Did not feel good on. I normally buy Sabago boat shoes,they are the only brand that seem to fit my feet well.

I normally take an 81/2 wide shoe... The Zappo app recommended 9W which I selected... I thought that maybe the shoe ran small and that the up sizing was to accommodate this factor. Out of the box they looked like clown shoes.... I had a good two inches from my toe to the tip of the shoe... Back in the box they went... This was my first buy of Dunham's so I guess it is back to Sperry....

I wear a 12B. These shoes were too wide in the heel.

NB / Dunham may have changed suppliers which has made their sizings are a little different - - but probably not full sizes........I can only hope these stretch .....But there are almost no other choices...... I've also replaced the furnished insole with a softer leather one.

Don't seem to be as comfortable as my previous Dunhams, but oh well..........Anyone who wears a 4E wide shoe knows Dunham is the only act in town. Then, if you'd prefer not to wear a sneaker, the only other choice is what Dunham offers. At least they're close to being sized correctly.

Bigger than the size 12 Saucony shoes I have which fit great despite ordering the same size. About half a size too large. Not particularly comfortable when taking steps. They look good, but could be better on comfortability/shock absorption.

I have only worm them twice, kinda stiff

There is a flap inside the tongue that rubbed against the top of my foot.

I have not sent this shoe back, but I may still do that. The problem is that the shoe just does not seem to be built around the same last that I have become accustomed to with Dunham products. I have owned at least four pairs of Dunham boots and all were comfortable from the first time I put them on but this is different. The fit and width are fine for my feet but the rear portion that comes up behind the heel of my foot seems to be shorter than I am used to, so that the the shoe slides up and down on the back of my heel like no other Dunham I've had -- causing the first heel blister I've had in years. It could be caused by the fact that this shoes features a lace which extends internally all the way around the heel of the shoe, thus perhaps exerting a unique pressure on a part of my own heel. I am hoping that this problem will solve itself as the shoes become more flexible with wear, but right now I've got to avoid these shoes until my heel heals!

Damn, these showed up quick! Nice shoes, but I did not anticipate an import. I though Dunhams were US made.

I wear size 13 6E. This shoe is definitely more narrow than a standard 6E and the last is not compatible with my foot shape. To be fair, I have had many problems lately with 6E widths. They have all been more narrow than normal. I have googled up shoe widths for men's shoes and they average to about 4 15/16th inches. None of my recent shoe orders are even close to that width on the inside. Otherwise, this shoe is very well made and looks nince.

Unfortunately this Chinese-made shoe has a very boxy toe which makes for an odd overall fit; not comfortable after extended wear.

Great looking shoe and have bought Dunham patterns in the past with great success. I have a narrow foot (B width). These are in no way narrows...way too wide so unfortunately they have to be returned.

Too small and way to tight of a toe box.

very nice shoe. the shoe is wide, but the sole is narrow which causes my foot to hang over the side. then the sole digs into the bottom of my foot.

Very comfortable shoe great for everyday shoe. But after six months sticking loosened around the top of the shoe. Worth sending for repair.

Heel support is excellent. I over probate and that heel helps. Just too narrow.

These shoes run VERY narrow. could not comment on comfort or support as my husband could not get them on his feet. He usually wears an 11 4E and even the 11 1/2 6E didn't come close to fitting.

Comfy, but style wise this brown version is a bit too much of an "old man" look. Returned and kept the green version which has a bit more style. Wife agreed with my take BTW :)

I have purchased Sperry boat shoes in the past, and tried these Dunham Captains. Because they cost more, I thought they might be better quality. I found them to be true to size, and comfortable, but they did not have the cushioning of the Sperry's, and I felt they were less comfortable for me. I have owned them 8 months now, and did not wear them every day, but nearly so, and the sole has separated from the last. So I believe the quality of construction and comfort to be less than that of Sperry. The Sperry's would wear out on me at about a year of daily use, and I had three pairs in a row before trying the Dunhams. That is the most objective way I can differentiate the durability.

Zappos was a great help with the return of my shoes. Defective in the lining of the toe box stitching. In only 2 1/2 month of occasional wear the lining fell out of the toes area. The shoes felt much better then my prior Sperry topsiders. Nice to have a wide width. New Balance issued my credit fro the defect and I now have a size 12 4E pair that are great to wear on the boat.

These are attractive comfortable boat shoes. They need inserts if you are going to walk any distance or across gravel with them on. The material they are made of shows wear almost immediately so they will look textured instead of smooth after wearing them a couple of times. I am going to keep them but they are not up to five star standards.
