I am still 'breaking in', these sandals. Finn Comfort makes an excellent shoe. I purchased a pair of these shoes last year at the advice of a friend, for a trip to Europe. they were a closed walking type and so comfortable that I did not regret the very high price. I have extreme foot issues, aka pain, and wanted something lighter for summer.So far these seem equally promising. Both were from Zappos and I made a few exchanges, so easy with Zappos. I love them! So, if you require well made, comfortable shoes Finn Comfort is a good bet but do not expect to wear them all day at first. They need a break in period.

I loved the first pair so much, I bought a second! These shoes are Finn Comfort at its best. I love the support-especially at the heel which stabilizes the entire foot. I have custom orthotics, but I don't need them with these sandals. They ran large on my foot, so I kept the smaller size (36 instead of 37).

Of course, we all know Finn Comfort can be a little wide but because these are adjustable that is easily remedied. I have a terrible time finding shoes to walk in. Long feet, narrow heels and the problems of advanced adulthood make everything more difficult. I wear these with socks or without. They have quite a high arch and that works for me too. And my poor toes love it.

I love these sandals. I wear them all of the time in the house. I am in Massachusetts. As soon as the weather becomes warm, I will wear them all of the time. I am ordering another pair in a different color. Although I do not think that they are the prettiest style out there they, certainly help my back and feet. I was wrong! I have already received a compliment, "I like your sandals" (I did wear them outside during a very warm day) from a very stylish woman! Do not hesitate to purchase a pair!

I love these sandals and wear them all of the time. I have a problem getting sneakers to fit properly plus I need a good arch support. They aren't a dress sandal but I have Finn Comfort sandals for that which I don't like to wear my dress ones all of the time. Even in the winter, I wear them around the house. No more bad back! Love, love them.

Great comfort, stability, and support. Your own heel lift, if needed, can be inserted under the hefty removable cork footbed, which has terrific arch support and whole-foot support. I wish every woman who needs shoes with such all-over support to keep walking could afford these Finn Samara sandals.

This is my go to shoe. The rocker heel is the best design to relieve stress on my knees. Please don't ever stop making the Samara.

Best arch support I have experienced in a sandal. Only negative is I have a narrow heal and can't adjust the rear of the sandal to make it tighter

The shoes are a bit stiff and will need some wear around the house I think before trying them on a hike. Also the strap across the ankle takes some getting used to and the strap across the toes can irritate the skin at the nail bed. Overall, I think once they've had some wear they'll be good for hiking.

The pair I received is much darker in color than the light brown shown on the website. I actuall prefer the darker brown, so I am happy. On my first wearing, I quickly started to feel some irritation on my instep. Investigation revealed a rough border around the periphery of both top strap flaps. I fixed the problem by appying some moleskin padding purchased at the drug store. When first put on, the rocker sole feels rather funky, but you quickly adjust. Overall they feel pretty good to wear. They sometimes feel to me that there is too much arch support, perhaps due to the rocker sole, so I take them off and switch to something else to wear. I am satisfied with the purchase and will be keeping the Samaras.

Very nice shoes really wanted them to work but the heel that is like a rocker is not comfortable for my feet was way to much pressure on my arch. Otherwise a very nicely made shoe!

I first ordered these in my regular Finn Comfort size but had to return them for one size smaller. Even at that, while the length was ok, they run very wide. They look great and have one of the best arches for flat feet. But the straps across toe and ankle rub harshly. Also, this is my first attempt at a rocker shoe (have hallux rigidus) and think it would take some real getting used to. I immediately felt the difference in my legs. I think it would take a break-in period. I wish they worked because overall they are good-looking and arched beautifully.

If you have a narrow foot, be informed these run very wide. the look is fairly stylish for an ortho shoe.

I loved the sandal but the over ankle strap rubbed

I love these sandals and have two pair. Very comfortable. But be warned, the colors shown on line are not the colors of the actual shoes. The two pair that I have are much darker than what is pictured.

Even compared to other Finn sandals these are at least a whole size too big...two whole sizes different from the non sandal styles (I wear a 39 in Finn sandals but a 40 in their shoes). Otherwise I love Finns and plan to just get a smaller size in this style.

I tend to be very, very practical, and opt for comfort first. I just couldn't get past the extremely heavy look of these sandals, even for walking. The soles, I have to say, were heavenly.

This is a wonderful sandal for walkers with terrible feet (plantar fasciitis, injured toe, etc.). I've given them 4 stars overall because they are marvelous, but they do have a serious flaw. They must have been made for folks with high arches, hence the strong arch support, yet in spite of the fact that those of us with high arches, also have a high instep, the designer of these wonderful shoes fell short. As other reviewers have noted, the instep strap is way too short to reach the velcro on the side of the shoe, leaving them unwearable out of the box. However, I really wanted a sandal that could serve for long walks, and I felt the comfort and support. So it was worth it to me to spend a couple more dollars on a shoemaker, in order to add the needed velcro across that woebegone strap. Probably could have done it myself with strong glue, but wanted a couple of stitches as well.

I bought the Samara sandals at a local shoes store in Walnut Creek CA 10 days ago with a big discount. I walk 3 miles a day, 6 days a week. I live with sandals from the Summer through the Fall. I owned 4 pairs of Mephisto sandals (Shark, Jack, Norman and Zonder). I spent a lot of money in search for the best sandals in the world to made my feet happy (65 yrs old man, required a good sandal) . And yes, I have found two companies. The Mephisto and Finn Comfort. Of course, no sandals Made in China for me, period. The Samara gave me totally different feeling compared to the Mephisto Shark when I am walking. The feeling of my feet are being massage due to the high arch of the insole. My feet have medium arch. The slightly rocker sandal also give me the feeling being pushing forward a little bit. The Samara is an excellent sandal for walking if your feet have medium and high arch. From day one, I know that I will be walking with the Samara 3 days a week to share with the Mephisto Shark in my weekly walking. For the look and style of the sandals, I am favor the Mephisto because the Shark looks more manly. For the comfort, both sandals are the same except the Samara give your feet the massage's feeling! When you buy the Finn Comfort sandal, select the soft insole instead of firm standard classic. I returned the Finn Comfort shoes with firm insole. All the Mephisto sandals and shoes (Match) come with soft cushion leather insole. Excellent shoes but the price is too expensive for the Finn Comfort as well as Mephisto but if you want your feet happy and have a feeling walking on the cloud, these two shoes maker companies are the best walking sandal(Finn Comfort, Mephisto)/shoes (Mephisto) on the world.

Great shoes, best arch support I have ever tried on. Sized down. Usually a 38, 37's work great. They are on the narrow side for me, I am considering sending them back. but I love them and don't want to. I wish Finn Comfort would come out with a truly wide sandal. These are a true medium width. Best quality.

These shoes are very comfortable except for the ribbon strap that hurts my instep. If I loosen that too much, the heel slips up and down.

I have read that some people have trouble with the short ankle strap. I ordered 1 size down, because of this shoe being notated as running large. I had the same problem, but when I returned the size and ordered 1 size up (my usual size) it fit perfectly with no feeling of short ankle strap. My advice is order your usual size not a size down and that might work for you as it did for me.

I love this shoe. I have multiple issues and getting a good fit and comfort has never happened in the last 5 years. This shoe does what my very uncomfortable boot does, keeps my weight on my heel, rocks my foot forward with a roll and cause my weight to go back to heel. I am not limping, at all! I have to remember that I can walk normal again. I am saving up my money for another pair. My mom went half on these. The look is great also, I have been wearing a mans size 13 shoe in order to get my boot in-ugly! This shoe makes me feel good about myself. Well worth the money. I will be wearing these as we go on vacation to Colorado!

I have worn Finns for years. I hoped these sandals would work but are so uncomfortable that I had to bandaid some parts of my foot as it was rubbing too hard. I only wear Soft insoles. These insoles did not quite seem "soft". Only worn a few times. Perfect condition. I have to return them as I cannot wear them.

Wanting a sandal that had closed back and was adjustable, after a year of debate I decided to order it. After only 15 minutes, I knew this was not the sandal for me. Having many Finn Comfort sandals already which are incredibly comfortable, I was disappointed that the toe straps were so unforgivingly stiff and scratchy that I knew I would have blisters if continued to wear. The color also was so much darker than the photo as well. Last, I had hoped they might look a bit more feminine unlike my husband's MBT sandals!
