This particular Bass shoe should make bass rethink it's outsourcing. I ordered this shoe in three colors. All were made so cheaply that one strap was way too short, the next was way to long and the third had a really long footbed. NEVER will I order another Bass shoe. Cheap isn't everything. I rather pay more for quality. I think Zappos should examine the junk that bass is putting out. Returns should indicate the lack of care and quality that now represents the Bsss product. I grew up wearing their brand but never again will I purchase one of their shoes.

These are not wide at all! I ordered an 8WW (EE) just to be on the safe side after reading some of the reviews on here. I am very disappointed because my foot isn't even that wide but they still didn't fit. I am a 23 young female, was looking for cute sandals that didn't look like old lady wide sandals. But these just didn't work, they fit like a narrow AA. Sadly will have to return. I got the tan color which looked great in person. They also shipped fast.

Im a 23 year old young women and was looking for some cute but comfortable sandals. It seems like all the cute sandals are for medium width only. Wide width girls want cute sandals too!! Alas i saw these and decided to try them out. I ordered an 8WW(EE). My feet are wide but not overly wide but after reading the comments i decided to go a width up just in case. These would not fit on my feet at all! They are very very narrow. Where not true to size at all. They shipped fast but other than that I am not happy. Will have to return.

I have lived in Bass Weejuns and Sunjuns since the 1960s. My last pair of Margie Sunjuns lasted from 1990 through 2010, which is when I bought 2 new pairs from Zappos. I was surprised to see the price had not gone up. The sandals lasted a month before the straps came out of the sole. I had them repaired for about $20.00. In another 6 months, the leather straps started to crack and peel. I had not realized until then that H.G. Bass is outsourcing. I (and I dare say many others as well) would pay US prices for a QUALITY product made in the USA again. You get what you pay for, folks. But I still love Zappos!

Pleather? Really? When Bass started making this shoe (in the 80's) it was all leather. I owned many pairs in several colors. I know they want to keep the price down but I can't go with their shift to pleather. The straps that hold the heel strap down rubbed against my foot and I knew it would always be that way. (Blisters anyone?) Leather would soften but plastic won't.

I was very disappointed. I have had Bass sandals before and these sandals seemed like a cheap imitation. The "leather" straps feel like plastic.

This AA width shoe I ordered is wider than another medium width shoe I ordered at the same time. Also the strap that buckles is so long and there are no holes to secure -- the holes run out way at the beginning. Unfortunately for me both shoes were too wide.

Extremely disappointed. All reviews I read said the shoe ran small and ran narrow. I wear an 8 S the 8 narrow was so wide I could probably put both feet in it. The Bass Margie is soft and great looking but wide. If you have a truly narrow foot, don't bother!

Shame on G.H. Bass for such a cheap imitation of a once awesome shoe. I wore these in the 1980's and loved them. Was so excited when I found they were still being made. Received them today and was so disgusted. I had it on my foot about 15 seconds and put them back in the box to be returned. Cheaply made. Cheap materials.

I found the soles to be too heavy and inflexible. The scratchy straps were fighting to keep them on my feet with each step. I have worn them once and will not wear them again. I tried adjusting the straps but it did not help. The whooshing sound is no good either. Epic fail :/

This is not "Bass" quality and sizing. I told my daughter to not toss her old pair when she tired of them. She was excited to find them again, but they don't fit (too small) and quality is poor.

Ordered the narrowest size in this sandal and only wore them one time. They are very uncomfortable & found my toes falling out of the front of the shoe. Don't recommend them at all.

Here is another sandal whose straps are much too long. The pre-punched holes for the buckle are not sufficient; I would have had to add some to get the straps cinched up tightly enough to keep the sandals on my feet. However, then the buckle would no longer be at the side of my foot, it would be riding on top. No thanks. I sent them back.

Cute shoe but, very narrow. I ordered a wide and it was either miss marked or it just ran narrow. I couldn't get by big toe in it! Had to return them. Cute and seemingly well made.

Read the reviews that said it ran half size large, so ordered 9 1/2 W. With wide feet was thrilled to find these in shiny copper, something actually pretty is a treat for me. Alas, when they arrived I couldn't squeeze my foot into them at all. They may as well have been a 5 AA. Either my feet have grown at least one size in the last couple of months, or these run waaaay small. These are definitely going back, debating on whether I should order 10 WW. Still think they are cute, which is why I gave them 5 stars on style, but otherwise not so much.

Horribly frumpy. They look comfortable but really aren't due to lack of arch support. The leather straps bit into the tops of my feet. I've worn them perhaps 5 total hours and couldnt' wait to take them off and shove them into the back of my closet.

As soon as I took this shoe out of the box, I knew it was too small. I ordered 7W and it looked like a 6! I did squeeze my foot in and found that the very cushioned footbed made an impolite woooshing sound as the are escaped each time my foot struck the ground. Returned. My hunt for comfortable flat sandals continues.

Cute and super comfy! However, the strap with the little circle button popped off the shoe while walking. I have only worn this pair before it broke. This is my second pair actually and the first pair broke the same way but after a much longer time so I thought it was just from wear. I wouldn't buy this pair of sandles again.

I purchased my first pair of Margie's at a Bass outlet store a couple years ago and they wore like a dream. I had them for a little over a year and a half before the back strap on the right shoe pulled from the sole, I certainly got a lot of wear out of them though! Fast forward to my purchase from Zappos some two months ago. Sadly, this was just shortly after my first pair bit the dust and I was glad to have gotten a replacement. I don't remember my original's shoe size but I ended up with having to get the WW, though my feet are typically just normally wide. The shoes were pretty bad at 'breathing' at first, but as I neared a month with the pair, they began to quiet down until one day the same thing that happened with my first pair of Margie's hit this pair, and the back strap of the right sandal snapped. Devastated, I emailed Zappos and shortly a replacement pair was sent seeing as a pair of sandals, especially one's of Bass' quality, should last more than a month. I was wrong. The replacement pair met the same fate and after only a short month, for the third time, the back strap of the right shoe snapped. Not only that, but the right shoe was so loud, the 'breathing' of it was horrendous and annoying, and never went away. I'm not sure what the problem was, I'll admit that on my very first pair of Bass sandals I was neglectful and didn't often undo the buckle when putting them on, for that reason I took proper precaution with the two pairs I ended up with Zappos, hoping they'd last longer. In the long run, Zappos is the most wonderful company I've had the pleasure of dealing with and all was sorted out but I'm afraid that I won't be ordering another pair of the Margie's despite the cute style and comfort of them.

Very stylish sandal, but for some odd reason the left buckle strap is way shorter than the right. This strap-tastrophe renders the sandals useless, as I am unable to fasten the left one into place. I was hopeful they would work out because of the great low price and on-trend style, but sadly they have to go back. Pretty disappointing since I'm rather familiar with the Bass brand and recall quality products from the past.

I liked these shoes and happily wore them every few days for about a month. Then one of the rear straps snapped off the sole! I wasn't putting undue pressure on the strap -- it just popped off randomly. The shoe is now unwearable. So beware -- it's a nice style, and it's comfortable, but the quality is questionable, to say the least!

I have owed more than six pairs of this sandal. They were great, before Bass started having them made in China. Now the straps are too short, they smell funny and are very uncomfortable. Can't wear for more than a hour. Returned a pair; ordered large size, still hurt to wear. Shame on Bass! Not like the less expensive sandals I would buy in Maine at Bass outlets yet! Waste of money.

Total disappointment. The regular width was a good 1/4 inch narrower than other shoes I have, and on the wide width the straps are so loose the sandals flop around on my feet. Wish I hadn't worn them outside - I would return them.

What a disappointment! The second time I wore these sandals, the buckle broke. I had always had good luck with the Bass brand in the past but not this time. Bummer!

I ordered a pair in black; they were so comfortable that I ordered a pair in tan. Big mistake. Had to exchange them for a narrower size.
