Surface is rougher than I expected with the picture on your home page. I wanted to buy smooth surface shoes.

This is the fifth pair of these shoes I have bought over the past 10 years or so, this pair doesn't seem to have the same soft leather the others have had. Usually the first time you put the shoe on straight from the box, the leather is soft and comfy, this pair the leather is stiff and therefore also tighter on my feet. If and when the leather softens through wearing, they will hopefully be as comfy, but not sure and not the quality expected.

I wanted these Aragon Kiltie mocs to fit and be comfortable. Unfortunately, the end of the kilties on both shoes were bent upward because they were not wrapped correctly. Second, the cushioning was substandard and compared poorly with the 4 the other pairs of J&M shoes I own. Third, while I am used to differences in fit for left vs right shoe, these were so far apart, I would have needed a C-width for one foot shoe and the D-width I ordered for the other foot to make the pair fit well.

The fit was perfect. This was my third pair of the same shoe in different colors and I feel the quality of this pair has deteriorated.

Just OK - which is probably why it was on sale. I wear this shoe but would not buy it again. IMPORTANT: No fault of Johnson & Murphy. This is just not my favorite shoe. All J&M products I own are fantastic!

Not very comfortable and they don’t appear to EVER “break in”.

I was disappointed in the quality of this shoe as compared to previous years when all leather was used. Cheaply made.

I notice that you occasionally have shoe sales, but this one and Melton Cap dress shoe is never on sale. Let me know when those are offered on sale.

I bought these shoes and the matching belt while traveling on business. They worked well for daily wear but the soles wore through within six months of moderate wear. Water started soaking up through the sole where the traction pads are embedded. J&M replaced them and assured me that this was abnormal. They graciously replaced them. The replacement pair is doing the exact same thing. I love the look and feel of the shoe but I'll have to find an alternative once the soles wear through on them. I like them enough to have them professionally re-soled. The rest of the shoe has held up beautifully.

I have a narrow (b width) foot and finding shoes that fit is difficult. Ordered these based on the Johnston & Murphy brand. Shoe feels more like a C width. Length is fine.

The inlay on the bottom of the shoe sometimes gets caught on the stairs as you go up them.

I had ordered a different kind of slip on Penny loafer that was much too tight on my instep. I returned them to a J&M store. I had seen this Aragon in the catalogue. I tried them on and they felt fantastic. However, after getting home and wearing these often, they aren't that comfortable, especially around the instep on my left foot. Hopefully they will break in and fit and feel better. Granted, I haven't worn a leather sole shoe in years but I can't recommend these. I was expecting more comfort. First J&M shoe I've owned that disappointed me and I've been wearing J&Ms since the 1980s.

Nice looking shoe. Was what I wanted but coming out of China for some reason they can't make anything size right... Normally a 14 will fit perfect. These slipped up and down on my heel. Had to return.

This is the second Aragon II Kiltie Tassel I have purchased. The first was in black and I love the shoe. I ordered the burgundy online and was surprised when it had a different, stiffer leather. Nowhere near the comfort as the ones in black.

Feel wonderful on your feet. I guess I would call these my comfort shoes. Very disappointed with the look though. Have a very plastic look. I truly didn't check to see if these are leather but if they are, it is a very, very poor grade of leather.

Although the shoes are very nice looking, the leather is stiff (vs. supple) and therefore uncomfortable.
