These are wonderful shoes that my son keeps choosing over other shoes. They keep their shape, are very durable, and look always clean as well.

My son is 11 and in a 5-5 1/2 shoe, so I have no idea if this style will be an option for him next year if Keen is still making it. That saddens me. My son absolutely loves these shoes. They're comfortable. They fit him well and give him support. They're extremely rugged and practical cold weather shoes when his snow boots would be too big and clunky-like for regular wear to and from school, but when there is ice and low levels of snow on the ground. They provide more traction and protection than sneakers, so they're somewhere in between boots and sneakers, hence my son has dubbed them his "beakers." If my son is in adult sizes by next school year, I might opt for a Keen shoe for everyday wear for school instead of sneakers because he seems to run through sneakers quickly, but he's had these for a month and a half and they still look great. I will add that we live in central Connecticut. Perhaps if we lived in an area that got much heavier snowfall I would just stick to snow boots for him. But for our area, these are fantastic.

I loved the shoes. The child - not so much. It took an adult force to stuff him into the shoe, and the shoe was one size larger than his actual feet. The opening seemed to be poorly designed somehow, too much force was needed to get through. He also felt too tight in them. Big disappointment, because they style and concept really appealed to me. The fur definately looked like an old mop withing a few days of use, but hey, he is a boy, who cares - it mostly amusing, why put it there - it only makes so obvious that shoe is dirty! But I loved it... will buy another pair, but return it if it runs small to true size! sometimes there is no logic in life

My son has a different pair of big snow boots which are great for playing in the snow, but he really needed a practical winter shoe for school and general wear. These really fit the bill. They provide more coverage than a regular sneaker would offer and they keep his feet dry and warm. When we have ice on the ground they provide better traction than sneakers too. He likes the ease of the velcro closure. (How many kids actually like to fiddle with laces?) He says they're really comfortable too. I like the fact that they're rugged and take a beating.

I bought these for my 7 year old grandson who lives in Minneapolis. It is so hard to get him out of his running shoes, but MN winters require more substantial footwear. Yet, I was afraid that he would refuse to wear them. Well, when the first snow hit and he was shown these boots, he was happy to wear them to school. He thought that they were cool!

Wonderful boots! Warm, light and good looking. My son loves them, he usually complains about winter boots being too bulky and hot at school, but these ones he doesn't mind at all. When he runs, you can tell they are like sneakers. They also breathe well, there is no odor at the end of the day. I highly recommend!

Bought these for my 7yr old. He just loves them and the added bonus of no shoestrings during the wet, snowy days ahead. I would highly recommend them.

The absolute best pair of shoes you can buy for your kid! We had a size smaller and he loved it... as he outgrew it, we got the next size up.

Just got these two days ago and our 6 year old son hasn't taken them off except to sleep. They are everything I expect from Keen. Never disappointed in their product.They look like they'll hold up well to running, climbing, and jumping outside through the winter.

Love these shoes! This is the second pair I have purchased for my son. The first pair he wore as his regular school shoes. They kept his toes warm and dry.

These are great boots for my adventurous 8 year old boy! They have the Keen reinforced toe which is a absolute must for my extremely active boy, plus they are waterproof, so he can play when it rains here in Seattle. It runs small, so go up a size and you'll be fine. They also run wide, but that is true of any Keen shoe. My son has long, narrow feet, and even though 2 is his normal size, size 3 fits perfect. It's his go-to, favorite shoe!

This is the 2nd pair for my 6 year old...and my 9 year old has a pair also. The best shoes for boys for winter! We live in Germany and the kids play outside every day at school...even when there is snow on the ground. While I would not send them out to play for hours in the snow in these, they are perfect for the half hour they are running around in all types of weather. These are perfect for them because they aren't so big and bulky like other boy boots. They look great with everything, are super comfy, and are easy enough for them to get on and off without help. 5 Stars!

Best shoes ever and so sad to hear Keen doesn't make them anymore. My son lives in Keens year round and these are just another wonderful product. My son loves them and wears them almost daily.

These shoes are great for boys of all ages. They are easy and fast to get on and off. They are both warm and comfortable. My boys feel they can run and play in them and I think they look handsome when worn with dressier clothes as well. I hope it is not true that Keen is going to stop making these. We are on our second pair of these shoes because my younger son wore them non stop. We have the khaki ones, but I bought the black ones recently for my older son and he loves them, too. We live in Northern California where it does not get super cold, but we have foggy rainy mornings and these shoes are like a cup of hot chocolate for their feet. I thought these were expensive when I first got them, but now I feel they were so worth it. Thanks, Zappos because I have never seen these in a store.

Awesome shoes! These are our second pair, which if it weren't for my son outgrowing it, he would still be wearing b/c they still look new. We love Keens for their durability and looks. He can dress these up or down. Very versatile! Am so in love with Zappos VIP service. Can't say enough!

I buy these boots for my 5 year old grandson every winter. Great boots, they fit his wide foot so well and his feet stay nice and dry as the leather is waterproof. I sold Keens for over 10 years and is one of my favorite brands. I encourage everyone to try their socks. The best socks I've ever worn, they last forever and have an awesome arch support. Back to the boots. We had a minor issue, lining above one of the heel counters came loose and tends to fold in when trying to put the boot on. I'll be putting a small stitch to hold it in place. A shoe spoon always helps too. I also can't say enough about Zappos. As always, great job!

This is the third year running that we bought these for my daughter who absolutely loves them, I hope they keep upping the size as it will be a sad day when she can no longer fit into them. They are comfortable, bulletproof and fun, I wish I had a pair!

I got these for my 2 boys; Kindergarten and 3rd grade. Both boys love them! Very warm, very comfortable. Nice for cold weather and a bit of snow. Good for school, not as bulky as big winter boots. A nice alternative for boys since they can't wear the Ugg boots girls wear!

I have ordered several pairs. These are the only shoes my 5 year old son doesn't complain about besides Crocs. So they are awesome! And so is Zappos! I ordered these boots late at night and still received them by the next day!

These are nice boots - soft but sturdy, comfortable, easy to put on, great Keen soles and toe protection. They're pretty supportive in spite of not having laces. My son climbed a mountain in them the first week that he got them - no discomfort or blisters. And they look great. Will probably buy another pair when he outgrows these. In case you're wondering, the fleece is only around the collar - it's a real nice touch for comfort as well as keeping dirt and wet out of the boot.

Shoes of very good quality,but I'm not really thrilled about the look, but mu 10 year old son just loves it. He says shoes very comfy,cool and warm. I found them very wide in the front toes, but my son like, so be it.

These are my 3rd pair of these boots for my son. They are warm, but not too warm, go on easily and look great. They also wear very well. Even after a full winter's wearing, they still look new.

I love these shoes. Not only are they cute and warm but they are sturdy. This is my son's second pair (he outgrew original ones). He is very hard on shoes especially in the front. These didn't show any signs of wear and tear so we gave away his pair from last year because they were in such great condition!
