I love this dress! I'm 5'8'' and 145lbs athletic build and I bought and medium and it fits perfectly! I was a little worried about the length but its a nice length...not too short. I'd definitely recommend this dress.

I'm not skinny and I totally love this dress. I have 34C boobs and the medium fit perfectly. After reading most of the reviews, I was nervous about the fit. I wore it to a work dinner last night and received lots of compliments of it.

This simple, little black dress fits well all over and is very flattering. And, a very good value.

I love how sturdy and cute Patagonia's clothes are. I bought this dress for a work/casual dress and it's way cuter than the picture. The colors are kind of off: it's more of a dark brown and purple dress and it doesn't really have the mossy green color in the photos, but I love it. It's a really versatile dress that I can wear with tall boots or dress-up for the office. I'm tall and curvy (close to 6ft) and this dress is a nice length and fit.

I am 5'4 and weigh 145 pounds and I ordered a large. It is a very sexy dress but a little big on me. I like it so much that I don't want to return it. I heard it ran small and now I am wondering if a Medium would fit better ? I didn't want the dress to look skin tight. It is very comfortable in a size large and not tight at all.

When I pulled this dress out of the box I was thinking to myself that everyone who rated the dress so highly must not be into dresses the way I am. It's a thicker cotton material than I expected and it looked A line to the point of seeming like it was going to be too big or shapeless on me. But I liked the print and tried it on. Wow, it is quite pretty. I wear a 10 and due to other reviewers saying it ran small, and despite the sizing information listed, took the reviews in mind and ordered a large. It fits very well on me. A medium would've fit my body tighter, and I prefer tighter dresses, but my bosom is a DDD and would definitely not have fit in the medium size. There is a fair to significant amount of chest exposure depending on your size,so the top makes what appears to be a ordinary cute dress into an interestingly sexy yet casual dress. So if you don't like your bosom out, either don't buy it or be prepared to wear a little piece underneath. I'm keeping this! Looks good with casual flats like in the photo.

Love the material and the style. The picture doesn't do it justice. 5'11" slender build ordered a medium and it's perfect for me.

Ordered this yesterday and received it today...wow!! I was nervous about the sizing but I am glad I went with the Medium. I am 5'4, 120 (around 36B) and while its a tad big in the waist, I think once its washed it will be perfect and since I have a bit more ample bottom it will give me some leeway there. Alot of people are saying its cut low, but I'm pretty modest and I thought it was perfect for a nice night out without looking at all skanky. I do have a fairly small chest though so I imagine if you were bigger it could be an issue. I am so so picky about dresses and I can tell this one will get tons of wear....wish I could afford it in every color!

Beautiful dress. I ordered the L and XL to be safe. The L fits wonderfully. I'm a 10-12 in dresses right now, and though the L is a bit slim around my post-baby middle, the XL was way too big. With the right shapewear (hello Spanx!), the L fits wonderfully. It is a slim fit, so if you don't want to wear shapewear, this isn't for the curvier girl. Also, it is very low cut, which is great for date night, but not so great for church or work. I put a cami secret underneath and it looks beautiful. Definitely recommend this dress. Thanks Zappos!

Purchased this dress for my 30 year old daughter. Accurate sizing with good quality fabric. Design modern but classy. Co lour depth rich and vibrant. A gorgeous dress, value for money. The bonus is...she loves it!

This is a really nice dress! I wear it for date night, as it shows just the right amount of cleavage. Although I typically wear size 4/6, small, I got this in a medium and it fits great! Pretty color and pattern, nice, heavier fabric, so good for cooler weather... I wore with tights and boots and a chunky, turquoise necklace.

Bought this dress for travel and liked it so much, I bought another in the red color. It flatters my curves well without being too showy. Like others, I wear it to work with a tank underneath. The Maharaja Green dress, my favorite, is more like a purple with blue and green in it. My co-worker calls it "the peacock dress" because of this.

This dress is super-flattering! It will require a tank or tube bra for work-wear, but it sexily revealing for other occasions. The fabric is very stretchy and a little tight. I'm 5'9" and 135lbs, C cup and am happy with the size medium. For similar fit/wear, I would recommend Horny Toad's Oblique and Rosalinda dresses. Got all three and love them!

Love this dress! My 'girls' are a little on the big side (38d) so I had to buy a tank top to go under it. I can't wait to take it to Spain! And debating buying another before my trip. I ordered the xl. Fits like a glove! It's a slim fit.

Flattering dress, thin material. Because of the cut this dress it would be flattering to most body types. I am sending it back though because the fabric seems too thin for winter and I don't see myself wearing a black, 3/4 sleeve dress in the spring summer. If this had been less expensive, I might have kept it. I was worried that the dress would be too low cut as other reviewers have said but that was not the case for me. I am 34B and the v-neck line fit appropriately without showing cleavage.

Nice dress. The material is quite thick, which makes it perfect for the fall! I found the fit and the length very flattering.

Based on the high ratings I purchased this dress. I just got it and I can say that it does live up to the hype! I'm 5'3" 130 lbs and it fits perfectly. It is a little snug around my rib cage (but in a good way that is still comfortable!). As other reviewers have said, it does have a very deep v-neck, so a camisole is needed (I'm cheating and just wearing a light colored sports bra that looks like a cami). Can't wait to wear this dress out!

Love this dress. It has a beautiful print & is made from thick high quality cotton. I ordered a medium (5'8", 140 lbs) but it was a bit too tight. The exchange was extremely EASY and the next day I had this dress in a large. It hangs beautifully, tight where you want, nice flow below the waist. If you are large busted, the cut may be a bit low and you may need a cami, but I'm back at the web site to order it in a different color. GREAT DRESS.

Easily one of the most flattering dresses I own. (I'm 5'8" and 130 pounds.) Looks better in person than online. Does show cleavage, so beware. Great length - not too long or short, and hugs the hips nicely while also having the feminine flare of the skirt. Can be dressed up or down.

Great cut. Great print. Hangs beautifully. Tight at the waist, but flowy enough for work but very attractive as well. Only comment is the Medium I got ran very tight through my bust - and I'm a 34B! I'm 5'8" and 140 lbs. Usually a perfect Medium but I'm exchanging for a Large.

I love the way Patagonia fits. This dress is fabulous! It is so comfortable, flattering, and a great material. I am 195 lbs and 5'5" tall. I was worried it would be too tight in the arms but it feels great. It hugs slightly around the belly as my stomach sticks out bit it is very flattering. Low cut as most reviewers mentioned but that provides the opportunity for something under if you want extra coverage. The XL was too long and did not fit well. I normally wear a L to XL. Size 14. This feels great. Losing weight so I am excited as this will look good for a long while! I highly recommend.
