order them because for the first 2 months I find them to be very comfortable. I would recommend them to other people but if you're older with health issues be prepared to order often. I would and do recommend Zappos to friends, the customer service is beyond compare. Zappos knows how to run a business.

These are my third pair of Addiction walkers!! I love them. I need a wide toe box and these have it. Why mess with a good thing?

I bought these because of the other reviews saying that were great for plantar fasciitis and they were so right. Most comfortable sneakers I have ever purchased.

Very nice shoe, but I had to return them because I have flat feet and they hurt my arches. The heal was nice and snug compared to the NB 928 walker.

I use these with my own custom made orthopedics and my walking comfort has improved with better times and distances. I will not buy another type of walking shoe again...I found the one that works for me!

These shoes were actually wide enough, no irritation at the ball of the foot. Comfortable otherwise, too. When putting my full weight down on my foot, the widest part measures 9 1/2". It would be nice to see on the advert, that this width comfortably accommodates a 9 1/2" ball of the foot.

My niece. who manages fitness centers. recommended Brooks. I love these shoes. No break in period. I can wear them all day. Little hard to get on at first. You need to open up the laces.

I love this Brooks Addiction Walker in the bone color. It offers great support, has a good enough arch, and accommodates my orthodic inserts. Also, it blends in to the point of not being visible. I can wear it with any color outfit and it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb. I have a problem with pronation and this shoe allows me to walk pain free.

This shoe is exactly what the information says it says it is, a good walking shoe. I wear them to work on concrete floors and they save my knees and back like no other. No leg fatigue at the end of the day. I have big feet, so they'd probably look cuter on someone with small feet, but they are comfortable, make no doubt about that! I would recommend them to anyone with leg or back or knee pain especially.

This is my third pair of Addiction Walkers, and the first in leather. I ordered in wide and my custom orthotics (which are pretty deep) fit well and I feel totally secure when walking.

Shoes are super comfortable. Good support and can walk in these shoes all day without any soreness in my feet or knees. My feet are picky and when I wear shoes that have no support, I end of having knee pain. This shoe is great to work in all day as well. I highly recommend this shoe.

If your ankles turn inward, this is the shoe for you. The steel bars help hold your feet straight and you walk better, have no pain because they fit your feet. I love these shoes and it is all I wear - even to church. I highly recommend them.

I love my Brooks Addiction Walker shoes. In fact I will be ordering a black pair very soon. They took less than 48 hours to get used to. My energy increased because my feet didn't hurt any more. I wear a ridgy brace inside one of my shoes and it accommodates it very well.

Love these shoes! This is my third pair. It's my go to walking shoe for about the last 10 years. The white shoes seem to fit better than the black - the black were a tad small for some reason.

They are awesome. Both men and women Brooks feel great. The support is great but the price is quite high and were not at a discount or on sale.

I struggled to find a comfortable walking shoe, for my hard to fit foot, to wear with black pants. I had to choose comfort over cute and this is the shoe. Brooks Addiction has been my athletic shoe of choice for many years because of the needed stability they provide my feet, and this style does the same. Thanks to Zappos I was able to order and return several options before going back to my tried and true brand.

Love this shoe. No more foot pain. Walking outdoors again. Roomy toe box and size 11-1/2 fits perfect. Have not been able to find the half-size which is what I need. First pair of Brooks brand.

When I read such good reviews I thought "wouldn't it be nice if it were true". And, it WAS true. I have to wear large orthotics and have never had any shoes that didn't take at least a month to adjust/break in. These have been perfect from the day I got them. I won't buy anything else.

My cousin, Cindy, had recommended zappos. She recommended the addiction walkers. Working at a grocery store, on a hard cement floor, cashiering all day long, my feet were literally killing me! I got to the point where I thought I'd have to quit because of the damage being done to my feet. I would come home and soak them they were in so much pain. Well, when I got my addiction walkers, the difference they made was unbelievable! I even wear them to my other job! They were so comfortable! I didn't want to take them off! They were THAT comfortable. Prior to wearing them, my feet were swollen on top and by the toes. I was in a great deal of pain. When I ordered them, and Zappos gave me (free) next day delivery, I was thrilled. I know I will buy another pair, but I am so very grateful for my cousin, Cindy and sharing these great shoes. I would have never heard of them! I wish some of the younger kids at work would invest in a pair, I worry about them when they get older. The most comfortable shoes I HAVE EVER HAD!! Thank you!! I hope I HAVE helped someone else, the way my cousin helped me, cause it truly was a saving grace. I couldn't work at the grocery store without them.

Excellent shoe for walking. I have a very narrow foot. I ordered 9 1/2 Narrow and these are so comfortable. They also allow me to use my custom orthopedic insert.

I am a first time customer for Brooks Addiction Walker. It is an excellent walking shoe and very comfortable. The shoe is a little heavy for everyday use. I am pleased with my purchase.

I cannot say enough good things about these shoes. This is my second pair, because I liked the first pair so much. They are comfortable and roomy in the toe, with lots of support; they accommodate and complement my orthotics perfectly. Yeah, they're ugly; so what?
