This is my first Salomon shoe- I \'live\' outside and these shows are ready for anything I can throw at them. I use them with orthopedic inserts and even when I didn\'t have my inserts they were super comfortable. The shoe is not loose or tight ANYWHERE. The tightening system is quick and easy, and their grip is good too. I contemplated getting the GTX with Gore-Tex and saved myself some money, but I might try them for my next pair. I recommended these to my friends- I recommend them to you too.

These shoes look even better in person. Best looking and most comfortable shoes hands down. After my first pair, bought 2 more pair (I collect shoes and to make sure I had replacement pair just in case this style was discontinued). Swamp/moss is best color combo. Zappos is obviously the best in service.

Great shoe with arch support. I have a bad knee and this is the only walking / running shoe that gives me the support I needed.

The shoes were everything they were advertised to be. The lace system works fantastic and the fit is perfect. The service through Zappos continues to be outstanding.

I bought these for my husband. He says this shoe is very light and feels true to size. The styling is eye catching, and the quick lace system is unique. You won't have to worry about the laces coming untied. Overall, he says the Salomon XA Pro 3D ultra is a fantastic shoe. Would I buy them again? I certainly would! He absolutely loves them.

Second pair of Salomons. Great for winter mud and snow but get too hot in summer. Sizing is slightly narrower than my first pair. Highly recommended.

I've had these shoes about a month and I'm really liking them. They are very unusual. Firm support in the heel and arch like a hiking boot, roomy and light in the front. I actually feel a breeze in my toes. But I get a firm grip on the trail on day hikes.

These are great shoes for my cross-country walks. I especially like the unique shoe string design which allows me to quickly tighten them.I had a similar pair prior to this pair and they lasted about 1 year, but I wore them morning and afternoon for my daily walks through the rough terrain where I live. Even though the unique shoe string design makes them easy to use on the shoes, the only drawback I see with the shoes are the shoe strings. Once they break, it is impossible to replace them in the functioning form they were originally intended. I had to find thin shoe strings and thread them through the loops and tie them. I couldn't see throwing the shoes away because of the problem with the shoe strings. These shoes will definitely outlast the shoe strings so be prepared to find thin, tough shoe strings to replace them when the original strings break.

These shoes are so light and durable that I had to purchase them again. The last pair lasted me a year and I use them on a daily basis. They're great for running, hiking, just about anything that you are wanting to do related to exercise. The support is also incredible. Especially flat-footed folks like myself.

This was my first trial of Zappos. The shoes I bought were a brand unknown to me but I bought them based on their reviews plus the ability to return them if they weren\'t right for me. The reviews were on target and the fit of the Salomon shoes were the best I have ever had. The only drawback was the shoelaces. I like the closed loop design and the ease of lacing them up but they were too short, which forces me to use a shoehorn to get them on. But the rest of the features were so good that I decided it was a small penalty for what was otherwise a perfect shoe for me.

I bought the wides for my wide flat feet. The shoes seem to run a size smaller than typical but with zappos shipping buy as many sizes as yu want ans send back what you dont want. The se shoes have grear arch support. I love the lacing system (if it dosnt break). Seens to be a good shoe. Just sixe up.
