Great shoes. I use them for all sorts of activities, including tennis (which may be a no-no, but no problems yet).

This is one of the best trail shoes I have ever had. My wife had a pair and raved about them. I bought a pair and liked them so much I sent a pair to my brother who got me into running. I usually take a 10 2 or 4E, the 10 wide fit well, it seemed slightly snug but the lacing system is strange, once dialed in they are perfect. I run 100% trail in very deep sandy conditions and they work great. Only downside is the price.

Great Trail Runners. Great Fit. Durable. Best lace system built. I wouldn't run with them on the street, but great for trail. Solid footing in mud and sand. I haven't trail run in anything else for more that 3 years. I'll keep buying them.

Excellent shoe. With a name that is associated with skiing and snowboarding for so many years. Only one could expect such quality to carry through and influence such a quality shoe. I am a believer and will buy another pair once these eventually wear out.

These shoes are great for trails. They grip really well and they are very supportive. The lacing system is wonderful. These are like gloves for my feet; no hot spots.

This is the fourth pair I\'ve purchased. I\'ve tried about four similar brands but these last longer and give the best support.

These are the ultimate trail running shoes: Good protection from rocks under foot, but still flexible enough to feel the trail; solid toe bumper and grippy rubber sole; best-in-class speed lacing system; fast draining after water crossings. Highly recommended!

The Salomon's more than impressed me with how they look and feel. I can't wait to hit the trail next week in Vermont.

I have used Salomon running shoes off and on since the first XA, and this version is up with the best. I run on mostly on rocky technical trails, paths, grass, off-trail, and occasionally on pavement to get to/from a trail. This year's version seems to have a bit more cushioning than previous models but not so much as to make it wobbly in rough stuff. I wouldn't use it as a road shoe, though. It has good forefoot protection, much better than the mushy Salomon XT Wings which I used last year. Salomon's fit is now like their current owner Adidas, namely slightly curved and snug through the arch. There is arch support and mild anti-pronation features built in, but I prefer a higher arch so I use an after-market insole. The sole has great grip on everything except the slickest mud or ice, and the snug fit provides for excellent side to side control. I have used the Salomon lace system on running shoes and XC-ski race boots for more than a decade, and I really like it. There are a couple of tricks that help keep it tight--after an initial snug, a quick tug on the instep lace followed by snugging the keeper below its tongue pocket before storage works like a charm. I found Salomon XA shoes to be very durable. I have a couple of old pairs with compressed cushioning that I now use for casual wear, mowing the lawn, etc. They take a long time to wear out. I'm 5'11", 165 lbs., with a higher than average arch, and the Salomon XA Pro 3D Ultras are my favorite trail running shoes. I forgot to mention that I went back to the XA Pro 3D Ultra after being repeatedly injured while using other shoes. If it fits your foot, I think the XA Pro 3D is an excellent shoe. A great running shoe with Zappos' excellent service is a winning combination.

Awesome shoes. I have been buying Salomon shoes for years now (always this similar model) and they've held up incredible well.

Lacing system stays snug on runs...very cool and comfortable. Overall, very happy with my first Salomon purchase.

I was reluctant to drop this amount of money on these shoes, but I am definitely glad I did. So far I have used them for running and hiking and they are awesome! They are very supportive and have excellent return.

My 16-year-old son was looking for a retro pair of gym shoes and after ordering several pairs for him to try out he really liked the styling and color combination on these Adidas. They're more understated than some of the brighter colors.

Shoe was delivered next day as promised.I walk 5 miles per day minimum and at the end of my walk I my feet feels great. They have become my favorite shoe. I wear them to the mall just about anywhere I go. They are worth every dollar I spent. The lacing system needs little work or getting used to.

These are probably the most comfortable running/light hiking shoes I have ever worn. They are my second pair. The first pair are still functioning, but some of the tread has worn down. There are better soles for climbing on granite or for off trail hiking, but for your general trail use I think these can’t be beat. They arrived quickly overnight. Thanks Zappos!

GOD These shoes are SICK! I have a pair of Salomon XT Wings GTX, and they are good as anything on snowy/wet hike/trail run. Love them, I've had them for 6 months they still look good as new minus the soil. I got the XA Pro 3D Ultras because the XT Wings GTX are waterproof and a little bulkier, and I wanted something a little more lightweight and breathable for the summer. These hit it on the nail head with lightweight and breathability, not to mention they fit awesome and look way sick!

The best shoe I have ever owned - I rarely write reviews online, but feel compelled to for these shoes. I do a lot of hiking, backpacking, and play a lot of sports. These shoes have been excellent for all of those activities, yes, I even backpack in these now instead of boots. They are incredibly comfortable and very durable. I have beaten these up for a year now and they still have not fallen apart. I will be picking up another pair soon. Thank you Solomon!

Wow, I really like these shoes. Of the 4 pairs of shoes I ordered off the internet recently, this pair is my favorite. Very comfortable right out of the box! The heel is not excessively high so you don’t feel off balance in any way. I like the shoe lace system AS LONG AS it holds up. It looks fairly sturdy and like it would last the life of the shoes. If it were to break, you could rig up something, but it wouldn’t be easy. I got the Black/Autobahn/Pewter only because they didn’t have the Aluminum/Autobahn/Folio in my size (14) that I really wanted. But the color I got is still pretty nice.

Comfortable, light, easy on and easy off. Great for running of hiking trails.

These are the 4th pair of Salomons that I have owned and I gotta say I’m disappointed in this particular pair. Something is very wrong with the insole/cushioning. These were supposed to be trail shoes, but you feel every rock like it’s coming though the bottom of the sole. The insole just doesn’t offer much cushioning at all. They look fantastic, but do not wear well. I should have sent them back, but it’s too late now. I will probably have to buy some nice insets to get the cushioning and support I need. Try them on and wear them around the house before you go outside and make sure they are comfortable.

Okay, so this is my first sneaker bought from Salomon, and I can happily say it won't be my last! Aside from the kooky lace set up, they are amazing! They look and feel great, the most comfortable sneaker right out of the box. I have a slightly wide foot and E width was perfect for me. I love putting these on!

Very comfortable shoe. My foot is on the narrow side and fit is perfect. This is my second Salomon shoe and both are great.

I purchased these for my husband. I shouldn't have mentioned the comments about the laces I read on Zappos because he complained about them as soon as he was putting the shoes on. I told him to get what I told him out of his head and just try the shoes. He put the shoes on, and has been wearing them in the house for the past two days and he says "they are a keeper" and can't wait to go hiking with them this upcoming week. He likes that they are lightweight. Initially he thought the top of the toe box was tight, but said after two days they are perfect.
