I have purchased 3 pairs of these shoes - only ones I can wear with my plantar fasciitis. This pair is not the same! What did you do to this shoe Brooks? Hurts my feet; feels like outer part of sole built up pushing arch in. More narrow than previous pair. I am so disappointed now I don't know what to do?

I've been buying Brooks Addictions for years in both this black leather walker as well as the more traditional running shoe. I love Brooks and I particularly like this style of shoe. I wear a 9 wide and have worn that size for a while. So, I ordered this new pair in the same size as those I had before. I immediately started wearing the shoe expecting the leather to stretch and adapt to my foot. But, that didn't happen. In fact, I often had to take the shoes off after an hour or so because my feet would ache when I wore them. I dug out my previous pair and compared them sole to sole to the new ones. The new ones (same size and width as the old) are easily an inch shorter and a half inch narrower. There is also less height over the instep. Of course, now that I've worn them, I'm stuck with these too-small shoes - I'll put them in my donation bag. But, I really do like the style - excellent support and very durable for walking - so I'll reorder a newer pair in a half size up and hope that they work.

I bought these shoes for work because of the great reviews that I read on this site. I wore them to work for a week and my ankles were killing me so the next weekend I bought the Dr. Schol's inserts and wore them another week. That didn't help. For me, I think these shoes were too heavy and not pliable, cushiony or did not have enough give on the bottom sole. The bottoms of my feet were sore everyday. They seem to be made very well but were not comfortable for a job all day on my feet.

Brooks has changed the style of its Addiction Walker. The change is a quantum leap backwards. I have worn nothing but the Brooks Walker for the last 12-15 years. This is not the same shoe.

Very disappointed. I usually take a size 6 because of the comments I ordered a size 7 extra wide. The shoe is so tight and small. Am returning it ASAP!

Very uncomfortable. I work retail and I am on my feet for 8 to 10 hours a day. After reading the reviews these appeared to be just what I was looking for in a shoe. Boy was I disappointed. The insole is thin foam very little support and no cushion. The foot bed underneath is as hard as a cement floor. I even tried Spenco Insoles, which are great in my New Balance shoes, and still they hurt my feet. I can't wear these and I can't return them now. A terrible waste of money. If you buy them check them carefully before keeping them.

Loved, loved, loved the original Addition Walker shoe. Purchased three pair successfully over time. They are comfortable, wear well, and fit when the wearer gets the lacing correct. Looked to replace my most recent pair and was disappointed to find they are discontinued

Very comfortable. It feels like walking on air. This is my second pair of Addiction walkers. I haven't worn out the first pair yet, but I bought another in case the Addiction is not available when the first pair is worn out.

I found the shoe to be very comfortable straight from the box. They accommodated my orthotics easily and I went on a 3 mile walk the day they arrived, I walk on pavement which hard on joints but these shoes offer lots of support and cushioning. I will be buying another pair when I retire these. They do squeak a little but that doesn't bother me. Fashion forward colors would be fun.

Please get it in the stock Need 7.5 W Best work shoe I ever owned, past 12 years. The new walking shoe is just ok. I wont be ordering again on those. I go through 4 pairs a year but my feet need the cushion and support. I average 8 to 10 miles a day at work five days a week.

Great shoe, good fit and price! My wife loves them. We bought two pairs, plus a pair in black. Brooks are the shoes we need for our narrow feet.

I had severe plantar fasciitis, and I have especially wide feet that were getting more painful from having the right sneakers to fit my arch-support insoles in without jamming my bones. I kept trying and returning other brands and this was finally the right fit. The extra wide option saved my feet. My inserts fit inside these sneakers and there?s still enough room for my feet - both in height and width. I?m so grateful for these because they allowed me to start walking again, and my plantar fasciitis is worlds better. My feet didn?t start healing until I started wearing these, so I wanted to write this review in case anyone has the same issue and can?t find relief. I don?t normally buy expensive shoes (these are about triple my budget for a pair of shoes) but they?re well worth it.

These were purchased for nursing school clinicals. They meet the required criteria and my feet are not hurting at the end of a very long day.

These shoes are very comfortable. I walk about 6 miles a day and need extra support as I am recovering from multiple leg injuries. With these shoes I am back to normal walking with no discomfort. I don?t run, but I am a very fast walker and I love the stability and comfort of these shoes.

I have had a pair of these in white for my job as a nurse and I no longer suffer foot pain. Now I have this pair for everyday getting around and I am hooked. I like being able to get a 2E width.

I have been wearing Brooks Addiction walkers for the past 2 years .I walk/stand on concrete 10+ hrs a day at work. I couldn't do it without these shoes. They make my day bareable! They are true to size, have ample toe room, and are very affordable.
