Purchased these to wear with my snow shoes along with wool socks. I like where the top of the boot hits on my calf, very comfortable so far, anxious to try them out walking in our woods behind the house.

I love these boots. Mine are about 15 years old and just like new. For five years or so I put a lot of miles on them walking daily in nasty NY winters. I just came here to see if I could get a black pair but no luck. :( I have very difficult feet and weak ankles. These boots are super comfy as well as sturdy and supportive. I normally wear a 7 1/2 but bought these in an 8. I think you will be happy if you give these a try.

Fantastic fit and comfort, and they are perfect right out of the box. No breaking in period needed. I wear them daily to walk my dog (3-4 miles) and the support is great. I also use for hiking. Can't go wrong with these boots.

Wonderful quality, style & comfort at excellent price! My 2nd pr of Timberland waterproof hikers. They keep my feet dry even in soggy grass. :)

I actually ordered a half size up because I have prescription insoles that I must wear. The boots look and feel great. I ordered some mink oil in a tin and applied it. They look even better and are further protected. ?

Fantastic fit. The wide width is perfect but it still fits well in the heel (doesn’t slip). Can’t wait to use these for hiking in cold/wet weather.
Of course the Zappos delivery service was outstanding as usual.

I bought my first pair of Chocorua's while visiting a friend in Alaska... 12 years ago and since then they have always been my most comfortable and favorite pair of shoes. They were my work boots, hunting boots, hiking boots, farming boots and anything that it was possible to use them for. The sole finally let go of the toe and front half of my shoe while we've been building our pole shed and I was EXTREMELY bummed thinking I wouldn't be able to replace them. Luckily, I found them here and my new ones are just as comfy! I have even converted my husband to this style in Men's and he loves them just as much (although he's harder on them and is on his 2nd or 3rd pair by now). ABSOLUTELY recommend this boot!!!

Beautifully designed and very comfortable. I got a half size up for extra toe room, and it fits comfortably with thick socks. I wanted the soles to be high enough where I don't feel the ground, especially rocks while hiking and it does just that without being too heavy.

I use this boot for walking my dog on grass hiking trails for three seasons of the year. I also use it for outdoor projects and gardening.

Ended up opting for these because I needed a comfortable hiking boot requiring minimal break in time- ahead of a hiking trip. Took these out for an initial spin today- after about 5 1/2 hours I have to say these are supportive, protective, and as described to me really didn't need much break in at all. They also weren't too hot on a summer day! New favorite boot!

bought these for a summer hiking trip, i have a weaker ankle so wanted the support but also something lightweight for week long backpacking. didn't get the chance to break them in very much and they were still comfortable! ended up convincing my friend to buy a pair too!

I purchased these boots years ago for a week-end walking trip along the Appalachian Trail. They were always comfortable and invincible! Then when I retired I started using them all the time walking in the woods. When they wore out finally so I purchased another. These are performing great as usual but need another pair. I wouldn't buy another kind.

I spend a lot of time in fields and forest hunting or training hunting dogs, these are my go to boots. I walk miles in them with no fatigue, cramping or soreness in my feet - ever! My feet stay dry and warm in cold weather and ventilated in warm weather. Love these boots!

I had a pair that was similar and appears to have been replaced with this version, which is just as good if not better than the previous pair that I completely wore out over approximately ten years. The reason I chose this style is for the extremely high arch support that I have not been able to find anywhere else. I wear these shoes everywhere and they are my go to shoe. I wear them just about every day from the moment I walk out the door first thing in the morning til I shut down for the night. They took about a week to break in comfortably and I can not stand the round laces (keep coming untied if not tied tight enough).

I love these boots so much. They were super comfortable right out of the box and have held up well under snowy conditions so far. I look forward to hiking many many miles in these bad boys. Get you a pair!

Very well made and comfortable. My old pair is still in great shape but a little too rough looking now to wear when I am going out.

Nearly 5 or 6 years ago, I purchased the Timberland Chocorua Trail boots for my wife. She absolutely loves them! The boots lasted a long time, in fact the tread is still good and the boots are solid! My wife uses them for hiking, they are good for winter/colder weather, and even walking. The Goretex, Timberland waterproofing, and leather is excellent! I could not find a better boot for the price by any other manufacturer. The boots are waterproof as described. They have been through Snow, creeks, and rain....stay dry....keeping the feet warm and dry.
I purchased a 2nd pair for my wife this Christmas! The color is a darker brown vs the lighter almond that I purchased years ago. I am hoping she loves them just the same.

I had these boots years ago and they lasted years! Finally bought a new pair - what took me so long? They are once again my go-to shoe. Ridiculously comfortable and supportive and I love the look. Great on difficult hikes and easy walks in the park.

Just got the boots yesterday and have been wearing them around NYC all day. SO COMFORTABLE!! I have neuropathy in my feet and I got the 9 1/2 Wide, my toes have never felt so free. My normal size is a 9-9 1/2 Medium width, I got them on the larger size for thick winter socks. I am 5’4” and 130 lbs and they do not seem to clunky or bulky to me.

I had it for 11 good years till the soles fell off when I was shoveling last winter. So glad that shoe is still on the market. I'm ordering it again!
