I really am pleased by the looks and feel. Mine said dbbl. E width, but I think they fit like a D. Don't be scared by the wide widths. Fast delivery and very happy by the whole process.

The fit and finish on these shoes is very good. Comfortable fit right out of the box. This is the first pair of Dunham’s that I have worn and I must say that I am impressed. IMHO they feel better than the Sperry’s I have purchased previously and are on par with Sebago’s which I have found to be an excellent shoe. Price was a little high but overall very satisfied with my purchase.

Great looking show in black, would have preferred a slip on but they weren’t available in my size. Still like them very much, light and comfortable.

I think that these shoes were exactly what I was looking for, the look and style I wanted.

I've been wearing boat shoes for 50 years. Rarely does a pair go past a summer's abuse befor3 I need new ones and the old pair is delegated to work in the garage or the yard. I have a wide foot, that puts pressure on the lateral seams, or the leather just craps out. I'm just finishing my second year with these, which have not only fit well but still look good enough to wear to "casual Friday". The only complaint I have is that the laces give out long before the shoes. Can you make them available separately? My shoe repairman would love it, but maybe you'd sell fewer shoes. What more to say? They are great in Ocean Racing conditions and look good enough for a candlelit dinner. Fix the lace problem and these will be the best boat shoes ever !

This is a nice looking shoe and the ability to wear a custom orthotic or over-the-counter arch support is wonderful about it, but, it does run a bit short. Measuring to the ball of the foot, if the size is 11.5 buy a 12 for a great fit. If you are a wide then buy a wide. The lacing system is true for this boat shoe and you can snug the laces so the heel has a good fit. Very sharp and stylish. I recommend this over a Sperry any day unless you are a true narrow. A Sperry boat shoe has a narrower pattern. Follow this advice and you'll love these shoes.

This is my fourth pair of this size,style, and width. I take an 11 1/2 6E. Very hard to find shoes that wide. For years I wore what I could find at regular shoe stores, usually 3E width was widest. My feet bothered me for years until I tried a very upscale shoe store. They measured and fitted me with very wide shoes. My feet felt better than ever. Shoes were quite expensive and looked orthopedic (ugly). These shoes are just as comfortable, look good and cost a lot less.

I wear a 12 narrow which are sometimes very hard to find. This is my second pair of Dunham Captain loafers and will buy a 3rd pair when needed. They are terrific shoes.

Wonderful shoe. I'm a woman and have wanted a boat shoe for quite a while but the heel was always much too wide, since I am buying the 4E and need the room in front. This shoe has a functional rather than decorative lace in the back, so you can completely adjust it. They are a little stiff but I'm sure will soften up and are comfortable enough right out of the box. It has enough room to accommodate my substanial orthotic, although I may wear just the insole provided when sailing and it is fairly supportive as well. Very high quality and the navy looks great with jeans. I would be happy with a somewhat cooler pair (temperature wise) in tan, but am celebrating success for my hard-to-shoe feet! Thanks to Dunham for making these wider widths.

I purchased this shoe to have something a little different than the other boat shoe I have bought over the years. I’m very pleased with my choice. I like the style and the fact they breathe well. Most importantly i have neuropathy and these shoes offer a more secure fit, probably because being a three eye shoe instead of two. I’ve only had these shoes a short time, worn every day, and I’m happy with my choice.

I am a tall large man and I love these shoes for their comfort, casual style and long wear. This is my secrets pair and will doubtless not be my last. I wear 17D and glad I found these shoes.

Does require a little break-in time but overall comfortable.

This is a great fitting shoe. I purchased the exact same shoe several years ago and in my opinion they stilll look great. My wife has a little different opinion. She said I needed a new pair. Shoes have a good support yet they are flexible enough to give comfort all day long. The service from Zappos is fantastic, if only our government could run as smooth.

I was looking for some shoes with more support to replace my Sperrys. These are really comfortable and stylish. I would definitely recommend these and/or buy them again.

Had these same shoes before from another store and they lasted a long time. I was glad to see these on the Zappos site. Ordering them was a no-brainer

Great shoes - this is my fourth pair. They are reasonably stylish, maybe a little heavy for a boat shoe but the fit and support are worth it. The "tan" color is natural leather, unfinished, and will wear to an informal natural look with sheen on the areas that get a lot of wear -- which I like. The "brown" color has a reddish brown finish which is OK, a little more dressy looking but I wish the color were a cooler brown. The fit and support are great. I normally wear an 11-EEEE but buy these in a 6E width which fits perfectly in the toe box, and the slight excess width in the upper is taken up by the lacing system which wraps all the way around the shoe and takes up slack when the natural motion of your foot pulls on the laces. Lateral stability is great, and I wear these for hiking on unimproved trails without a problem. Extremely comfortable, these are my everyday go-to shoes.

This is the 4th pair I have purchased. Have been wearing Dunham Captains for over 6 years. Need more be said!
