not wide enough for puffy foot, cuts into instep

After 3 weeks, I can say these are the most comfortable shoes I own. Great that the insole is removable, so it can be replaced with my orthotics.

Incredibly lightweight with a large toebox that lets me wiggle them around. Worn for about a week now, construction seems very good. Soles don't provide a lot of shock absorption, you may need some insoles to help. I'm a large fella, so might just be folks of similar mass.

These shoes are amazing!!! I have two in every color. Fit is great and very comfortable with or without socks.

Bought these along with the brown version to compare. Kept these as I liked the color, style and fit. The brown version of these have a bit of an "old man" vibe that these don't. Wasn't sure if I was just crazy, but my wife agreed. Maybe we're both crazy :)

These shoes were excellent in every way. I usually have a problem with the width, but these shoes fit true to size. A special "Thank You" to the customer service staff who are very eager to help.

My husband has trouble finding shoes that fit well because he needs a 6E width. We had been reluctant to buy online, but with Zappos we have never been disappointed. We can find quality shoes and the fit is right. These shoes in particular look very stylish. When we shopped stores before, he had to give up comfort and fit if he wanted a good-looking pair of shoes. They never carried his size. With Zappose we can get both a good, comfortable fit and style.

I went the Dunham website after looking up orthopedic boat shoe on google. They couldn't ship, some sort of problems at the factory. ..ugh. so I tried Zappos and there they were in every color to ship now. The best. Start your shopping here. The shoes are beautiful and great support!

Fits great true to size and width. I add an arch support to my shoes. I have the dunham Captain in tan, black, blue and brown. They are great!

For someone who struggles to find comfortable shoes these were great.

I bought these for my son in law for Christmas. He wears a large size, and most styles were not available in his size. Really, I picked it only because it was available, but I'm glad I did. He wears the shoes often, and says they are very comfortable. Neutral color goes with many combinations of colors.

These shoes were for my husband. He buys shoes for comfort. These fit perfect, 14 WW. He loves them. And we both love shopping at Zappo's!

You'll never want to take these off! You can always count on Dunham (New Balance) to make not only a comfortable shoe, but stylish too. Great for those of us that wear larger sizes.

Fits great and I have narrow feet quality shoe

This is my third pair of Dunham Captain Shoes. I wore out my brown ones by walking so much and now I bought a black pair because my wife told me they needed to match hah! Love the shoes. They are very durable. Love that Zappos has what I want in stock and the size I need.

I wish I hadn't waited so long to get these. Very, very, VERY comfortable....I'd wear them everyday if I could...I may have to get them in some other colors.

Years ago I could find my shoe shoe size easy. For many years I couldn't find size 9 C. The Durham captain shoes I ordered couldn't fit me any better. Beside the size I love the style. Zappos you will see me again.

I always worry that the "right size" often doesn't provide proper toe clearance, but these fit perfectly right out of the box. Wore them for an afternoon, without socks, and they stayed comfortable throughout. These will be my new go-to casual shoes. Highly recommend.

I am constantly shopping for "boat shoes" that fit my husband.s narrow foot. There are very few companies that make narrow shoes any more. They are all medium or larger. He was so excited when these came in the mail. They were a perfect fit, comfortable from the get-go and had enough support that he didn't need to wear his arch supports with them,. He slipped them on, gave me a big smile and said "Order another pair right now." I hope you don't also phase out your slims. Not to mention that Zappos is wonderful to work with. I just started using them but will continue to do so. It's easy and convenient, Perfect way to shop.

For the last two years I have purchased this shoe for my son's school shoe. They are the only school shoes he has ever been able to wear the whole school year. Other boat shoe brands do not compare in comfort, sturdiness and overall quality. And to top it off, the shoe is available in extra wide widths. Great buy!

I have a narrow fit shoe. Regular shoe stores do not carry narrow widths. Zappos has it all. It took me three tries to get what I wanted, but I got it from Zapps!

I have a wide foot (4E) and I have trouble finding shoes that fit me well. I know that if I buy Dunham or New Balance in 12 4E I can wear them right out of the box. These 'Captain' Shoes fit me perfectly, are INCREDIBLY comfortable and have such a great look to them. I could not be happier!
