Super cute shoes, I got them in brown. Only bad thing is that they scuff very easily all over the brown strappy parts, so they already look like they are very old. If you can look past that, they are super comfortable and cute.

Bought the black and green. Cute, retro inspired shoe...very comfy. Runs true to size and has an adjustable strap. Disappointed that the insole is not leather. I know it won't wear as long as leather. Come on Dansko... get with it and go with leather insoles like the Lolita's which are always cool in the summer.

There's a pro and con here. Pros: the most comfortable sandal I've ever owned; no breaking in period; can walk all day in them; give a feminine look with the heel; can dress up (looks cute with little summer dresses) or down (cute with my shorts and tees - keeps me looking a little dressier and I feel more feminine in them than my birks). Cons: The ankle strap where it is attached to the shoe broke after only a couple of months of wear. What?? I wasn't particularly hard on them either. I expected much more from Dansko. I was told I could return them to the store where I purchased them for possible repair, but since I've moved I can't get to that store. I should have got them from Zappos like my other Danskos!!! Zappos rocks.

These sandals are extremely comfortable - cushiony, supported platform. I have wide feet with a high arch, and these feel heavenly. They are pretty cute, too, especially with jeans. I ordered red and didn’t realize from the photo that they have a silvery "ruby slippers" kind of sheen to them, so the red version is a bit more youthful-looking than I’d anticipated (was hoping for a more versatile plain red in either matte or patent-leather). Because they are so comfortable, I will probably get another pair in black. Oh yes, despite regular wear, they don’t have a bad smell.

The shoe fits true to size although after wearing it for a while it does become pretty loose. I don't know if other people experience this, they are pretty comfortable, but your feet get really "rough" with a lot of calluses, strange because the bedding of the shoe is very soft!

Cute retro shoe... I liked this shoe -- felt comfy on & looked really cute outta the box. On my foot, though... meh. They're really retro and while I usually like retro, these were just a little too high on the "clunk factor," ya know? I could see someone with sturdier legs looking much more balanced in this shoe, but on me, I came across looking too "foot-heavy" when I tried it on with my summer outfits. Oh well. It was fun to try! I like how you can adjust the width of the front of the shoe, as well as the ankle strap, of course. Very cute shoe, though. You know who you are, if you can wear this stuff...

Great, once you find one that fits. I am a true 7 1/2 M, so I asked for the size 38. It took going to two stores and trying on 6 pairs of the sissy to get a pair that fit. The problem on five of the shoes was the strap that goes around your heel in the back. When on, the strap stuck out anywhere from a half inch to a full inch. You cannot correct this your self, since the straps are not adjustable in the back. The sales person at a department store told me that my foot was too narrow, and not meant for this sandal. I then went to another store. Before I tried on the sandals the sales person made sure to tell me that the straps are loose and designed that way. The sales person also began to be inpatient with me as I had to try on several pairs. Finally I got a snug fit. The left shoe from one box. And the right from another box. That was a crazy thing the sales people were telling me, first my foot was too narrow, then my foot wasn't meant for that sandal, then finally hearing that they are supposed to be loose. I don't know about you, but I want my shoes to fit!! Not loose!! By the way I am worried about the foot bed not being smooth leather. I have a pair of Rockports with the same foot bed, they are now hard, black, gray, brown, and smelly. Even though I always washed my feet before wearing. Now every time I wear them, my husband tells me my sandals stink!! Its soo embarrassing!! When I take them off, I must run to the bath tub and wash my feet again. With these sandals I wanted other colors beside the black one, but I am worried. We will see with these.

These shoes are really cute, even for someone who has always hesitated to wear clogs in public (me). The comfort you expect, except...the toe area is way too short. Mine hang over just slightly, and if I start walking they REALLY hang over...it's just too embarrassing for me to go out in public with shoes that are really comfortable but just don't fit properly. I will try one size up (I bought the 39s, am usually an 8.5-9, but might try the 40s); although I'm pretty sure they will be too wide and too big. How unfortunate. I would like to keep them...

Extreme comfort and cuteness...but... This is such a comfortable and cute sandal but even though I have never worn larger than size 6, the 5.5-6 is just 'short' of the toes staying within the footbed so they kind of hang over a little too far to look ok! Otherwise the fit is absolutely perfect so even though they are going back and I have to go up to the next size, I pretty much know how it's going to work out...the next size being 6.5-7 will be huge in all respects but my toes won't hang over so at this point I'm thinking they will also go back and I won't be able to wear this one! This definitely runs very short and it's because of the sizing. Dansko needs to make them in at least even sizes like 6, 7, 8, etc. instead of the 5.5-6, 6.5-7 which will be too short and then too big as some other reviewers experienced.

Not the quality you think - This shoe does run small. I'm really a size 6 to 6 1/2 depending on the shoe. I ordered a 37 like the reviews said. However, even with the straps, my foot is narrow and the 37 is really too big. The 36 would probably fit but then my toes would be on the edge, if not over. For the price, I wouldn't buy. I'm exchanging.

Cute, but not the Dansko you think you're getting - I bought these sandals a few months ago and really loved them - mainly because they were a cute, "orthopedic" shoe that I felt I could wear everyday and feel stylish without exciting old feet injuries. I really liked these shoes (yes, past tense). They were very comfortable. THE ARCH IS NOT AS HIGH as all other Danskos. I ordered a few types of Danskos and these had the LOWEST ARCH by far. After wearing these for about a month (I live in Manhattan), the white footbed (I bought the white ones) was all black and dirty. I keep my feet clean, but the material of the footbed is very absorbent and doesn't stand up against dirt or sweat. Now, it's sort of embarrassing wearing them if they dangle at all and reveal the footbed. And finally, the STRAP BROKE right at the joint where the strap meets the shoe. This was my third pair of Danskos and I've never experienced one falling apart (aside from a lining coming out after years). Buy with caution if you live in a city and spend a lot of time walking - which is EXACTLY WHY I bought these in the first place.

Very Comfortable - These shoes are outrageously comfortable, especially for shoes with something of a heel. However, I don't really like the way they look (different from how they look in the picture, somehow), so I just wear them with flare leg jeans. All you can see, then, is the toe, which looks fine. I would definitely not wear these with shorts, skirts, or capris, which was kind of what I got them for--to be dressy/casual rather than just casual. As I said, though, they are very comfortable, like walking on a pillow, and have the rocker sole which makes them very easy to walk in (I carry a baby a lot, so I don't want to worry about tripping). Ah well, can't have everything. Would recommend these shoes, just not as your only summer sandals.

Comfy, but clunky. These seemed really comfortable shoes, and the poppy color is great. But they show too much toe at the top which I thought looked ugly, and they're a bit clunky. I normally wear an 8-81/2 and the 40 fit me in the length, but I have narrow feet, so had to buckle them tight. Probably great walking shoes, but they were just a bit too ugly for me, so I returned them. Thanks Zappos for great service, though!

Cute enough - I have a bad back so I needed to just bite the bullet and by sensible shoes for work. I am on my feet a lot and walk to work as well. They’re cute enough. They have a vintage look so fashion wise they're ok. The thing is, everyone says to order a 1/2 size larger. I am pretty much a solid 6 1/2. I ordered 37. They’re probably 1/2 a size too big. I'd order 36 next time if I buy Dansko again. Overall- I’d recommend them.

The ankle strap isn't secured to the shoe!!! I LOVED these shoes at first and wore them everywhere, since they're comfortable, light, and delightfully squishy. But then the stitching on the quarter-straps began to DETACH FROM THE SHOE! The straps aren't secured under the insole – they're just stitched to the outside with surprisingly flimsy thread. Fortunately I was able to take them to a good cobbler right away, and for a few dollars he was able to stitch the straps back on and reinforce them by actually sewing through the footbed. My sandals are saved and I love them again. But check the seams on the ankle straps if you intend to do any walking – and take them to a good cobbler if you think they're in danger of detaching. My Sissy story ended happily, but yours may not if you're not careful. Otherwise a great shoe except for this one flaw!

I have these sandals in brown. I really like these shoes, but I have 3 complaints: 1. Listen to everyone and buy 1 size larger. 2. I have to buckle them each time I wear them. Normally, if I buy shoes with a buckle, I would anticipate buckling them each time. But, I have bought Dansko before with a buckle and did not need to open the buckle each time. 3. I do not like the soft inside. I would have preferred a leather insole as opposed to the soft cloth or suede.

Not a fan of DRI-LEX - The Dri-Lex sock lining feels clammy on the foot...and summer hasn't even come on strong yet. I wish Dansko would've stuck with leather linings, and this shoe would be perfect.

Word of mouth can't be beat - I purchased these sandals after a friend of mine raved about them and let me stand in them to see how comfortable they are. She has a bad knee; I too have a bum knee and a hip, so it's important for me to have a stable, supportive, but stylish shoe to walk around in this summer. I purchased the brown pair as they're dark enough to almost pass as black leather and I like the contrast of the faux-wood outsole. I wore them today straight out of the box and they felt great, very cushiony. The leather straps are stiff as other reviewers have mentioned but I hope they will soften with wear and leather conditioner. In sandals I wear 7.5 or 8 depending on the cut of the shoe, in this sandal I went with a 39 and they fit just right. I have slightly wider feet than normal but not wide enough to buy wide width shoes, I also have a high arch and a high instep. There is a reason why more than 125 women have reviewed this shoe, it's worth it!

Comfy, but not pretty - Very, very comfortable - but kind of orthopedic and clunky looking - love the height. Maybe because I have the black ones, rather than a lighter color that might not call attention as much to the style...

I have really enjoyed this shoe! The length just fits with no extra toe room in the length for me. I wear a size 40 in the Dansko clogs and sandals and have found the fit to be very consistent. I can wear these all day and not have sore feet or legs. The shoe looks good with shorts, summer skirts and jeans. Definitely a great purchase.

Super comfy - Very, very comfortable shoes, I could walk all day in that. I'm a little worried about the fabric on the footbed -- it seems like it might get stinky over time.

Comfortable but clunky - Very comfortable but the platform makes it clunky. I wear a narrow, but this only comes in medium - the adjustable buckle makes it work when using the last hole. If/when the leather stretches, it will be too wide. The black dye stains your feet the first few times you wear these, so be prepared for that. Otherwise, it's a good shoe.

Good pair - These shoes are keepers. I got the light color and they are sufficiently cute and stylish to go with fashionable clothing and they are also comfortable. The only problem I have is that they seems to be a tad bit short....at times my toes go past the edge, so I would recommend going up a half size or so. They seem to be good for walking so far, but I don't think you can run around in them, as the gripping on the bottom isn’t super thick and they ARE wedges after all. All in all a decent shoe. Order a 1/2 size up and adjust the straps for a custom fit and you're good to go.

Cuter in picture. They are super cute in the picture, but once they're on it, sort of looks like support shoes, but I still wear them. I love Dansko. I had foot surgery two years ago and it's all I wear.
