These are great shoes. They do run short in black. Note that this is a different shoe from the two-toned version and is sized differently. Fit and comfort is all you could ask for. I'm taking them to Europe as my go-to-a-nice-restaurant but walking on cobblestones to get there shoes.

You know how difficult it is to find a dress shoe that is comfortable. Well, I was able to wear these shoes with a dress, and it felt special. I couldn\'t have gone a complete smaller size, but the shoes were a little big. I also received many compliments. Wish there were different colors.\r\n

I was not familiar with Ara shoes but liked the style on line for its versatility. They arrived today--usual great Zappos service!--and I am very impressed with how cute they are, and how comfortable they are. I wanted them for an overseas business trip where I will do a lot of walking, and I think they\'ll be perfect! I wear a 7.5 or 8 and ordered these in 7.5 and the fit is just right. Now I\'ll look for other Ara-brand shoes!

I thought these were great flats. Very comfortable. I have a hard time finding shoes that fit and these were perfect. They have moderate arch support, so they aren\'t too flat. My only concern is that they may stretch over time and become too big.

I have only worn the shoes a couple of times but they were comfortable - don\'t need much break in. I got the basic black and they work with the outfits I had in mind. I would purchase them again.

I love Zappos! I could not find the Ara shoes I wanted in any local shoe store. Then I decided to look on line and found the exact shoe I wanted at a much lower price from Zappos. The best shoe ever. Excellent quality and value. It can be dressed up or down. It's unbelievably comfortable. (I walked on the cobblestoned streets of Paris for two weeks and my feet never hurt!) I've worn out more than one pair because they are always on my feet. I echo the sentiment that it would be great if it came in more colors. I have them in every color I could get in my size. Also, some people like and need that generous cut that come up high on the foot. My feet look small and slim in this shoe!

I ordered these shoes in a size 8, after totally wearing out another pair of ara shoes. These shoes are absolutely the most comfortable, good looking shoes I've ever worn. They go with pants or skirts and you can walk for miles in them. I just wish they came in more colors.

The interior of this shoe is very soft. It has a dressy look, but lots of support. I plan on taking this shoe to Europe this summer, and walking all day in it.

Fabulous shoe! I bought this shoe for a business trip to London because I can walk around for miles and it looks good with slacks and skirts. I love the black patent accents. This shoe fits medium to narrow feet well (I'm medium-narrow). I think the tapered toe box might be too narrow for a wide foot. I have other Aras and I just love them. They are all reasonably priced and very well made. This one is no exception!

XXXXtremely comfortable and good looking -
THE most comfortable shoe I have ever worn, and that includes my Mephistos. Tried this shoe on once before going on vacation and then walked for miles through Vegas in absolute comfort. Have other ARA shoes and they too are extremely comfortable but this pair beats them all!

I love this shoe. It's so comfortable and cute. I usually wear a 7.5 or an 8, so I got a 7.5 based the the reviews I read. Initially, I thought it was too small, but after wearing them around the house for a few days, they became more comfortable. I ordered the 8 to compare the two sizes, but the 8 was way too big. So, although they take some breaking in, these shoes are very comfortable and offer much more support and cushioning than other ballet flats I've worn. I highly recommend them.

I was a bit disappointed about the look of these shoes. They present better online than in real life. For the cost, I thought they would look a little more expensive and high quality, but frankly they look a little cheap to me. For anyone considering these, I would suggest finding a similar style but not this specific shoe.

A disappointing shoe - I usually love Ara shoes, but not this one! This shoe comes very high up on the sides of the foot. It's not at all like a typical ballerina flat. Kind of ugly, matronly look. Also, not very comfortable. Thick sole is nice though.

I have tried on dozens of flats, and these are the first pair that fit well. I very much appreciate the reviews from others who stated that the shoe fits comfortably over bunions. This is true, as the soft leather is accommodating. I also think the shoe sacrifices nothing in style for the comfort feature. They are cute, and I know I’ll enjoy wearing them.

The Are Bella is my favorite flat dress shoe. I have them in all the colors they make. The are comfortable out of the box, are great for people who like to put their bare feet in shoes because they have a lining that magically does not smell. These have become my go-to shoes for last-minute trips to the grocery, etc. They are great.

This beautiful shoe exceeded my expectations. I wear a 9.5 but ordered a size 9 too so that I could compare fit. I'm keeping the 9.5 because they fit right out of the box with almost imperceptable heel slippage. I consider my feet to be wider than not and the toe boxes weren't crowded. I love the way this shoe covers "toe cleavage" and that it has a sturdy sole that doesn't detract from the dressiness of the shoe. If this shoe came in a solid nappa leather, I'd buy another pair.

These are amazing shoes. They provide great coverage on the feet. They hold better than ballet flats, but are not binding on the big toe joint. However, I am returning the US 10 that I ordered because the right shoe is ¼" smaller across the toe than the left shoe. I hope the replacement pair is not such a mismatch because I love this fit.

I had this shoe in another color and ordered it again because it's so comfortable, despite the high price. I did add a gel arch support, and another gel pad at the heel to keep it from slipping, but my narrow feet usually require some type of "fixes". The shoe looks dressy and professional although it's a flat - what I require.

I've never worn this brand before, but this is a very comfortable and good-looking pair of shoes. Just after buying them, I took them on a trip where I did quite a bit of walking, and they felt great. The heel is a shade loose but didn't cause any problems. With their ballet styling, they also are much cuter than most walking shoes.
