The slight wedge heel is fantastic, and comfortable. The boots are beautiful and luxurious; there is a soft cloth lining inside. There is always a little slouch at the ankle where the top soft part of the boot flares wide and poufs a little. They look and feel great, and even though I'm looking for a slouch boot, these are pure 80s in a way I'm not sure I'll like a year from now.

The cognac color is not as shown and the soles are very thin under the toes. That being said these are extremely comfortable and very stylish. All of my colleagues constantly ask about them.

These boots are not made for people with skinny calves. They make you look like the boots are wearing you. Sending them back.

I was not happy with the quality of leather, it was too rough-looking and had some spots with discoloration. I'd suggest looking at them in store and selecting a pair in person.

Very cute. But the leather is really cheap looking. Looks like they will wear out really quick. They run super small. More than a full size to small. Have to return them.

I ordered this and found that the calf was large. I had to send them back. Otherwise, the leather was nice. I think the boot would be best for larger calves.

In person, the taupe/grey color looks and feels quite waxy. I didn't mind the look, but they felt too loose and wide both in the foot and the shaft, so I am returning them, since the overall fit was too sloppy to walk comfortably in.

These were the worst! What an odd cut for a pair of boots. the calf area is huge, so you lost the shape of your leg completely. I guess my calves are kind of skinny, but these were just swimming on me. color was okay but the boot is kinda cheap looking in real life, although kind of nice for the price. Ran big in the foot area too. Sending these back.

I just got these boots and love them, except for the plastic heel that makes them so slippery! The rest of the sole is fine, but for some reason the piece of plastic on the heel throws the whole boot off. I put them on, took a few steps, and my foot just slid out from under me. If I hadn't caught myself on the wall I would have fallen. I'm still debating whether or not it's worth a trip to the shoe repair shop to have the heel replaced in order to keep them. Might be a return.

I ordered these boots in an 8.5, which I always am. They felt very small. I could just barely fit my foot in it, and the calves were tight and inflexible. It was impossible to get them over jeans, although they could have been worn with tights. I was going to exchange them for a size 9, but Zappos was out of that size, so I ordered the Steve Madden Inka instead. Those fit great. The 9 feels like the right size, and there is a lot more room in the calves.

Super cute on some people, not so much on others. One of my girlfriends had these boots and she's petite (5'1" and slender) and they are amazing on her. I bought these in cognac, the color is a bit malted which is beautiful (the color varies from one pair to the next a bit). I bought these in 8 1/2, 9 and 9 1/2 because I wasn't sure. I normally wear a 8 1/2 and the 9 fit perfectly. Note on height, I'm 5'7" with muscular calves and they went all the way to my knee cap, and I had to put them on the smallest buckle hole to get them to stay up. Ultimately these were all returned. They were all scratched and scuffed when I received them. After sporting them around the house a bit, they just didn't look right. They are a bit floppy, and do bulge out the top when you tighten them down. However, they they were fairly comfortable. Pros: Stylish, Comfy, Easy to get on and off. Cons: Easily damaged (obviously),Very slouchy (you have to tighten them to make them stay smooth), wedge heel is easy to slip on. Suggestions: Nordstom and Endless are selling these for less. Nine West, Aldo and Target all have similar boots for much less (Target isn't leather, but at least you won't feel guilty if you only wear them twice).

Cool but uncomfortable -
This boot is so cool-looking but oh! The pain! There is virtually no padding at all and as a result they are so painful to walk around in. By the end of the day I am nearly in tears. But on the bright side, they look great with dresses!

I really wanted these to work -
After browsing for tan wedge boots for a month, I was super excited when I came across these boots. However, when they came, they barely fit my somewhat wide feet plus the shaft was too high. What the description doesn't tell you is the shaft gets longer as the shoe gets bigger. The opening is also rather large and looks floppy. This boot would be great on a taller gal with not too skinny calves and narrow feet.

I fell in love with these boots cause of the color. When I first got them I wore them once and then a few times in December . These boots are horrible. In December the heel came off the boot like I was walking in the street and it came off the third time I wore them . I didn't realize until I got to work and there was no sole smh. Then recently I noticed the sole is now breaking off a And the leather is listing at the bottom. I paid 112 for these boots this is not acceptable. As usual zappos once there items returned with no wear or tear. I'm really disappointed because I spent over 200 dollars on two boots and I'm basically going to have to replenish these boots for next season... total waste of money. I will not be ordering from zappos again .

I bought these boots exactly two months ago. They're extremely versatile, so I've been wearing them a lot. I noticed a little discoloration on the back of both heels about two weeks in. A few days ago, the entire front part of the sole on one of the boots starting coming loose. I either have to buy a new pair of boots next season or get these re-soled. While I definitely recommend these for style and comfort, the quality is extremely disappointing. Don't buy them unless you'd like to be in the market for a new pair two months from now.

I was very disappointed by the fit and quality of these boots. I normally fit medium width shoes but found these to be very very tight around the foot area. Furthermore, the leather and overall construction of the boot appeared low quality for the price tag. I returned them!

I've tried on this boot a few times in the Steve Madden store. I didn't like how they fit last year and should have taken that as a clue. I thought they may have updated the fit and quality.
The leather isn't very good quality. And the shoe part of the boot is so stiff and uncomfortable. They're hard to get on/off. The color is nice though!

Love the color but it didn't fit around my leg, which is a common problem for me when it comes to higher boots. On top of that the "foot" portion is not comfortable and very stiff and digs in when you walk.

I really loved the look of these boots. I bought them in the black and the brown. On BOTH of the pairs the plastic black part from the heal come off. This are just CHEAPLY made boots and they will NOT last. Both pairs fell apart after only a few wears.

These boots suck. The leather is much thicker and bumpy then in the photo. There is no zipper on them, and they are very narrow, I could barely get them on, and had a hard time taking them off. I will definitely be returning them.

These shoes began to fall apart after less than a month. The bottom sole is peeling off, and the heels have completely worn off. This shoe is NOT worth the price.

These boots were a major disappointment. I ordered the dark brown color and was unhappy overall with the color and quality. The boot is very flimsy and cheap looking. I expected much more for the price. The style is nice, however, the fit seemed a bit off, although I only tried on one because I was sure after seeing the shoe that it was being returned. Maybe the other colors are better?
