These shoes have a hard footbed. I found them very uncomfortable. However, they did have excellent arch support. If you are used to a hard footbed (Dansko original nursing clogs), you would probably be happy. If you are looking for cushioned comfort, you will not be too happy. I returned them and am checking out Asics Gels instead.

This shoe had too much arch support for me which tends to re-activate my old plantar fascia. There isn't enough cushion in the heel also, though it looks like there would be. So if you need arch support this is a nice shoe. I usually only wear easy spirit Anti-Gravity but they don't have any available in All black.

Light shoes, do not need breaking in periods. Not enough arch support for me, I have to remove inserts and put ones with better arch support. After that I love the shoes. And will buy them again!

I wear this shoe because I have to. I had a bad break in my foot that required surgery and therapy. I will probably never be able to wear the pretty, fashionable shoes that I have always loved. These shoes seem to be true to the stated width, but I think that a little narrower would be better. Unfortunately they don't come narrower.

Ugliest shoes, but great for walking and being on your feet. They are what my podiatrist recommended for my ailing feet.

Kind of clunky looking but super comfortable sneaker style walker. Great if you need a wider and higher toe-box while keeping the heel from slipping. They feel better than anything I own but wish they had a bit more style.

I've been looking everywhere for a truly extra wide shoe and was hopeful that I'd found one. I wore these around the house for about 4 hours and could tell that there was still not enough room in the toe box, which was disappointing because as soon as I put it on the arch support felt great.

I had surgery for Mortons neuroma. I work in retail and I am on my feet 6 to 8 hours a day I tried many shoes after the surgery and experienced a lot of pain. These shoes have been great. I wish they were a bit more stylish but I will gladly do with out the cute factor to be pain free all day.

Fits well, very comfortable, but slightly frumpy looking and not the most stylish thing in your shoe rack. Still, overall worth it for how good your feet feel in them.

I have bought Brooks Addiction Walker for years and given many reviews rating them as excellent but suddenly they don't seem to be of the same quality as in the past. I don't know if its because they have changed manufacturers. I am trying to buy more made in USA products so I will buy New Balance next time.

Brooks Addiction Walker W 08 - I was very pleased with the purchase of these shoes. They are very comfortable and the roll-bar really keeps my feet and knees in alignment. My feet do not hurt after hours and hours on them. I do wish that the toe length was just a bit longer, especially for those of us that have long toes, but a size 11 instep. They are very foot friendly and an improvement from the regular Addiction Walker.

Good Walking Shoe - I tried several pair of New Balance with no luck. I have a wide foot with high arches and a high instep and tend to supinate (under-pronate). Even though this shoe is supposed to be designed for flat feet, pronators with low arches, they are very comfortable and my feet are balanced in them. They are a little stiff and for a few days I had to keep re-tying them to find the right fit for my high instep, but now they are broken in. Considering how many pair of shoes I returned back to Zappos - I am impressed. I usually wear a 7 wide but needed a 7.5 wide with this shoe.

Great comfort but short on looks - The shoes are comfortable and fit the orthotic brace I have to wear. They are not the greatest on looks but they are very comfortable to wear.

Good basic walking shoe - It is the best one I found. I have a rather square foot and even these are a bit narrow in the toe but they are comfortable. I would like even more arch support. I have very high arches but again it is OK.

Good shoe, a little stiff - Really do like the shoe, was suggested to buy a half size larger than usual, did that, and it fits perfectly. Love the amount of support I get from it! My only complaint is that it's a little stiff, but hopefully that will change as I break them in a little more.

Ordered a half size larger than my usual. Not as much arch support as I expected. Still comfortable.

LKB - I ordered this shoe to try to help my aching feet from walking on cement all day at work. They are wonderful! I have tried so many brands and types of shoes and never had any good results until I got these shoes. The only downside would be they aren’t the most attractive shoe (I got the tan color), but the comfort and support are worth the little slide on looks! I have no pain at all in my feet since I started wearing these shoes. It's been years since I could say that. Buy them!

This shoe is very good for overpronators, but it (of course) lacks the flexibility and support of a standard walking shoe. If what you need is a serious stabilizing shoe, this is a great choice. It is as unattractive as shoes get, though.

Brooks Addiction first time buyer - The shoes are comfortable. Unfortunately I have developed plantar fasciitis (no connection to the fit of the shoe). I'm glad my orthotics fit well in the shoes.

I have been buying these shoes for years. They are the only shoes I can walk in for miles and not have any problems with my arthritic feet. I noticed that they were on sale for $99 last month. I knew right away that this meant Brooks is coming out with a new style. I haven't bought the new style yet, however I bought a pair for $99 because I figured if they have been good for so long I better get another pair before the new ones come out. BEWARE!!!! These are smaller in size than the previous shoe! They do not fit as well and there is a noticeable difference. That leads me to believe that the new Brooks Addiction Walker will be the same and not as good as the original. For the life of me, I do not understand why these shoe companies continually try to "reinvent the wheel". I gather its all about making more money no matter how cheap the product they are producing is. Pretty depressing for someone who has problem feet. The availability of a decent shoe is rapidly declining.

Just not my shoe...how can such a popular necessary shoe be so, well, dull! Felt ok and might do what I need for long walks but I lost my heart to some red ones!

If this is the type of shoe you need, it would rate 5 stars. It isn't what I need. This is a shoe if you need a lot of support and stability, no flexibility. For me, this shoe is like putting my foot into a stiff box....like a brick. And it's not easy to get on. It just feels very restrictive, but I am pretty much a neutral walker/jogger. The amount of control this shoe provides is just not comfortable for me. It reminds me of a shoe Frankenstein might wear.....rigid, blocky. Obviously, it works for a lot of people, reviews are great. I'll bet I know where Frankenstein buys his shoes. Zappos rules!

I am a huge Brooks fan, so I bought these for my mom. She has a bad everything (back, knees, legs, feet) and sadly huge bunions, too. I thought these would be the answer to her woes and sadly they were not. She felt like the toe area was very stiff. I have to agree with her. Back they go, I will continue to try again for dear old Ma.

I was disappointed in the comfort level of the shoe. I am on my feet at work for most of the day and my feet and lower back were aching by the time I got home each day.

Bought these for my 12+ hour shifts as a nurse. I was previously wearing Nike running shoes but my feet would start aching midway through the day so I knew I needed something else. Decided to try walking shoes, and decided on these after trying both these and some Asiscs. The ache has been reduced drastically, but there's still no cure for 3 12/hr shifts in a row! They have very little cushioning so I bought some inserts which just made them smaller. They are the opposite of fashionable but that was not my first priority. Overall they are better than the running shoes for work.
