Great shoe! First time I have tried the Addiction. It is well named! Comfortable right out of the box. I have worn Spira for years...and the quality has gone down. I'll stick with Addiction from now on.

Love these shoes! Suffering with plantar fasciitis, I'm always looking for good shoes to wear while on my feet all day. I was an avid New Balance fan but others suggested these Brooks Addiction Walkers might be a good alternative. Other than being snug across top for the first few days, I've not had any discomfort. The fit is good, the support is great. I highly recommend these shoes.

These shoes are the'only' shoes I can put on and wear all day at work, with absolutely no discomfort. I'm on my 3rd pair. I will replace with the same shoe again when needed.

Love these shoes. My recent purchase represents my 6th pair (I like to replace every 10 months or so, to keep the excellent support going strong). Because of the firm support and stabilizing factors, I opt not to wear my orthotic (but the shoe readily accommodates it). Comfy, not too hot for summer, and love the go everywhere black. (Cleans up easily with a damp cloth).

Just got these yesterday. I love the clunkiness of them that everyone else seems to not like. They are a very nice, soft leather, and so far they are comfy right out of the box. The only thing I don't like is that they aren't a true white. I think I can live with that. I got my regular size and they fit perfectly.

I have very, very flat feet and pronation is off the charts. These shoes are great! I do use orthotics with them, but the support in keeping my feet, ankles and knees in line is perfect!

I am on my feet all day. I have back issues and these are the best shoes I've found to get me through the day. I've tried many brands over the years and always go back to these. This will be my 3 rd pair. My feet are wide and have a high instep.

My orthotist recommended these shoes as being the best for my feet. I wear a custom insert so the removable liner is a must. Very comfortable shoes. Yes they are tennis shoes...but stylish as tennis shoes can be. I am on my 4th pair and will continue to buy them.

Buying my third pair! Work as a veterinarian with constant up and down from the floor and lots of lifting from the floor. Stand, walk and squat at least 10 hours a day on ceramic tile over concrete. I have worn these with and without orthotics (support is that good). These shoes not only offer excellent support and excellent comfort but do not break down/lose shape the way that shoes with non-leather uppers do (especially valuable if you pronate a lot or put other excess force on your shoes). These last and provide support twice as long as sneakers with "softer" material/mesh uppers do. The soles also hold up very well.

I bought these on recommendation from my podiatrist for a trip to Italy. They look totally frumpy (black was worse) but they felt like putting my feet in a hug. I wore them everywhere. I still wear them and don't care what I look like because they are so comfortable. I'm going to buy a black pair for work this winter (I have a casual job). I even pass up more stylish shoes in my closet to wear these.

These are great shoes! They are perfect for home and travel since they are built like a "tennis shoe" but look much more "stately." They are so comfortable that I can wear them all day and not think about them. (We just returned from a week in NYC, and I wore them all day, every day.)

Wonderful! Please continue to sell my size, color and style. I use orthotics and these shoes are the answer to my prayers. Only shoes I wear! My 5th pair!

I am a pharmacist and work 11 hour shifts totally on my feet. I ordered these in the wide width and they are perfect. My feet and legs aren't bothering me like they had been. They have plenty of extra space. I don't have much of an arch and the support in these works very well for me.

I am so delighted with the Brooks Walkers I ordered. I have put off buying shoes for so long due to foot problems but now I have total comfort. I got a wide in a 9 and they were perfect. I will be ordering more shoes now. Thank you with a smile.

Almost returned these, not too pretty to look at, but once I put then, I couldn't take them off, they were that comfortable and supportive. Keepers for sure!

I ordered these shoes and some Birkenstocks from Zappos, first time I ever placed an order with them. The Brooks walkers are fabulous - great support, great cushion. I have flat feet, have broken my ankles a few times, and really need the support. These were a great choice.

I love these shoes! My foot is narrow and I always have a hard time finding athletic shoes narrow enough for a 6.5 foot...these work beautifully! There is no heel slippage (which I seem to have problems with), so I highly recommend these if you need a narrow sneaker. One caveat...they aren't the most attractive, but I'm willing to overlook that for comfort!

I am in love! I have the Addiction running shoes which I use for walking, but wanted a good walking shoe for casual, non exercise use. These are heavenly! Love the beige (bone) color; a bit more feminine than the black and warmer than the white. The support is great and the leather is soft and supple, even right out of the box.

I read many of the reviews for this shoe before placing my 1st order. Had to exchange 8.5 Reg for 8.5 Wide wide as recommended in the reviews. I live in these fantastic, comfortable shoes and by now have three pair. I have several issues that until now prevented me from walking any significant distance or standing on my feet for very long. These shoes have given me a whole new sense of well being and put me back in the game of "using it or losing it."

These shoes are just THE best for long, long distance walking when you don't want to wear regular athletic shoes; the kind with the mesh and the colors and the swoops and swishes. Black leather mostly disappears so you can be out all day on your feet but then keep the shoes on to go to the theater or out to dinner or other things where you might not want to wear normal athletic shoes. The incredible support comes with some trade-offs of course: The shoes are substantial with a blocky-looking foot bed, but if you want *this* level of support for your feet then you get it by having a shoe with a lot of structure. I've worn this shoe while traveling and walked miles and miles and miles, and my middle aged feet held up over the day much better than my 20-something kids' feet. Very highly recommend this shoe for anyone looking for maximum support in a non-gym-looking shoe. Quality of the leather is really high too.

I have only worn New Balance and a specific shoe for last 15 years. I decided to try this one because of reviews. I love it. It is not as heavy of a shoe as New Balance was so I like that. It still has the roller bar and is a more attractive shoe. If you wear a thicker sock, it may feel just a little snug - I may decide to order this in a wider width next time - however - if I wear a regular not cushioned sock or padded (I am diabetic) it is perfectly fine. I really do love walking in these shoes - who knew there was life after New Balance!

This is my 3rd pair of Addiction walkers and they feel as though they were made for my short, wide foot with bunions. My orthotics fit well and, for a comfort shoe they are not bad looking. Hope you keep offering them!

With a multitude of chronic problems in each foot, these shoes are one of the few that feel comfortable. They are a bit heavy. They are orthotic adaptable.

I love these shoes. They are so comfortable right out of the box! I wear custom orthotics and these fit nicely in them, although I did have to cut the back half of the sole insert so my orthotics would fit better (otherwise my heel felt like it was coming out of the shoe). I only gave it 4 stars on looks because it does look like an old person shoe, but I buy for comfort these days instead of looks so I don't mind too much. I normally wear an 11 but had to get 10 1/2 narrow with these. I will definitely buy again. Just wish it wasn't so expensive.

I also have worn these shoes for over 10 years. I have had a variety of jobs. For 8 years I wore these on pavement. Other does wore out in a couple of months. These lasted over a year. I am now a cook. Fast pace on a tile floor. I have flat feet that pronate. All pain that I had previously with other shoes in feet, ankles, knees and back disappeared. I recently tried Klogs, really wanted something more attractive. Tried wearing them around the house - couldn't stand it. Not enough cushioning. Back to my Brooks.
