Way too small! I usually wear an 11 in sandals, so after reading the reviews, I decided to go with a 42. Alas, still FAR too small! My toes hung over the edge and my heel dangled a bit off the back. The footbed seems lovely and the leather is very soft, but I find that the larger this shoe gets, the less attractive it becomes. I saw it on display in a size 36 at Nordstrom's and I thought it was sort of chunky in a cute way. In a size 42 it looks monstrous. Ordering it in 43 isn't going to help, either. Great idea in concept, lousy in execution. They're going to have to go back.

Loved this sandal until one of them fell apart. They're cute and ultra-comfortable, but the stitching on one of the sides has come completely undone after only 3 weeks of intermittent wear. I have three other pair of Dansko’s that are at least 3 years old and have seen a lot of wear that are in nearly new condition. What happened, Dansko? Why the lemon?

I'd written another review immediately after getting these shoes. I wish I could edit it. I took these shoes on vacation to Vegas and hoped to do a lot of walking. That didn't happen. The balls of my feet were hot, I got blisters, and I was not comfortable. I wouldn't recommend this style for a lot of walking. Fits true to size, but not comfy for long walks. I like that you can adjust the width to suit you, but my poor feet. My other Dansko's are amazing though!

I understand that shoes eventually wear out, but for over $100, I expect them to last more than one season. And since Dansko makes such a big deal about their Dri-Lex footbed, I'd expect it to actually keep odors away, like it says. One of the reasons I bought this shoe was because of Dansko's reputation for durability. I'm so disappointed!

It's now been a year since I ordered these shoes, and I am about to retire them. My huge complaint is that the elastic that keeps the buckle on is worn out and about to tear, and I really haven't worn them that much. Very disappointing for an expensive shoe like this. Also, I ordered the Nubuck suede. It's very neutral, but kind of looks like an orthopedic shoe. I would recommend one of the darker colors instead!

These are cute, but when I got them, I was disappointed. They are not as well made as other Danskos I have. The soles are a different kind of plastic and the leather seems cheap and stiff. In addition, the side of the shoe rubbed the inside of my foot. Too bad! I have to return them.

I love and hate this shoe. Initially, I bought and returned this shoe two times to get the right size. My normal size for Danskos left my toes hanging off the end. After getting the shoes that fit, I was happy with the way they looked and felt. Then, I was forced to return them again because the ankle strap broke free from the place it meets the sole cushioning. I ordered them AGAIN (clearly, I like them) and after wearing them a couple months the place where the shoe meets the sole cushioning came apart again, this time in near the ball of the foot area. I am so disappointed because style and comfort-wise the shoes are so cute, but I don’t think I am meant to have them. I have worn Danskos for many years and have been disappointed in the quality. I also have a pair of Marcelles which have a broken strap.

This shoe was originally very comfortable, and a staple of my summer work wardrobe. Unfortunately, the elastic part of the strap is cheaply made, and it wore out quickly and detached from the shoe. Unacceptable for a shoe of this price.

Adorable, but not durable - I love the look of these - they are retro & clunky-cute and there's really nothing else like them out there. I ordered it a year ago and they were perfect at first. I will admit I am hard on shoes, and I did wear these a lot - nearly every day in the summer, and I walked in them quite a bit. But the strap is already coming apart from the shoe and they are almost unwearable. I expected more from $100+ Danskos! I may take them to a shoe repair place, but I don't know - the footbed is absorbent, impossible to clean, and gets really dirty. I am disappointed to say I wouldn't order these again.

I am disappointed with these shoes and the only reason is that I have only worn them for about 6 months and the strap near the heel/base of shoe broke! They still look new and I have barely worn in any of the tread.

The sizing seems really off for Danskos. This shoe was listed as "43 (US Women's 12.5-13)." I don't know if it's a true 43, but it is certainly not a US 12.5 -- at most it's a US 11. Not even an 11.5.

I bought the Brandy \r\nGecko color-Sissy. The outer covering on the heel started to peel off within 24 hours. The only other colors that had a better heel were black. I got my money back but was very disappointed. They fit perfectly and the arch support was so comfortable I hated to bring them back.

This is my first time ever writing a review on a product. I bought this sandal about six months ago and the elastic on the side that buckles the sandal is breaking apart. The rubber in the elastic is literally breaking and falling apart. This is really a shame for sandals at this price. I see that there are a lot of 5 star reviews, but I hope those are reviews after wearing it over several months.

I bought these be cause I have plantars faciitis. Well they did not work. good shoe though. But the leather kept burting my foot bones and the shoes felt vrey heavy. I\'m sure these work for most people but I had to return them. Shame I was really looking for a good shoe.

Awful! The strap on one side came totally unglued! This is unacceptable quality for the price. They were sort of OK for the few wears before that, though pretty clumpy and not really as comfortable as I'd have liked. I won't buy Dansko again.

I\'ve worn Dansko exclusively for several years, but no more. Purchased Sissy in two colors and returned both immediately. Leather is insubstantial compared to other, older Dansko\'s. Sockliner is likely to become dirty quickly and will not be cleanable. Overall, I think cheap materials are now the new norm for this brand.

So disappointing. I have worn Dansko shoes for many years, so when I saw this cute new sandal in a classic/retro style, I was elated. But this sandal is HORRIBLE. I keep my feet very clean, but the synthetic footbed got stained, matted, and smelly after only a few months. The straps RIPPED off the sandal, and I had to have them repaired twice. Also, almost all Dansko sizes run extremely small. Size 42 is NOT the same as US 12 - it's a very small 11. The sizing is way off, the quality is terrible, and I'm so disappointed with Dansko. For many years, they made beautiful and long-lasting shoes. I'd hate to think they were cutting costs with this cheaply-made, synthetic horrible sandal. I had to throw this sandal away after only five months of owning it. I'm terribly disappointed. I'm sending a copy of this review to Dansko--I can't imagine why they would produce such a badly-made shoe with such cheap materials.

Comfy footbed, but very uncomfortable hard leather straps - I usually love Dansko, and after I read all the positive reviews here about this sandal, I was excited to try it. But once I tried it on and wore it for a walk around the block, I immediately knew I could never wear it. VERY uncomfortable! The straps are made of a very hard leather. They cut into the foot all over the place. The footbed is the only comfortable part. Moreover, the look of the shoe in this color with its perforations and hardware is a lot more "bondage" and clunky than I had expected. I ended up going with the Lolita sandal, which was not as high of a platform as I wanted and has a less cushy footbed BUT is much more comfortable overall, especially the straps.
