Beautifully designed and very comfortable. I got a half size up for extra toe room, and it fits comfortably with thick socks. I wanted the soles to be high enough where I don't feel the ground, especially rocks while hiking and it does just that without being too heavy.

I use this boot for walking my dog on grass hiking trails for three seasons of the year. I also use it for outdoor projects and gardening.

Ended up opting for these because I needed a comfortable hiking boot requiring minimal break in time- ahead of a hiking trip. Took these out for an initial spin today- after about 5 1/2 hours I have to say these are supportive, protective, and as described to me really didn't need much break in at all. They also weren't too hot on a summer day! New favorite boot!

bought these for a summer hiking trip, i have a weaker ankle so wanted the support but also something lightweight for week long backpacking. didn't get the chance to break them in very much and they were still comfortable! ended up convincing my friend to buy a pair too!

I purchased these boots years ago for a week-end walking trip along the Appalachian Trail. They were always comfortable and invincible! Then when I retired I started using them all the time walking in the woods. When they wore out finally so I purchased another. These are performing great as usual but need another pair. I wouldn't buy another kind.

I spend a lot of time in fields and forest hunting or training hunting dogs, these are my go to boots. I walk miles in them with no fatigue, cramping or soreness in my feet - ever! My feet stay dry and warm in cold weather and ventilated in warm weather. Love these boots!

I had a pair that was similar and appears to have been replaced with this version, which is just as good if not better than the previous pair that I completely wore out over approximately ten years. The reason I chose this style is for the extremely high arch support that I have not been able to find anywhere else. I wear these shoes everywhere and they are my go to shoe. I wear them just about every day from the moment I walk out the door first thing in the morning til I shut down for the night. They took about a week to break in comfortably and I can not stand the round laces (keep coming untied if not tied tight enough).

I love these boots so much. They were super comfortable right out of the box and have held up well under snowy conditions so far. I look forward to hiking many many miles in these bad boys. Get you a pair!

Very well made and comfortable. My old pair is still in great shape but a little too rough looking now to wear when I am going out.

Nearly 5 or 6 years ago, I purchased the Timberland Chocorua Trail boots for my wife. She absolutely loves them! The boots lasted a long time, in fact the tread is still good and the boots are solid! My wife uses them for hiking, they are good for winter/colder weather, and even walking. The Goretex, Timberland waterproofing, and leather is excellent! I could not find a better boot for the price by any other manufacturer. The boots are waterproof as described. They have been through Snow, creeks, and rain....stay dry....keeping the feet warm and dry.
I purchased a 2nd pair for my wife this Christmas! The color is a darker brown vs the lighter almond that I purchased years ago. I am hoping she loves them just the same.

I had these boots years ago and they lasted years! Finally bought a new pair - what took me so long? They are once again my go-to shoe. Ridiculously comfortable and supportive and I love the look. Great on difficult hikes and easy walks in the park.

Just got the boots yesterday and have been wearing them around NYC all day. SO COMFORTABLE!! I have neuropathy in my feet and I got the 9 1/2 Wide, my toes have never felt so free. My normal size is a 9-9 1/2 Medium width, I got them on the larger size for thick winter socks. I am 5’4” and 130 lbs and they do not seem to clunky or bulky to me.

I had it for 11 good years till the soles fell off when I was shoveling last winter. So glad that shoe is still on the market. I'm ordering it again!

These Timberland Gore-Tex Chocorua Trail Hiking women's boots are the best I have ever had in my life...and I've had quite a few of them over the years! To the reviewer who said the waterproofing doesn't last more than 1.5 years, my goodness! Just get the Balm Proofer Protector and apply to your boots; they will be waterproof again. That's just basic boot care. Seriously! Anyway, I am about to purchase another pair. My others are still in great shape. I just want to have a spare in case Timberland stops making these (PLEASE DON'T!!!). These boots are the most comfortable after many hours on your feet, they look great, and are extremely supportive. I have no foot pain wearing these boots and for me, there was no break-in period at all. Many times I wear them for daily use; not even hiking, just around town. Supreme comfort, durability, and awesomeness in boots! I couldn't ask for more in a hiking boot. If you are looking for great hikers, or just want a totally comfortable boot, buy these. Just buy these! You will not be disappointed!

And that's just what they'll do! I go on fairly frequent 10mi+ hikes, work as a carpenter and spend long days on my feet, and walk at least 25 miles a week just commuting to and from work and running errands. These boots are holding up well for their first year of being put through the ringer and they made an amazing difference in my energy. They feel so comfortable even after a 12hr day at work that my feet don't feel nearly as tired.

Boots fit well right out of the box. I wore these boots hiking in Utah for three days with no breaking in period whatsoever. They are very comfortable. I have wide feet and was concerned they’d pinch my feet because I ordered the normal width in my regular size (Zappos didn’t have wide in my size), but I had no issues at all! I can’t speak as to how waterproof they are yet though. They’re hiking boots so they’re not going to be the most stylish, but these are a great pair at a very good price

This is my second pair. I LOVE these boots. Very comfortable from day one. I wear them almost daily for a variety of activities: gardening, walking, working in my woodworking shop. The water proof feature is nice since we received a lot of rain this year. And, I've received unsolicited compliments on the boots.
I highly recommend these boots for daily outdoor activities and lite to moderate hiking. I my opinion, they would not be "stiff enough/supportive enough" for rigorous hiking or backpacking. Just my opinion.

These are very nice looking boots. I am writing this review without having used them to hike yet. But I love them. The leather is nice and the shoe is really light. It fits perfectly in the heal with room for my toes. It's perfect. I removed the insole to use my custom orthotics. The only thing that will take getting used to is the feeling around my lower leg, but that would have been the same with any boot I bought. No regrets here.

It fits like a hiking boot should, holds my heal in place and plenty of room for my toes in hiking socks. I love the style and they are really light weight. I will probably wear them for a lot more than just hiking because they look so good. I have custom orthotics so I just removed the thin insert that came with the shoe.

I usually wear a size 7.5 in athletic shoes and an 8 in boots but bought these in a 8W to have plenty of room for thick hiking socks. Glad I did! Fit great and no breaking in time!
