I love this coat. I am 5 ft and 112 lbs. The XS fits me perfectly. I always have problems with arm lengths but the XS was just what I needed. The length is great and keeps me warm in the Chicago colds. I got the graphite gray and can't say enough about it and it's not the black everyone wears and not the white that will get dirty easily. Yet, it can be coordinated with most colors. It is also very light for it's size and comfortable. Have gotten several compliments. I do wish they would make this in a 700 or even 800 downfill because it is not warm enough for the very very cold days (below -10 deg). However, that was something I knew when I bought it and so I still give it 5 stars!

This is a great parka! I live in MN and I'm a hockey Mom and I bought this parka for sitting in the cold hockey rinks! I'm about 5'9 and ordered a large and it fits great with a sweatshirt or sweater under it with some wiggle room as well. It's light yet warm. I highly, highly recommend this parka! If you are looking for something that can provide warmth without the bulk...check this jacket out. It's not easy surviving MN winters but this parka will see me through!

I had this exact coat in a slightly different shade of blue that I bought 4 years ago. It was getting a bit worn, so I went searching for a replacement. I ended up buying the exact same coat, but now in a darker, but also brighter shade of blue. It is a great color. It happens to match my favorite scarf, which the other one, which was a bit closer to a slate color, did not. I stayed with this coat because it had all the elements I needed: a hood, long length, and a weight that works well for weather in the high 30s or 40s. When the weather gets colder, I have something else that I wear. I am very pleased with my purchase.

I ordered this right around Christmas and absolutely love this coat! I have quite a few coats but find myslef always going to this one! It's comfortable, warm and not too bulky - this is just right for your everyday winter wear. The sizing was surprisingly right on. I was tossing between the small and the medium and decided to go with the medium and am glad I did. I'm on the short side so I figured the arms would be a little long, but the fit is perfect. Love Zappos!

By the time I decided to purchase the North Face Metropolis Parka, my head was swimming with looking at other coats and reading many, many reviews. I have gained weight in the past year so I was kind of shocked that I needed an XL but this parka fits very well and so it looks good even though I wish I did not need this size. I went gray crazy this year because I started looking for a gray coat last year and could not find one (I failed to look on Zappos so that might have changed this). Anyway, I bought this gray coat and another parka. The length is perfect. I cannot comment on warmth yet because in New York City the weather has been unseasonably warm but I feel confident that it will be good when it does get cold. My larger size is through the hips so I am very happy with the double-zipper. All the commercial brands seem to have gotten together and decided that it is no longer necessary to put in double-zippers. I could not find any brand elsewhere that continued to have this essential feature. When I sit on a bus I need to be able to zip up from the bottom to be comfortable and sometimes even if I am taking big strides while walking. I am happy with this purchase.

I bought this coat for myself and bought the gray for my mother and love it. I am 5'4 126 lbs and the med is perfect!

The coat is extremely light and very warm. I like the length (mid thigh). Living in Chicago, our winters are very extreme. This coat was the perfect investment for me. A little on the expensive side, but I think in the long run it will be worth it. True to size. I'm almost 6 ft. tall, so I bought the XL. Fits perfect.

Very impressed with how warm, yet light-weight, this parka is. I travel quite a bit and it can be folded up and put inside a carry-on with no trouble. As for size, I am 5'9" and normally wear a med top and pants, and a large jacket. Since I have very long arms and a wide back, the large parka was too short in arm length. The XL fit perfectly with enough room for a light- weight blazer underneath. Even with the blazer, the way the coat is cut gave it a nice slim appearance and was not voluminous. Great coat!

I live in a ski resort at 9,000 ft in the Rocky Mtns. January has seen many below zero days, the coldest so far has been -30*. During the coldest days I have layered with a thin North Face fleece vest; all I needed. Overall this parka rocks. Warm, comfy and stylin'. Love it.

I love the parka! It is lightweight. I was so surprised because the photo made it appear big and slightly bulky. I live in MI, so the winters are frigid. Looking forward to looking stylish because I ordered The North Face Janey boot to go with the coat. Only negative is that the sizing runs small so I got a large. It fits my hips and butt. The arms and chest are a little big. I could have used a Medium. However, who wants a tight down coat? I adore Zappos...they have the best quality and that free overnight shipping...forget about it!

My husband purchased this coat for me for Christmas. I love it! Wisconsin has dreadfully cold winters and I stay completely warm and comfortable in this coat. Plus it is not too puffy so it does not add "extra weight".

I am very pleased with this coat. I have found it to be warm, lightweight, tailored and well made. I love the detachable hood, roomy pockets and the fact that there is no velcro. I have worn this coat when the temperatures drop below zero and am very warm with an added vest underneath. Zappos shipping time was amazing.

I love this jacket! I've been wanting a long down coat for a long time. Our weather in northern Nevada is usually windy, cold, and freezing into early June. This will keep me warm in the stands during my 3 boys' little league games. It's the right length for me, as the Triple C was too long (I am 5'5"). The graphite color is great.

The jacket is very warm and stylish. It keeps you very warm in the Chicago winters.

This is a great coat! It's warm, has great coverage and I like that the hood is detachable. I was worried that it would be too puffy and make me look like a sausage, but it's better than I expected and the warmth is worth it! I almost got a similar Patagonia coat but it wasn't as warm. Thanks Zappos for great customer service as usual!

Love this . Looked all over for a cost to keep me warm, look great and fit over my hips! Does it all. I may even by another color!

Fabulous coat... I have been thinking about buying this coat for about a year and finally purchased it on new years! After placing my order on an impulse I continued looking through the Zappos site and found that I actually wanted the Triple C as it was a longer coat. I immediately called Zappos CS to see if I can cancel or change the order but it was too late, however the rep said as soon as I receive it call back and they can do an exchange immediately and have my new coat the next day. Very impressed! Well I received the coat (metropolis) and love it, it the perfect length! I'm 5'8" and thought the coat would be too short but it fit perfectly! Very pleasant experience with Zappos and Northface product!

Great jacket! Good-looking, soft, and very light for the warmth it is able to provide. Got the charcoal grey and I am very pleased with the versatility of both the color and the jacket itself.

I purchased this for my wife for Christmas. She loves it. She has been wearing it since she received it. She says it keeps her absolutely warm. The shipping and price from Zappos was excellent.

I love this coat. It is warm, but not too warm. It feels so comfortable on because of the soft material and lightness of the coat. And, I really like the graphite color. The color is not too dark, nor too light. The coat is just right!

This is a great jacket. it seems warmer than my old winter puffy jacket. I'm 5'3 at 110 lbs and the xs is maybe a tiny bit too small, but basically a good fit

I bought this coat to replace an older North Face that I've had for a few years. This coat is great! It is not too bulky like other parkas I looked at before I purchase this one. I am normally a size 4 and I bought a small. I maybe could have gotten an extra small but I figured I would be wearing sweaters and scarves underneath so it might be too tight.

What a fabulous jacket! Living in the Midwest I need a comfy and warm jacket and this has totally fit the bill!

This coat was just received so it hasn't been out in the weather as yet. The fit is perfect and a very good looking coat.

Love this coat! I was steering clear of the quilted look, but this coat is slimming! Love the 2 way zipper for ease of movement driving.
