Wanted a classic tassle kiltie loafer with a leather sole. Disappointed and should have returned it immediately.

I've worn the Aragon from J-M for decades. Love the casual style. But, I've given up - in the past several years they've changed the manufacture of the shoe. Don't know why or how, but they have subtly changed the shape - it's a tiny bit taller and narrower than historic versions. No worries, just went with a wider shoe. Secondly, the heel now has a new pattern/or material on the rubber heel which makes a sound when the heel lifts off a hard surface. I've tried several different pairs now - hoping it was just a flaw in manufacturing. Nope. Clearly the result of the new material/pattern/design of the heel.

This is the second time I've tried to order this shoe and both times you sent the wrong size. The first time you sent a 7 1/2 now a 10 1/2 W. I asked for a 10 1/2 EE. If you send what I order they will fit. These too are on the way back.

This shoe is not wide. If you need wide these will not work for you.
Zappos tried hard although these shoes just are not as advertised.

After less than six months of wear, had to take to shoe repair shop. Rubber cushion strip had come loose. After less than ten months soles and heals were completely worn out. The uppers have held up well, but soles are horrible.

I have purchased these shoes, and other J&M shoes over the past 25+ years. I have become disappointed more and more and now begin to question my loyalty. These shoes said "wide" on the label, but were regulars at best. This is either a quality control issue, or a cost issue, or both. Either way, I am hesitant to order from again. Take into account that the local stores no longer stock wide shoes as well, they are making it impossible for me to buy with confidence.

I loved the style and comfort. Unfortunately, they wear very quickly and are impossible to rehabilitate. Throw away shoes.

the stitching starts coming out after a month. Sole came apart in 6 weeks. When you take it back to the store, they charged $ 50 to replace. Will not buy again from Johnston Murphy store. Johnston Murphy shoes bought at JosA bank store have 1 year warranty and replace for free.

In sole lifts and tears after only a few wearings without socks. Now the insole must be replaced.

These shoes are very comfortable however the durability is very very poor. I have probably worn these shoes less than 75 times and the sole is cracked at the intersection of the rubber inset and leather. Everything about the shoes look brand new with the exception of the crack. The rubber insets still have the tread on them and the heel has very little wear however I can no longer wear them when there is a chance of rain because water comes through the sole and into the shoe. I have spoken to customer service who state there is nothing they can do since the shoes were purchased more than 90 days ago. I have numerous other pairs of J&M shoes and I can tell you that this shoe is in no way close to the quality that I expect from this brand. I am very disappointed that J&M is unwilling to rectify this situation. I will think long and hard before buying another pair of their shoes.
