I was on the fence on what size to order. I usually wear a size 8 or 8.5 depending on the shoe. I ordered the 8.5 and I am glad I did. It felt perfect. I like that this shoe has a roomy toebox. They took a little breaking in around the ankle but I never got a blister and after two short hikes I feel that they are perfect!! I also hiked through puddles and my socks did not get wet. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase and that is saying alot because my feet are very sensitive!

I use these boots for walking and hiking. Very comfortable. My foot would be consider normal with a high arch. Sizes remained the same thru out the years unlike clothes. LOL. fyi: the 1 size up for me is because my feet are wide and the shoe comes in medium very comfortable fit even when new.

I used these boots for the first time when hiking Mount Mitchell in early spring. Because of the variable weather along the ridge, I was worried about whether or not these boots would stay dry while trudging through water, snow, and mud. Gore-Tex is amazing and although the outside of the boots were soaked, my toes never got wet! I am extremely impressed with the quality of these boots and can't wait to wear them on more adventures!

I love this boot. However it does run small. Normally wear an 8. 8.5 fit great without a sock. But ordered a 9 so I could wear socks.

I live in an area that gets 11 feet of rain every year and I wear them every day. They feel like wearing slippers that are waterproof! I love them! My only problem is they do not ship to Canada so I have to arrange to get them shipped to a friend who lives in the US.

I bought this pair of shoes for a hiking trip to Sri Lanka's hill country. I absolutely loved them. I usually wear size 39-40, depending on the brand and type of shoe, and in order to be on the safe side I ordered size 40 which happened to be half a size bigger for me but it was perfect for hiking. My toes felt good during a 8km hike from easy to hard track. Only towards the end of the walk I felt lil bit of pain in my toes but nothing serious. I loved the grip and the fact that they are pretty light. Didn't have any contact with water so I can't comment on the waterproofing part. It's my first pair of Timberlands and definitely not the last.

Love the look, the fit size, and the comfortability factor. A little stiff at first, but broken in within the first day. My first pair of Timberlands lasted 20+ years; I hope these do the same.

I was desperate for some hiking boots in Kathmandu, and I bought these on a whim. I was nervous about hiking 96 miles in these without breaking them in. It was the best purchase I could have made. They're very durable, waterproof, and comfortable boots. We hiked EBC and I only got one blister- and it was from a fold in my sock. I use them every opportunity I get, then and now.

When I first bought the boot's they were a little bit tight in width, after wearing them a few times they had stretched and were so comfortable. I sled dog race in New Zealand and wear these too most races and training. If it is really cold I wear my Sorrels (also bought through you) Best boot's ever, keep up the great work team. Thank You

LIght weight hiking boot. Good leather and gore tex for water protection. Haven't hiked yet, but feels like the toe area is going to be plenty of room for my cramped toes. Like the leather with the gore tex and hope the protection from water really works. Shipping took a bit longer than expected, but hopefully worth the wait. Timberland makes great products.

I have had 10 pair of these boots. They are water proof and they are really good in the winter and I walk in them also with no problem.

I have now had two pairs of these boots and I love them. I have a job where I walk upwards of 7-9 miles a day over rough terrain or in the desert (no trails) and they are always comfortable at the end of the day. These boots also fit my narrow foot, which is something that I struggle with in other brands.

Love these boots! Took them out of the box and worked in the yard for 3 hours and then wore them on an 8 mile hike the next day. I have lots of foot issues and these boots provide comfort and support.

I needed replacement for my old Timberland hiking boots. I ordered these Vasque and Merrell. Timberland are very comfortable, nice support but little wide even for my wide feet with bunions. Merrell boot were very comfortable, but not high enough to provide ankle support. Vasque were snug and perfect.
I'd also recommend:
Vasque

Very pleased with these boots! After reading the reviews, I ordered my regular size - 9W - and one size up - 9.5W - to make sure I got the best fit. To my surprise, the 9W felt perfect, with enough room for a winter hiking sock. Plenty of width for me - and I occasionally find wides aren't wide enough. I wore them around the house the first day, then took them out on the trail yesterday for an hour. Toward the end of my hike I thought: I feel like I'm wearing slippers! I don't find these heavy or clunky at all, though if you're looking for a really lightweight and minimal hiking shoe, this may be too much boot for you. I like the ankle support, and the sole is not so heavy that can't feel the trail under my feet. Plenty of traction for my day-hiking style. Very easy on/off. I got the brown/balsam green, and they are just what I wanted -- a classic leather hiking boot look. (I'm not into bright colors on my feet.) This is my first pair of Timberlands, and I'm so glad these come in a wide width. I could feel right away why this is such a popular boot.

Haven't actually done any hiking in these boots yet, but so far so good for casual wear. I ordered a wide and they fit well, but a little on the snug side. I think they jusy need to be worn in a little.

Use these largely for hiking but they're incrediblly versatile for anything. If I'm walking a lot I'll end up wearing these even if it's only around a city. Waterproof and totally functional even in the snow - I've been snowshoeing in them. Love the ankle support. Flattering shoe - minor problem is I find the laces came undone sometimes when I first started wearing them because of the metal hook lace things for the last two holes but once I started tying them tighter and got used to it it wasn't a problem. Love these so much!!!
