I LOVE these boots! This is my second pair of the same exact boot. they are perfect and the cognac color is perfect. However, after 3 wears the heel came out and was lost. As a results, the sole is coming off and the leather around the heel has begun to shred. Unfortunately my size in this color is no longer available or i would order them again. I contacted customer service who were very friendly and helpful and will be getting a full refund. if these come back in stock in my size, i will be ordering them again. Im assuming i just got a defective pair.

This is the second pair of these that I have ordered and they are made in Brazil. The first pair I got directly from Steve Madden a few years ago and was overjoyed to find them on Zappos. For some reason however, these are really narrow and tight. I have a narrow foot but this boot was scrapping the top of my toes. Also, the buckle was really tarnished. The buckle I had on my last pair was gold and never tarnished at all. I'm exchanging these for the next size up because I love them so much. Hopefully, the next pair will work.

Not as comfortable as I thought

The boot shaft on these is very wide. There is a belt type adjustment on it that is not usable. They are otherwise nice and comfy boots, but the circumference of shaft makes them too big.

I bought these boots to be the answer to my prayers, so it shouldn't be surprising that they fell short. The quality of the leather is great, it takes wear amazingly. But, the heel fell off after 5 wears and even after that was repaired, the sole is separating. For this price I expected to get more than 1 season out of them. They are a bit baggie in the ankle, so are more of a slouch than a stiff riding boot. Overall the style is spot on, but quality could be improved. They are super comfortable, I can wear them and walk in them day after day without issue. I am usually between a 7.5 and 8 and got a 8 and the fit is perfection.

I have gone through three pairs of these boots in the last three years. I keep buying them because they are adorable, comfortable enough, versatile, and really tie an outfit together. That being said, they're not built to last. I'm not particularly tough on my shoes, and these were worn 2-5 times per week max. I had to have the first pair re-soled after a few months, and ultimately had to replace them when the toe went. Cute boots, but the quality leaves a lot to be desired at this price. Fits true to size, slightly narrow in the toe. Leather is inconsistent quality and texture from pair to pair- I would know. :)

Kind of Narrow and Hard Inside. I have skinny feet and usually fit Mediums well, but I found this to be tight and narrow inside the foot bed. Plus they hurt the balls of my feet. I was bummed to have to return them.

These boots are too high on my leg. The leather is stiff and doesn't bend easily. The color was darker than what I expected and I don't like the textured look of the leather.

I was expecting more from this boot. Up close the leather looks cheap and the quality is just okay. They slouch down a lot. I haven't decided if I'll be keeping them. I'm just glad I didn't buy them at full price because they are not worth the price.

I LOVE the look of these boots. They look good with so many different outfits. They are pretty comfortable and a good fit. I love the look of the leather; not cheap looking in the slightest. However, there is barely anything (padding, lining, etc.) in the inside AND the SOLES ARE TERRIBLE. They are the cheapest soles I've ever seen/worn. I put up with them for a little over a year and just went to see how much it would cost to replace the soles are expensive! They have to replace the wedge part and the soles. The woman at the shoe repair store also told me that many, many women have come in with the exact same boots and exact same problem only 5-6 months after buying these boots. That should not happen. I was just in Steve Madden recently and although I love their styles and have a couple pairs of their snow and rain boots, I am going to be very skeptical about any other styles. Most of them have cheap, tacky looking wooden bottoms/soles now! That can't be safe, comfortable or durable. Ugh!

This review is for the stone leather boots. The boots did not quite live up to my expectations. The color does look better in the pics than in real life. Be careful what clothes you have on when you try them for the first time. I had white dye all over my black pants after struggling for a few minutes to get the right boot on because it was noticeably smaller than the left one and I couldn't get my foot past the vamp part initially. The boots run a bit narrow, however, leather does tend to loosen up so I'm hoping that the toe part will stretch a bit. On the other hand the calf shaft is so wide that if you wear the strap on the tightest or second to the tightest option, the leather at the top bunches up and the strap part sticks out in an unflattering way. I would not have purchased these boots at this price had I seen/tried them at the store.

I know people love these and I really tried to like them too, but they were a little big. I ordered an 8 and they were a little too big and they also looked a little bit cheap. Not for me.

Color is much lighter and better than it looks in the picture. Narrow toe, went up a half size but still a little tight on the toes if you wear them all day. I really love the look/style but not amazing as far as comfort. But fine for short amounts of time.

I am on my third request for this boot. The first pair seemed to small, the second pair seemed like one boot had been worn (the leather was cracked and worn looking while the second boot was stiff). I am trying once more...on a positive note, they are cute boots and fit over my large calves.

Very good timing but upon trying on, the belt on the side of my left boot broke off. Shoe has to be broken in. It's not the color anticipated (a little darker than screen).

Love the style and fit of this boot, but the leather on the toe box was very wrinkled and made it look cheap. Would have kept the boots if it was just a basic smooth leather material. Had to return.

I bought these boots in cognac and unfortunately had to return them due to the sizing. The toe is very narrow and the foot of the boot is somewhat small in comparison to other boots that I own. I usually wear an 8.5, and I ordered a 9 just to make sure I would have room for socks in the winter time. I tried on the 9, and when I tried them on, it felt like I was trying to cram my foot into a 7.5. I am going to try a size up like some of the other reviewers said, because I LOVE these boots. I hope they work out!

I love the look of these boots but had to return them. Just not comfortable.

For the price, these boots are slightly cheap looking. There are little flaws on the boots. I would've kept them because I am tired of searching for boots like these, but the left boot was tight around my toes and rubbed on my pinky toe. What's weird is I have owned wedge boots like these, but these ones make my feet wobble and I have to try to balance myself.

These boots were extremely uncomfortable the first two times I wore them, but eventually stretched out. The main issue was that after wearing them only five times, I noticed the sole of both boots was missing. I don't live in the city, and my job doesn't involve much walking.

I am so sad that these boots did not work out for me. The cognac color of the boots was not as pictured at all. I have seen these boots on other girls and mine did not look like theirs at all. They were also too tight in the toes and not true to their size. I am disappointed because of how expensive these were, too.

I was really disappointed by these boots. The brown leather looks mottled and the heel support in the right shoe makes it very hard to put the boot on.

I am seriously bummed about these shoes. The fit was too wide - I don't know why all shoe makers seem to think that larger feet equals bigger calves, but they do. However, I kept them anyway because they still looked cute, and they were so comfortable. About a couple weeks after I got them, the heel on boot completely came off. This is after walking only a few times with them, and never in the rain or mud. Extremely disappointing. Way too expensive for this kind of nonsense.

I knew as soon as I opened the box that I would return them. The leather does not look quality at all. Sad because the style is so very cute.
