Love these shoes! My heels still hurt after awhile at the hospital but I just started up again so I think its more of getting used to being on my feet and not the shoes. These support my arches and ankles and I love the way they look with the scrubs they remind me of cheerleading shoes. Great purchase.

I have just returned to the Brooks Addiction Walker after using New Balance 1012's for last couple of years (I stocked up on them when I knew they were changing the design). When Brooks changed this shoe a couple of years ago it was too narrow in the toe box for me so I went over to New Balance's 1012. However, New Balance changed their 1012 to the 1340 (two versions have since come out of the 1340 as they are saying they are getting back to the much loved support of the 1012, which they haven't succeeding in doing yet, in my opinion). The first version of the 1340 was too narrow in the toe box for me, and the second version which has just come out, while having the wider toe box didn't have the support I needed on the bottom of the shoe. The bottom of my feet were sore after an hour of wearing them so back they went. So, I have returned to this shoe, but went from my usual medium width to the wide width, and while not as good fitting as prior to them changing the shoe a couple of years ago, it seems like it will work for me. I have flat feet and sever over- pronation so finding a good shoe is difficult for me as I have also had several foot surgeries. Think I will try out Brook's Ariel as living in Texas my feet will probably get hot in these all leather shoes. Will keep these for cooler weather, and walking on the beach when on vacation where sand gets into a mesh upper shoe and can drive you crazy, and until I can find a good mesh upper shoe that works for me when weather is hot. Tried Omni Saucony and other styles of New Balance, but looks like I'll be coming back to Brooks. Since I'm overweight and have pronation problems I need a good shoe under my feet. Also helps a lot with my lower back pain, hip pain, and neck pain as I've had 6 back surgeries. One's entire spine needs to be aligned correctly to take pressure off of it and watching one's posture is a must! Is not a cheap shoe but is worth it to feel better and have less pain.

I love these shoes and they are even more comfortable and supportive than my long-time SAS shoes. They are wide wide enough to not pinch in WW. And they are wider than WW in Propet. Though they are not pretty, they really help my poor feet that have so many problems.

As a chronic sufferer of osteoarthritis who has already had 3 surgeries in one foot and faces 3 more fusions in my foot within the next year, comfort and function is paramount. Brooks sneakers are the only sneakers that I wear; the cushioning and arch support are fantastic compared to others on the market. My orthopedic, doctor-prescribed carbon stability sole fits seamlessly under the footpad of my right foot, and I can walk in these sneakers all day! Thank you, Brooks, for helping me walk well, especially after surgery!

I was looking for a walking shoe that had some moisture resistance as I often hit patches of dewy grass on my walk. I had already purchased some Brooks Addiction 11 with mesh that were great for hot city walks. But I wanted something more for pasture walks (I live in the country) so figured stick with Brooks. I was not disappointed. These leather shoes are perfect for my use and I wipe them off when I return from my walk and they look good as new. I live in the country in rugged terrain and I know these are probably designed for walking city streets and paths but they do a respectable job cross country as well. Furthermore I can continue wearing them all day as they are more like shoes than specialized athletic footwear. So for me a good all around choice! I want to thank Zappos for their excellent inventory, customer service, free shipping back and forth to help us find the perfect footwear.

I need a lot of support, and these shoes give it to me. I've been wearing them for years. Best part: They have narrow heels, which I definitely need. Zappos gives the best service!

I spent a lot of time researching the best walking shoes for my feet. I was directed to Brooks Addiction and I am extremely satisfied with this shoe! It is one of the best walking shoes I have ever purchased. It is a very stable shoe that fits well, is well-designed for comfort, and is easy to walk and wear without fear of blisters. I am addicted!

I bought these for a trip that required extensive walking in a hot climate and with uneven terrain. They provided the comfort and support I needed. I have narrow feet and appreciated the 2A width. Like most athletic shoes, I found that these required a size larger than normal size for best fit.

Very pleased with these walking shoes. It is very hard to find a women's shoe that is wide enough. The EE width is perfect!

This is the second pair of Brooks Addiction Walker that I bought. Now I have one in white and one in black. They are super comfortable. After reading other reviews, I bought a half size larger that my New Balance shoes and they feel great.

Thanks to the Brooks Addictive Walker, I am a walker again - after ten years of almost giving up. In May, I walked all over Europe, never feeling fatigue, pain or the stones. I felt stable - I climbed over rocks. I have neuropathy and arthritis in my very narrow feet. I say, It's the last and the structure of the Brooks Addictive Walker that makes it a good fit, not just the thick sole. Other shoes offer the illusion of comfort with thick soles, and do work for the more fortunate people, but are a waste of money for the tender difficult foot. Too bad they're so ugly, but I'm so comfortable that I no longer notice.

A great walking shoe! After suffering with plantar fasciitis and bunions, I am extremely careful about what I put on my feet these days. These shoes have good arch support and foot cushioning, as well as a big toe box for comfort. These, like all Brooks shoes, run a half size small, so order the next size up. Also,wear them a few times to loosen their initial stiffness. They will mold around your feet and be excellent shoes!

I love these shoes that are aptly named, "Addiction Walkers." For years, I wore New Balance, but found that my shoe had been discontinued. I've ordered 5-6 pairs of shoes (after carefully reading shoe specs and reviews), but no other brand even came close to the comfort of these shoes. I'm 61, overweight, have large bunions, over pronation and arthritis in my left foot and ankle. The Brooks Addiction Walkers are comfortable with no break in period and give me excellent support and balance. Other than feeling a bit clunky, I love them. I own the bone color and will be ordering my second pair. If you have problems with your feet, try these shoes! Your feet will thank you!

This is the fifth pair of these shoes I have bought over the last many years. They are perfect if you wear orthotics because the Brooks footbed pulls out and your orthotics fit right in. Also, they are available in EE width. These are the most comfortable shoes I own, and the sole lasts a long time. I heartily recommend them.

Brooks Walker fit great. Had to order 2 sizes -- unfamiliar with brand. Best part was Zappos communication -- fantastic! Received e-mail communications on #1 Original Order, #2 on the request to return 1 pair, #3 that the returned pair was received, #4 that my credit would be processed. My credit was processed in one week! That's what I call service!

These shoes were really comfortable. They ran small though. I almost always wear a 7 and I had to move up to a 7.5. The 7.5's felt wonderful. I plan on using them for travel. I'm wearing black pants mainly on the trip so my tennis shoes would work. I needed very comfortable walking shoes. If you are ultra fashion conscious, a little word of warning. These look a little odd because they have such a tall base compared to most shoes but not so bad that I would feel dorky wearing them.

Most comfortable walking shoes I have ever had! I have wide feet and a high arch so these shoes were a perfect match. Arrived at my doorstep a couple of days after I ordered them.

I finally found a shoe that has support for my feet and legs. I do a lot of walking and standing on my job and from the box they worked quite well. They are a little heavy and clunky but overall I am quite satisfied with no more tired feet. I usually get a 1/2 size larger and they worked out quite well for an insert.

These shoes were recommended by my Podiatrist several years ago. I continue to wear this style for my daily walks. I can use my prescription insoles and they give good support. I recommend them if you are a 'walker'.

Most comfortable, supportive sneakers I've ever purchased. Tore my meniscus and needed a stable shoe. However, they are not exceptionally attractive and make my 7.5M feet look very wide and stubby. Must say that the comfort and support trump the looks.

Very nice shoes. I need maximum support with custom made orthotic inserts and these do provide that. Would buy again.
