These sandals are not practical, unless you consider spending several minutes before putting them on each time to re-adjust the straps. My last pair of Chacos didn't cause so many problems but I would return these if I hadn't already worn them outside. Even after many wears, the straps haven't settled in.

After wearing the Chacos for 10 minutes I could not get comfortable. I tried to adjust the straps but after ten to twenty steps my big toe turned purple and was getting strangled. I am not alone and it seems to be very common for the latest design. I'm taking them back.

I've worn Chacos for years and my latest experience with them is the straps tighten as you walk, choking the toe. No amount of readjusting keeps this phenomenon from recurring.

This shoe did not work for me because as I walked the ankle strap loosened and the other straps tightened up. I have different styles of this brand and I love them. I wanted something that was easy to slip on and off and this shoe did not do that.

I am not thrilled with these shoes. I wish I'd spent the extra money and gotten the Z/1 Vibram Unaweeps. My mother, sister and a friend have the Unaweeps and love them. The Zongs are too narrow and the strap across the toe gets very tight as I walk while the strap across the top of my foot loosens. I messed with the straps over & over the first day I wore them. Since I did wear them, I couldn't return them so I'm stuck. So I wear them anyway but since they are so narrow they rub a spot on my foot.

I bought these for a trip to Sri Lanka. They look great however they are very, very, very difficult to adjust. Also, after wearing and walking for about an hour the previously adjusted straps would shift and my big toes would lose circulation - the walking motion and constant pulling on the adjustable straps caused them to pull and tighten over time. Mid-day I would have to stop, take them off and have my husband re-adjust the straps for me. This went on every day for 3 weeks. Such a bummer.

There is a major design flaw with the Zong. The straps will self tighten as you wear them, which will cause them to become uncomfortably tight around the big toe. I had to return mine because I would have to adjust them every 100 feet I walked and I am looking for shoes I can trek around in for hours at a time.

I've had these sandals for a few months now and I really want to like them because they are such a good looking sandal, but they are uncomfortable. I spend most of my day loosening and readjusting the straps to relieve pain from one place on my foot or another-its usually right over my big toe where two of the straps cross over. Since I spend most of my day pulling on the straps I noticed that the rubber is ripping where the toe strap goes through from the abuse of constantly having to pull the straps. I've had Chacos flip flops before and loved them. I was thinking these would be just as comfortable but the straps on this particular style are a nightmare. I'll buy Chacos again but definitely not this style!

HORRIBLE...could not be more uncomfortable. Thin, hard straps--felt like they would burn off my epidermis while walking. Try the Z1 or Z2 instead--much superior sandal & strap.

Such a cute sandal, but the toe strap is unbearable. No matter how much adjusting I do, it tightens and turns my big toes purple when I walk. They'll have to go back... sadly.
